2010 MLB Playoffs NLCS Game 5: Phillies vs. Giants Pick

The San Francisco Giants hope to punch their ticket to the World Series on Thursday when they take on the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 5 of the NLCS.
The Giants defeated the Phillies 6-5 in 10 innings on Wednesday to take a 3-1 lead in the series. The Giants have won both games at home in this series.
For tonight’s potential clincher, San Francisco sends ace Tim Lincecum to the mound to face Philadelphia ace Roy Halladay.
Here are some trends to consider and my pick for tonight’s playoff game 5:
Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Francisco Giants, 7:55PM ET
The Giants have now won 9 of the last 12 meetings against the Phillies and the Giants are 4-1 at home against Philadelphia this season.
Lincecum is 3-1 against the Phillies in his career with a 3.09 ERA while Halladay is 0-3 against the Giants with a 6.66 ERA.
The Giants are also 5-0 in Lincecum’s last five starts vs. a team with a winning record while the Phillies are 1-4 in their last five playoff road games.
The Giants seem to have all the momentum and their best pitcher on the mound and are still the underdogs. I would jump all over San Francisco to wrap up the series on Thursday.
