Phillies acquire Rosario from Toronto

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies acquired right- handed pitcher Francisco Rosario from the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday, in exchange for cash considerations.
The 26-year-old Rosario went 1-2 with a 6.65 ERA in 17 games (one start) for Toronto last season, his first in the majors. He holds a 20-26 mark over parts of eight minor league seasons, with a 3.38 ERA in 148 games (84 starts).
Rosario went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in eight games during spring training last month. He recorded nine strikeouts in nine innings.
A move will be made to fit Rosario on Philadelphia's 25-man roster when he joins the team in Miami tomorrow. The Phillies, who entered the season with high expectations, have dropped their first three games of the 2007 campaign.

CHICAGO -- Tonight's game between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins has been postponed due to the extremely cold temperatures and winds forecast for tonight.
The game will be re-scheduled on a date to be determined. Fans should retain their tickets and parking for tonight's postponed contest until a decision has been announced regarding the re-scheduled game.
The White Sox and Twins are scheduled to play Saturday at 2:55 p.m. and again on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. as the White Sox conclude this season-opening homestand. Tickets remain for both weekend games.

His fastball clocked at 95 mph and he retired 10 batters in a row during one stretch starting with the final out of the first inning.
