MLB | Tigers vs Mariners
Play on: Tigers +142 at 5dimes
Free Play on Tigers +142
Tyler Alexander (0-0 2.25 ERA) will make his third start of the year for the Detroit Tigers. Alexander has looked good so far in his 12 innings this season. Alexander has only allowed three earned runs, two of them on solo home runs, and he has a WHIP of 0.75. Marco Gonzales (11-8 4.37 ERA) will get the start for the Seattle Mariners. Gonzales has had some real rough outings in the last two months. He has three starts where has allowed six or more earned runs in his last 10 starts, including a 10 earned run game. Expect Alexander to have another solid outing against a Mariners offense that has been in decline as the season has progressed. Gonzales has had some real bad outings this season and the Tigers should be able to get enough runs off of him to get Alexander the win.

MLB | Cubs vs Brewers
Play on: Brewers -113 at Pinnacle
10* FREE MLB PICK (Brewers -113)
I'll take my chances here with Milwaukee as a small home favorite against the Cubs. Just a really good price here to get a team like the Brewers at home, especially against a struggling starter like the Cubs Jon Lester. In his last outing at home against he Padres, Lester labored through 6 innings, somehow only giving up 4 runs on 12 hits. He's got an awful 1.526 WHIP in his last 3 starts and is facing a Milwaukee team that is going to come in with a ton of confidence after last night's late rally in a 3-2 win. Brewers starter Chase Anderson has a 2.20 ERA and 0.979 WHIP in his last 3 starts and a 2.71 ERA in 11 career starts against the Cubs. Give me the Brewers -113!

MLB | Indians vs Royals
Play on: Indians -190 at 5dimes
1* Free MLB Pick on Cleveland Indians -190
Easy play on the Indians as a big road favorite against the Royals. Cleveland can't be stopped right now. They have won the first two games in the series at KC and are now 11-2 in their last 13 games.
Hard to see them losing here. Indians will send out Mike Clevinger, who has been one of the hottest starters in the MLB in July. Clevinger has a 1.88 ERA in 4 July starts. He's also owned the Royals, going 6-0 with a 2.05 ERA and 1.027 WHIP in 10 starts. His only start vs the Royals this year was at KC and he didn't allow a run in 6 innings of a 4-0 win.
Indians are a dominant 32-9 on the season vs a team that is scoring 4.4 runs/game or less. Royals enter today's action scoring just 4.3 runs/game. Indians are also 8-1 in their last 9 road games vs a team with a losing home record and 20-7 in Clevinger's last 27 starts against a division foe. Take Cleveland!

MLB | Indians vs Royals
Play on: Indians -1½ -128 at Pinnacle
This is a Free play on Cleveland -1.5.
The Indians come into Game 3 of this series in Kansas CIty as winners of five of their last six, and four of those five wins came against the Royals.
Mike Clevinger will toe the slab for Cleveland, and he's pitched well against the Royals. He tossed six scoreless inning in a win over over Kansas City earlier this year, and the Royals have hit just .228 over a combined 136 at bats versus Clevinger.
The Royals hand the ball to Glenn Sparkman, who was roughed up by Cleveland in his last start. He gave up five runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings in that game.
The Royals have lost seven of his last 10 starts.
Take CLE.

Play on: Astros -178 at 5dimes
The MLB Comp Play for Saturday is on Houston at 7:15 eastern. The Astros should bounce back here tonight after blowing the lead allowing 3 runs in the 8th inning in a 5-3 loss. That loss sets them up in a nice 14-3 system. . Houston has won 7 of 9 vs winning teams and 13 of 17 on Saturdays. They are 6-1 behind Cole vs a winning team and he is 5-1 on 4 days rest. Cole has won 3 of 4 here in St.Louis. The Cards have lost all 4 at home with Ponce Deleon and 10 of 15 at home vs a winning A.L. Team. Look for Houston to take this one. . For the MLB Comp Play. Take Houston. RV- GC Sports

