In his first Nationwide Series race, #99-Scott won the Coors Light pole for the Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a speed of 182.451mph, which is a new track record. #33-Kevin Harvick will line up second followed by: #16-Greg Biffle, #20-Denny Hamlin, #18, Kyle Busch, #66-Steve Wallace, #60-Carl Edwards, #88-Brad Keselowski, #1-Mike Bliss, and #32-Brian Vickers. #11-Scott Lagasse lost control of the car coming off turn 2 and backed into the wall. He will go to a backup. #84-Mike Harmon lost control between turns 1 & 2 and spun into the wall. He did not make the race.
