Qualifying at Lowe's rained out, Busch on pole

Concord, NC (Sports Network) - Rain forced NASCAR officials to cancel Friday's Camping World Truck Series qualifying at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Therefore, the starting lineup for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 will be set by current owner points.

Twenty-one of 39 truck teams made their qualifying attempts before rain began falling on the 1.5-mile oval. Track drying efforts were not completed in time to finish the session before the start of Sprint Showdown qualifying for the Sprint Cup Series, scheduled for 5:10 p.m. (et).

Kyle Busch will start on the pole because his No.51 Billy Ballew Motorsports team is currently atop the owner standings. He has won two of the first five races this season (California and Atlanta). Busch sits sixth in the driver standings, as he missed Kansas four weeks ago due to Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series obligations at Talladega.

Mike Skinner will start on the outside pole.

Ron Hornaday Jr. will roll off third. Hornaday held the top spot in qualifying before rain forced cancellation.

Todd Bodine will start fourth, followed by Matt Crafton, who won this race last year.

Sixth through 10th will be: Johnny Benson, the defending series champion, Brian Scott, Chad McCumbee, Terry Cook and Stacy Compton.

Wayne Edwards, John Wes Townley and Andy Ponstein did not make the field.

Tonight's race is scheduled to begin around 8:00 p.m. (et).
