2010 MLB Playoffs ALCS Game 4: Yankees vs. Rangers Pick
By Drew Sharper

Looking to avoid a 3-1 hole in the ALCS the New York Yankees send A.J. Burnett to the mound against the Texas Rangers in Game 4.

Bet Major League Baseball

Texas took a 2-1 lead in the series after Cliff Lee dominated the Yankees’ lineup with 13 strikeouts in eight innings of work in a 8-0 victory for the Rangers.

Tonight, Burnett makes his first playoff start of the 2010 season against Tommy Hunter of Texas.

Here are some trends to consider and my pick for tonight’s playoff game 4:

Texas Rangers vs. New York Yankees, 8:07PM ET

Burnett is 4-2 against the Rangers with a 3.45 ERA but the Yankees are just 6-5 in his starts against Texas. Hunter is 0-1 against the Yankees but his team is 1-1.

The Rangers are 7-0 in their last seven road games and 7-0 in their last seven road games as an underdog. The Yankees are just 1-4 in their last five after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game and the Yankees are 0-11 in their last 11 Burnett starts when he faces a team with a winning record.

Texas has been the better team all series and really should be up 3-0. With the Yankees not showing confidence in Burnett, look for Texas to jump out early and take a commanding lead.
