I'll take my chances here with Minnesota at what I feel is a great price, seeing that they are playing excellent ball at the moment and are playing at home. Heading into Monday's action the Twins had won 8 of 10 and owned a 34-21 record at home. They will have their top starter going in Jose Berrios, who is 10-5 with a 2.79 ERA and 1.101 WHIP in 22 starts. Berrios has a 2.10 ERA in 9 home starts this season and a 0.92 ERA and 0.864 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Atlanta will have Mike Foltynewicz on the rubber and he's struggled to say the least in 2019. Foltynewicz is 2-5 with a 6.37 ERA and 1.416 WHIP in 11 starts. Last time out he got lit up for 8 runs in 4 innings at Washington. Twins are not the offense you want to face when you aren't on top of your game. Give me Minnesota -143!

I was on the wrong side of the A's loss to the Cubs on Monday, but I again feel the value is too good to pass up with Oakland on Tuesday. Even with the loss yesterday, A's are a red-hot 6-2 in their last 8 games.
Oakland put up 5 runs in the loss and have scored 5 or more in 3 of their last 4 games. I look for the offense to stay hot here against Cubs starter Jon Lester, who just gave up 5 runs on 9 hits in his last start at St Louis. Lester has a mere 4.50 ERA in his last 3 starts.
A's will counter with Brett Anderson, who has delivered his best outings on the road. Anderson is 5-2 with a strong 3.49 ERA and 1.090 WHIP in 11 road starts. Oakland is 13-3 in their last 16 off a SU loss and have won 6 straight road starts by Anderson. Cubs are also just 3-9 in their last 12 vs a left-handed starter and 2-5 in Lester's last 7 starts vs a team with a winning record. Take Oakland!

The Colorado Rockies will send out German Marquez (10-5 4.68 ERA) to take on the Houston Astros and Zack Greinke (10-4 2.90 ERA), who will be making his Astros debut. Aside from allowing 11 earned runs in 2 2/3 innings last month, Marquez has pitched really well, especially considering he calls Coors Field home. Greinke has faced the Rockies four times this season and has allowed nine earned runs in 26 innings. Over his last two starts against the Rockies he has allowed five earned runs and 15 hits. The Rockies are familiar with Greinke and should give him a rough time in his first start in Houston. Expect Greinke's Astros debut to get to him and not be as welcoming as he hopes.

Boy the Tigers burnt me yesterday when they looked like a super sharp selection and they do again today in game 1.