Saturday comp play is the Braves over the Phillies once again.
After winning 3 in a row, Philadelphia came back to reality in last night's series opener, as they were spanked once again by Atlanta, 9-2.
For the Braves, it marked their third straight win over the Phillies, and it was also their fifth win in the last seven series meetings this year since getting swept in Philly to open the year.
Max Fried was on the hill in a 9-8 Braves win over the Phillies back on June 14th, but did allow 5 runs in his 4-plus innings worked. Atlanta has won 9 of his last 12 starts.
Zach Efflin has allowed 6 runs or more in 3 of his last 5 assignments, and did allow 6 earned runs (7 total) in his 4th of July start against the Braves to open the month of July.
The bottom line is this, the Braves are in first place and the defending N.L. East Division champions. They know they can beat this Phillies team. Heck, they just showed it last night by blowing them out by 7 runs in the opener.
Look for the Braves to take care of business again this evening.
Play Atlanta over Philadelphia.
4* ATLANTA

COMPLIMENTARY WINNER
My free play is on the Atlanta Braves against the Philadelphia Phillies, and I insist you list Max Fried over Zach Eflin in this one.
Fried, who is 10-4 with a 4.08 ERA, will return from the injured list and should be geared up for his first since developing a blister during a July 15 win in Milwaukee. The young left-hander will most certainly e fresh, his arm will be lively, and his velocity will be top notch against the Phillies' lineup after totaling just 10 innings across two starts this month.
Meanwhile, as the Phillies believe Eflin is healthy and ready for an encounter with the division-leading Braves, the right-hander has complained about feeling "heavy" of late, and that can pose an upper body issue, and affect his delivery.
That doesn't bode well in a game like this, as the right-hander is 1-3 with a 9.38 ERA in his last five starts and now faces a team with the eighth-best batting average (.261) in baseball, and has scored the seventh-most runs (547) this season.
Take Atlanta and list both.
2* BRAVES (Fried over Eflin)

MLB | Yankees vs Red Sox
Play on: Red Sox -134 at YouWager
My free play is on the Bos Red Sox at 4:05 ET. The New York Yankees did take two of three to open the week at Minnesota but gave up 27 runs in the process. New York arrived in Boston on Thursday to open a four-game series with the hated Red Sox and its pitching woes have gotten worse. Tanaka allowed 12 ERs in just 3.1 innings in Thursday's 19-3 loss and then Paxton allowed seven ERs in four innings during Friday's 10-5 loss. The 66-37 Yankees still own a nine-game lead over Boston in the AL East (Rays are 8 1/2 back) but New York's pitchers have allowed 64 runs in the team's last six games. Starters have lasted just 21.2 innings in that span, allowing 47 runs (43 earned) on 47 hits (including 16 HRs) a 17.86 ERA. Eight Boston players had at least two RBI in Thursday's win, while reigning AL MVP Mookie Betts led the offensive assault in Friday's romp, hitting three HRs and adding an RBI double (5 RBI in all) to become the first player in history with four three-HR games out of the leadoff spot. Boston is 11 games over .500 for the first time this season (58-47) but even wins Saturday and Sunday would only close the gap between them and the Yankees to seven games. CC Sabathia (5-5, 4.50 ERA) will take the mound for New York on Saturday afternoon, opposed by Boston's Eduardo Rodriguez (12-4, 4.10 ERA). This is CC's last season and he's been AWFUL on the road. He may be 4-1 with a 2.60 ERA and 1.11 ERA in eight home starts (Yanks are 7-1) but in eight road starts, he's 1-4 with a 6.59 ERA and 1.59 WHIP (Yanks are 2-6). He's had plenty of experience against the Red Sox but is a modest 18-17 (4.43 ERA) in 46 career starts (team is 21-25). Rodriguez won his sixth consecutive decision with a superb effort at Tampa Bay last time out, limiting the Rays to two hits over seven scoreless innings to improve to 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA in July (Boston is 5-1). Rodriguez is unbeaten in his last eight starts (Boston is 7-1) and enters this contest with MLB's second-best moneyline mark (16-5 in team starts, plus-$1.043). Rodriguez remains underappreciated, as Boston went 19-4 in his starts during 2018, giving him MLB's 6th-best moneyline mark at plus-$1,347. It's time for him to get his due. Take Boston. Good luck...Larry
