Play - Pittsburgh Pirates w/Williams vs Flaherty (Game 906).

Edges - Pirates: Williams 3-0 with 0.00 ERA last three team starts … Cardinals: Flaherty 7-1 last eight overall team starts. With the Pirates currently riding a 15-4 win skein, we recommend a 1* play on Pittsburgh. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Astros vs Dodgers
Play on: Dodgers -107 at 5Dimes

Jack’s Free Pick Sunday: Los Angeles Dodgers -107

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be highly motivated to avoid the sweep Sunday after losing the first two games of this series to the Houston Astros. This is a World Series rematch as well, so the Dodgers will certainly be out for revenge Sunday.

Rookie Walker Buehler is having a fine season for the Dodgers. He is 4-3 with a 3.04 ERA and 0.985 WHIP in 12 starts this year. He has done his best work at home, going 2-2 with a 1.70 ERA and 0.756 WHIP in seven starts.

Gerrit Cole is certainly having a great season for the Astros as well, but he’s getting too much respect from the books today. And Cole has posted a 5.55 ERA and 1.402 WHIP in six career starts against the Dodgers. He has allowed 10 earned runs and 22 base runners over 10 2/3 innings in his last two starts against them.

The Dodgers are 5-1 in their last six games after losing the first two games of a series. Los Angeles is 18-7 in its last 25 games following a loss. Bet the Dodgers Sunday.

MLB | Blue Jays vs Mariners
Play on: Mariners -147 at BetPhoenix

My free play is on the Sea Mariners at 4:10 ET. The Toronto Blue Jays won 4-1 last night in Seattle, putting themselves in a position to sweep their four-game series with the Mariners. It's the final game of the team's 10-game road trip and a win would give the Jays a 6-4 trip, although at just 51-59, Toronto finds itself 26 games back of the first-place Red Sox in the AL East. As for Seattle, the Mariners' seven-game homestand started well as they beat Houston 2-0 back on July 30th, but they have since lost five in a row. The Astros took the final two games of that series 5-2 and 8-3 plus the Jays have won the first three games of this four-game series handily, each by four runs or more. The Mariners were 56-32 in games played through July 5th but they have since gone 7-16 to fall to 63-48, leaving them 2 1/2 games back of the A's for the AL's second and final wild card spot.

Sam Gaviglio (2-4, 5.10 ERA) will take the mound today for Toronto and his winless streak reached 12 starts on Tuesday, when he surrendered five runs on eight hits over 2 2/3 innings in a 6-2 loss. He's 0-4 in that 12-start winless stretch, although Toronto is a more respectable 5-7 that span (little thanks to him, though). Gaviglio's last win came back on May 25 at Philadelphia, where he gave up three runs over six innings in what was just his second start of the season. Gaviglio will be facing Seattle for the first time in his brief two-year career.

Mike Leake (8-7, 4.16 ERA) is coming off his third consecutive loss, a 5-2 home setback against Houston on Tuesday. He allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings and has gone six starts since his last win (team is 2-4), which was a 7-2 victory at Boston back on June 2. Leake improved to 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three career starts against the Blue Jays with a 9-3 victory at Toronto back on May 10 in which he allowed two runs over seven innings.

The Blue Jays seem to feel right at home at Safeco Field in Seattle, as thousands of Canadian fans stream south over the border whenever their team comes to Seattle. Chants of "Let's go Blue Jays!" ring out several times throughout the games. However, I want no part of the team's Sunday starter, Sam Gaviglio. Sure, the Mariners have scored just 11 runs during their five-game losing streak, but Leake has been a big money-maker for Seattle in 2018. His record may be just 8-7 but Seattle is 14-8 in his 22 starts, giving him a moneyline mark of plus-$874, the fifth-best mark among all MLB starters. No sweep here! Take Seattle.

Play on: Mariners -143 at betonline

10* FREE MLB PICK (Mariners -143)

I'll gladly take my chances here with Seattle snapping their 5-game losing streak with a much-needed win over the Blue Jays at home on Sunday. The Mariners have really struggled to get anything going offensively during their 5-game skid, but Toronto's Sam Gaviglio is the perfect guy for them to snap out of their funk. Gaviglio is just 1-4 with a 5.29 ERA in 14 starts. He's got a 8.78 ERA in 7 road starts and a 7.04 ERA in his last 3 outings. On the flip side of this, Seattle will give the rock to Mike Leake, who has a strong 2.95 ERA and 1.091 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Leake also has a 2.45 ERA and 0.818 WHIP in 3 career starts against the Blue Jays. Give me the Mariners -143!

