CFL | Montreal vs Ottawa
Play on: Ottawa -9 -110 at BMaker
T.M. Selection: Ottawa RedBlacks (1* FREE PLAY)
Montreal enters off an upset 36-29 win over Hamilton and I think it has a predictable letdown vs. the hungry home side. Note that while Ottawa QB Vernon Adams Jr. had 202 passing yards, he didn’t have a TD. RB William Stanback was the offensive standout for the Als with three rushing TD’s. Suffice it to say I’m not expecting “lightning to strike twice” for Stanback this weekend. Ottawa QB Dominique Davis struggled in his last start as well, getting picked off twice, but finishing with 234 passing yards. Montreal though is a poor 2-7 ATS in its last ten after scoring 35 points or more in its previous contest and as mentioned off the top, I’m expecting a letdown here from the visitors after their big win last time out. I think the “hungrier” team finds a way to get the job done at the end of the night. Consider the home side in this one.

CFL | Calgary vs Hamilton
Play on: OVER 54 -110
The main storyline coming into this Week 5 clash is Calgary's 15-game winning streak over Hamilton (10-5 ATS). However, the betting action is on the total up three points to 55.5. The Ti-Cats have a long history of Under's mostly because of how bad they were. But Hamilton is coming around and actually leads the league in scoring at 39.2 PPG, Just below them is Calgary at 33.7 PPG and the Stampeders are 20-4 OVER in road games after a win by 24 or more points. The Ti-Cats gave a non-effort in loss to Montreal last week and is 7-0 OVER after allowing 8.1 or more yards a play in their previous game.

MIKE LUNDIN'S NATIONALS @ PHILLIES FREE PICK
The Washington Nationals opened this series with a 4-0 triumph Friday night. I think another low-scoring affair is in the cards with two red hot pitchers on the mound here on Saturday.
Phillies' right-hander Aaron Nola (8-2, 3.74 ERA) has been lit up with 11 runs (10 earned) over 9 1/3 innings against Washington this year, but he has posted a stellar 0.61 ERA over his last four starts overall. Nats' righty Patrick Corbin (7-5, 3.34 ERA) has compiled a 0.96 ERA over his last four starts. Corbin is 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA against the Phillies in five career starts.
Under is 7-1 in Nationals last 8 overall. Under is 9-3-1 in Nola's last 13 Saturday starts. Under is 3-1-1 in Nola's last 5 home starts.
Free pick on UNDER.

MLB | Astros vs Rangers
Play on: Rangers +118 at 5dimes
Free Play on Rangers +118
The Texas Rangers have taken the first two games of the series against the Houston Astros. Texas' offense is looking like it did earlier in this season when they were first in the league in runs per game. All-Star Mike Minor (8-4 2.54 ERA) gets the start for the Rangers and has one of the best ERAs and WHIPs (1.13) in all of baseball. In nine of Minor's 18 starts this season he has allowed one earned run or less. He has started against Houston twice already this season and has only allowed three earned runs in 12 innings. Expect the Rangers to continue their hot streak out of the All-Star break and continue to close the gap between them and the Astros in the A.L. West. Texas has a top-five scoring offense in baseball. When they have their ace on the mound pitching this well and their offense is clicking at the same time, they are tough to beat. Texas is 6-1 SU in their last seven home games against Houston. Houston is 3-8 SU in their last 11 road games.

Your Saturday comp play is the Nats and Phils to hold Under the total.
Washington blanked Philadelphia 4-0 last night in a game that held Under the posted total, as the Nationals and the Phillies have now played 4 of their last 5 this season, and 5 of their last 7 Under the posted price.
For the Nats, they bring a 3 game Under streak into tonight's affair, and 7 of their last 8 have also landed Under the total.
Patrick Corbin's ERA for his last 3 season starts is a tiny 0.86, while Aaron Nola sports an ERA of 0.42 for his last 3 season starts.
With ERA's like that, and the slew of Unders these teams have combined to play this season, it would not surprise me if Corbin and Nola went out there and hung goose eggs deep into the South Philadelphia night.
Nats and Phils go low on Saturday,
5* WASHINGTON-PHILADELPHIA UNDER

