By Drew Sharper

(TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint cup Series is now set to begin the 10-race Chase for the Championship. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this title.

According to oddsmakers, Jimmie Johnson is the favorite to claim another title. He has been given 9/4 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Denny Hamlin (5/1) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (8/1).

Hamlin enters the Chase in the points lead due to his series-best four wins. Hamlin also had 11 top 5’s and 13 top 10’s this season. Hamlin is seeking his first Sprint Cup Championship.

Dale Jr. will begin the Chase in a tie for seventh place, 9 points out of first. Earnhardt had one win this year to go along with 10 top 5’s and 17 top 10’s. He is also seeking his first Sprint Cup Championship.
