My free play is on the Los Angeles Dodgers over the San Francisco Giants.
Don't look now, but the defending National League champion Dodgers are on the rise, surging from the cellar. They're just 2 1/2 games back of Arizona, having won four in a row and eight of 10 after knocking off a tired Giants team last night, 3-2.
San Francisco has to be exhausted after touring through Washington D.C. and Miami before heading to Southern California to play its arch-rival this weekend. On eastern time, the Giants played at 10:10 pm last night, and couldn't complete the rally after falling behind 3-0. Even after a good night's rest, I don't see how they're going to challenge the red-hot Dodgers.
Don't worry about listing pitchers in this one, as Los Angeles is playing well all around, and will get the best of the Giants.

My free play for tonight is on the Arizona Diamondbacks against the New York Mets, and it's going to be on the Run Line.
Though pitchers are automatically listed when making Run Line wagers, I am insisting you DO NOT worry about who the scheduled starters are. In the event of a scratch, you MUST re-wager the game with the new pitcher(s) who are scheduled. This play will stand no matter who pitches for either team.
What we have are two teams headed in different directions, with the D-backs winning eight of 11 and the Mets losing 12 of their last 13 and 18 of 22.
And make note, this is a bad time for the Mets to visit scorching hot Phoenix, consequently not because of the desert heat, but because revenge is looming.
The Mets swept a three-game series from Arizona at Citi Field from May 18-20. Problem is, New York hasn't won a series since, losing six and splitting one. And now they enter hostile territory, as the Snakes are 22-14 at home and will be looking to carry momentum over from last night's series-opening win.
Lay the run line with Arizona.