My complimentary winner is on the Milwaukee Brewers over the San Francisco Giants, and I want you to list the scheduled starting pitchers, with Zach Davies over Madison Bumgarner.
After an extra-innings loss last night, the Brewers will have a bit of revenge on the brain, and Davies is the right guy to silence San Francisco's bats.
The right-hander was the team's most pleasant surprise in the first half, as he's responded well from an injury-plagued 2018 season. He won his first seven decisions this year, and was sporting a 2.41 ERA before taking a loss in San Francisco on June 14.
Now, he gets his rematch against these same Giants. And I'm banking on him to do some damage against one of the weakest lineups in baseball. San Francisco has the worst batting average, at .230, and has scored the fourth-fewest runs this season, with 379.
Then you factor in Bumgarner, who left his last start against the St. Louis Cardinals last Saturday, when he lasted just two innings after taking a comebacker off his pitching arm. Last he faced the Brewers, on June 15 at Oracle Park, he was pelted for five runs (three of them earned) over six innings.
Take the Brew Crew here.
2* BREWERS (Davies over Bumgarner)

Saturday comp play is the Twins and Indians to hold Under the total once again.
Last night the teams combined for just 8 runs as they held Under to open their key divisional showdown at Progressive Field. For Minnesota, they have played their last pair of games and 5 of their last 8 overall Under the posted total.
For Cleveland, the Under they are a modest 3-3-1 Under the total for their last 7 games played. More importantly, the Under moved to 12-5-1 the last 18 times these teams have faced one another with Friday's Under.
It will be Jake Odorizzi and Trevor Bauer facing one another. Odorizzi has hit a rough patch, but this being his first start of the second half, I think he returns to the form that landed him a spot on the All-Star team (did not pitch due to a blister on his pitching hand).
Bauer is coming off of 7 innings with just 1 run allowed in his last start prior to the break, and is unbeaten over his last 6 trips to the hill with 1 run or less allowed in 4 of those 6 starts.
Another game that inches close - but not Over the total - tonight at Progressive Field.
Take the Twins and Indians Under the total.
3* MINNESOTA-CLEVELAND UNDER

MLB | Rays vs Orioles
Play on: Rays -1½ -138 at Pinnacle
10* FREE MLB PICK (Rays -1.5, -138)
I'll gladly take my chances here with Tampa Bay on the -1.5 run line in Game 1 of Saturday's double-header against the Orioles. The Rays returned from the All-Star break in fashion, scoring 16 runs on 20 hits in a blowout win Friday. That offense should have no problem putting up another big number in the first of two on Saturday, as Baltimore will send out Aaron Brooks and his 5.75 ERA and 1.341 WHIP in 6 starts. Brooks has been even worse than that with a 7.54 ERA in his last 3 starts. Tampa Bay counters with rookie Brendan McKay, who has really impressed in his first two big league starts, allowing just 3 runs on 7 hits with only 1 walk in 11 innings vs two really good offensive teams in the Rangers and Yankees. Give me the Rays -1.5 (-138)!

Play on: Ottawa -9 -107 at Pinnacle
With Thursday's winner, Ben Burns is now a SICK 13-2 his last 15 CFL plays. That includes a PERFECT 9-0 RECORD with his 'side' selections. Today, Ben makes it 10 IN A ROW. Here, he takes a look at this afternoon's Montreal Ottawa contest:
Off a bad loss vs. Winnipeg, the Redblacks are going to be anxious to take out their frustrations on someone. The Alouettes represent the perfect opponent to do just that against. In its two road games, Montreal has been outscored by an average of 19 points. Last time on the road, the Als lost by a score of 41-10. The Redblacks were laying -15.5 points the last time that they hosted the Als but lost outright. Needless to say, Ottawa hasn't forgotten. Payback time this afternoon. Consider laying the points.

