NASCAR Odds: Dickies 500 from Texas Motor Speedway

Johnson is a 4/1 favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at the online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Mark Martin (6/1), Jeff Gordon (7/1), and Juan Pablo Montoya (10/1).
Johnson has one career win at Texas Motor Speedway, which came in 2007. In 12 career races at this track, Johnson has finished in the top five six times. Johnson has finished in the top 10 in his last seven Sprint Cup races.
Martin is currently second in the point standings, 184 behind Johnson. Martin has one win at this track, which came in 1998. In 17 career starts at Texas Motor Speedway, Martin has five top-five finishes. Martin has finished outside the top 10 in two of his last three Sprint Cup races.
Gordon is third in the standings, 192 points behind Johnson. Gordon earned his first-career win at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this year and has finished in the top seven in four of his last five races at this track. A 20th place finish last week in the AMP Energy 500 was Gordon’s first finish outside the top 15 in eight races.
Montoya is fourth in the standings, 239 points in back of Johnson. Montoya has five career races at this track and has finished no better than seventh and has been outside the top 15 in three of those races. Montoya has finished outside the top 15 in two of the last three races.
