2010 MLB World Series Game 2: Rangers vs. Giants Pick
By Drew Sharper

After the Giants got past Cliff Lee and the Texas Rangers in Game 1, San Francisco looks to take a 2-0 lead in the World Series on Thursday.

Bet The World Series

The Giants were able to post eight runs in the first five innings of play against Lee and the Rangers last night, which allowed them to coast to an 11-7 win in Game 1.

The Giants have now won their last four meetings with Texas at home. In Game 2, Matt Cain takes the mound for San Francisco while C.J. Wilson is on the mound for Texas.

Here are some trends to consider and my pick for Game 2 of the World Series:

Texas Rangers vs. San Francisco Giants, 7:57PM ET

Cain doesn’t have a decision against the Rangers in his career, but he does have a 1.13 ERA and a 0.750 WHIP. Wilson has never pitched against the Giants in his career.

The Giants are 8-2 in Cain’s last 10 starts and 23-9 in his last 32 starts at home. The Rangers are 2-7 in Wilson’s last nine road starts vs. a team with a winning record.

San Francisco has the momentum being at home and they have to have the confidence after getting past Lee last week. I like the Giants to take a 2-0 lead.