Jack’s Free Pick Saturday: Miami Marlins +125
The Mets figure to be sellers at the trade deadline. Tonight’s starter Noah Syndergaard is one of their top trade candidates as well. It’s a huge distraction for the team, especially for Syndergaard, and I just don’t think we get his best effort tonight.
It’s not like Syndergaard has been all that effective this season anyway. He is 6-4 with a 4.68 ERA in 17 starts, including 1-2 with a 5.02 ERA in seven road starts. Syndergaard has posted a 5.94 ERA and 1.680 WHIP in his last three starts overall as well.
Zac Gallen is a top prospect for the Marlins. He has made three starts this season with a 4.50 ERA with 16 K’s in 12 innings. I think he’ll have some success against the Mets, which will be the weakest lineup he has faced yet this season.
The Mets are 8-27 in their last 35 road games. New York is 1-9 in its last 10 vs. a right-handed starter. The Marlins are 4-0 in their last four Saturday games. Miami is 4-0 in its last four home meetings with New York. Bet the Marlins Saturday.

1* Free Play on Nationals +110
With 11 wins in their last 13 games, the Nationals (48-42) will look to stay hot when they face the Phillies (47-44) in Philadelphia this evening.
Taking the mound for the Nats will be Patrick Corbin (7-5, 3.34 ERA), who can boast an impressive 0.96 ERA over his last four starts. In his last go, Corbin allowed just five hits and no runs in seven innings.
Opposite Corbin will be Aaron Nola (8-2, 3.74 ERA). Although he had a no-hitter through his first 5 1/3 innings of his last start, Nola allowed two runs (one earned) and three hits against the Mets on Sunday.
And despite being a Cy Young candidate last year and holding a solid record this season, Nola is just 4-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 17 career outings against Washington.
With 35 career at-bats against Nola, Anthony Rendon will be particularly excited to face the right hander and improve his .343 average against the Phillies’ ace.

MLB | Tigers vs Royals
Play on: Tigers -103 at GTBets
1* Free MLB Pick on Detroit Tigers -103
This is just too good a price to pass up with Detroit in a road game against the Royals. KC is one of the few teams that are equally as bad as the Tigers and Detroit has the edge on the mound in this one with Matt Boyd facing off against Brad Keller.
Boyd is one of the few bright spots for the Tigers, as he's 6-6 with a 3.87 ERA and 1.122 WHIP in 18 starts, racking up 142 strikeouts in 107 innings. Keller comes in with a 4.47 ERA and 1.446 WHIP in 19 starts. KC is just 6-13 in those 19 outings. That include a 1-6 mark over his last 7. Royals have also lost 5 straight Keller starts against division opponents and KC is a mere 7-22 in their last 29 off a win (won 8-5 on Friday). Take Detroit!

Kyle Freeland (2-6, 7.13 ERA) is expected to start for the Rockies will recall lefty Kyle Freeland, who went from Cy Young Award candidate last year and Opening Day starter this year to going into a slump and needing some work in the minors on his form down in the minors. Im betting on a triumphant return to the big leagues here today.
FREELAND is 16-2 against the money line vs. teams whose hitters strike out 7 or more times/game in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. (Team's Record) FREELAND is 11-1 against the money line vs teams who strand 6.9 or less runners on base per game in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. (Team's Record) FREELAND is 8-0 against the money line vs. an NL team with a batting average of .245 or worse in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. (Team's Record)
CINCINNATI is 8-24 against the money line in road games vs. NL teams allowing 5 or more runs/game on the season over the last 3 seasons.CINCINNATI is 6-19 against the money line after batting .175 or worse over a 3 game span over the last 3 seasons.CINCINNATI is 6-16 against the money line on the road when the money line is +125 to -125 this season.
MLB favorites with a money line of -125 to -175 (COLORADO) - with a team slugging percentage of .440 or better on the season (NL), with an on base percentage of .300 or worse over their last 15 games are 62-16 L/22 seasons for a 80% conversion rate for bettors.
