O’Reilly Challenge From Texas Motor Speedway

Three events remain in the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series, with the 2009 O’Reilly Challenge next up on Saturday from Texas Motor Speedway.

The field for this event is stronger than most Nationwide races, but points leader Kyle Busch is still favored to win.

Bet the O’Reilly Challenge

Busch is a 5/4 favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at the online sports book Sports Interaction. Other short odds to win are Joey Logano (3/1), Carl Edwards (5/1), Kevin Harvick (8/1), and Brad Keselowski (8/1).

Busch is the defending champion of this event and he also finished second in the 2007 race and fifth in 2005 to help give him short odds for Saturday. Busch leads the point standings by 215 over Edwards and has finished in the top five in six of the last seven Nationwide events.

Logano placed fourth in last year’s O’Reilly Challenge and has raced in 20 Nationwide events this year, winning five of them. Logano has won four of his last nine starts in this series.

Edwards finished second in last year’s race and has two other top-seven finishes in this race, making his odds a strong play for Saturday. Edwards has four wins on the year and has finished in the top 10 in his last nine Nationwide races.

Harvick is a three-time winner of this event, taking the checker flag from 2005-07, which makes it understandable why he is among the favorites. Harvick has raced in 20 Nationwide events this year and has two wins. Harvick has finished in the top five in his last seven Nationwide races.

Keselowski sits third in the standings, 257 points behind Busch. Keselowski finished seventh in last year’s race and sixth in the 2007 event. Keselowski has four wins his year, including the last race, the Kroger On Track for the Cure 250. Keselowski has finished in the top 10 in his last 14 races.

The O’Reilly Challenge will take place Saturday, Nov. 7 from Texas Motor Speedway at Noon ET. For complete odds and track information on this year’s event, see below.
