One day after winning the Home Run Derby, Minnesota's Justin Morneau scored the winning run in the All-Star Game on Tuesday night as he scored from third on a sacrifice fly by Texas' Michael Young to lift the American League to a 4-3 victory in 15 innings. The AL is 11-0-1 in the last 12 midsummer classics.
FORGETTABLE RECORD
Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla set an All-Star record no player wants to have, becoming the first player to make three errors in the game's history - booting two in the 10th and one in the 13th as the American League beat the National League 4-3 in 15 innings Tuesday night. Nomar Garciaparra was the last player to make two errors - in the 2000 All-Star Game. Former Yankees second baseman Willie Randolph was the last player before Garciaparra to boot two, in 1980.
SPEED DEMONS
The AL ran wild on the base paths in Tuesday night's 4-3 victory in 15 innings, stealing a record six bases in the All-Star game at Yankee Stadium. The previous mark belonged to the AL, which swiped five in a 13-8 victory in 1998, at Coors Field. Texas' Milton Bradely, Ian Kinsler and Joey Hamilton, the Yankees' Derek Jeter, Cleveland's Grady Sizemore and Boston's J.D. Drew each had one swipe. Houston's Miguel Tejada stole second for the NL in the eighth inning - giving the teams a combined seven steals to set an All-Star game record, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum didn't make it to his first All-Star game Tuesday night after he was hospitalized earlier in the day with flulike symptoms and dehydration. He was released in the afternoon but was not well enough to make the game.
DEBUT HR
Boston's J.D. Drew homered in his first career All-Star game at-bat, lining a tying two-run shot into the right-field seats in the seventh inning of the American League's 4-3 victory in 15 innings. Drew, who was selected the game's MVP, became the 15th player to homer in his first All-Star at-bat.