MLB | Angels vs Indians
Play on: Indians -1½ +115 at YouWager

#MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

The Cleveland Indians have won six of their last nine and Corey Kluber pitched a three-hitter for his first shutout this season Saturday night. The Halos have now dropped five of their last six and Mike Trout has missed the last three games with a right wrist contusion.

Shane Bieber (5-2, 4.73 ERA) will toe the slab for Cleveland. He was 4-0 with a 2.97 ERA through his first five major league starts before hitting a rough patch his last four. He was decent his last time out though, fanning seven Twins while allowing three runs in 6 1/3 innings at Minnesota.

The Angels counter with Deck McGuire (0-1, 6.12 ERA) who will start in place of scheduled starter Tyler Skaggs for his fourth start. In his last start, McGuire pitched three innings against the Dodgers, giving up three runs and four hits with two strikeouts and two walks. He has been tagged with eight runs in 9 1/3 innings as a starter with LAA.

Angels are 3-13 in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning record. Indians are 39-13 in their last 52 home games vs. a team with a losing record.

Free pick on Cleveland Indians -1.5.

My free play winner for Sunday is the Braves over the Mets.

Atlanta got shutout last night, as Zack Wheeler was dealing strong for New York, and the Mets ended both a 4 game losing streak, and a 4 game series losing streak last night.

I like the Braves to return the favor today with Julio Teheran on the mound opposing Corey Oswalt.

Atlanta still has captured 5 of their last 6, and Teheran has been very stingy when it comes to facing the Mets this season, as his ERA is 0.86 in 3 starts this year against New York.

Oswalt is making just his 6th big league start, and while he is coming off of his first big league win, his ERA is still up there at 5.27 for his limited time on the mound.

Braves need to keep pace with the Phillies, so look for a rebound win from Atlanta this Sunday afternoon.

3* ATLANTA

I'll continue to ride the Philadelphia Phillies, only today it is my free play, as I'm once again playing them on the Run Line.

As I told you last two nights, without trying to jinx things, there is something very special taking place in the city of Philadelphia this year, and it would not surprise me to see the Phillies get to the World Series this year, and challenge either the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians or Houston Astros.

We saw the Eagles win the Super Bowl. We saw Villanova win the National Championship. Now the Phillies are looking to make a run. Today they'll feed off last night's 8-3 win with another big victory, to close out the series and carry momentum into the week.

Though pitchers are automatically listed when making Run Line wagers, I am insisting you DO NOT worry about who the scheduled starters are. In the event of a scratch, you MUST re-wager the game with the new pitcher(s) who are scheduled. This play will stand no matter who pitches for either team.

The Phillies come into this contest with a one-game lead over the Braves in the National League East, as the two continue to battle atop the division. And what I love about this Phillies team is can attack both at the plate and in the field.

Philadelphia heads into Sunday's matchup fresh off of a dominant performance by Adam Morgan, and Zach Eflin, as they tossed a combined four-hitter on Saturday while erupting for an 8-3 win.

Philadelphia's pitching staff averages 9.1 strikeouts per nine innings, and today it get a Marlins team that has dropped its last five contests. Miami is hitting a modest .243 as a team this season, and I don't know if it can hang with the Phillies, who have now defeated the Marlins by a combined score of 18-6 the last three nights.

Over their last 10 games, the Marlins have lost seven, have a paltry .226 batting average, and a whopping 5.30 ERA. They also have a -22 run differential. That pales in comparison to a Phillies team that is hitting .260, has a stingy 3.09 ERA, and is sporting a +12 run differential in its last 10.

We don't worry about pitching here when the Phils have guys like Rhys Hoskins, who is hitting .267 with 98 hits and 22 home runs in 101 games this year for the Phillies. Nick Williams has 14 hits in his past 10 games for the Phillies.

Look for a strong performance by whomever is on the hill for the Phillies, and by their offense.

My free play for today is on the Milwaukee Brewers over the Colorado Rockies.

Now I won't list pitchers in this one, but I can tell you the Brewers are 4-2 in Wade Miley's starts this year. That gives Milwaukee a bit of confidence coming in. Bottom line is, I don't think it matters because Brewers pitchers are holding opponents to just a .232 batting average this season.

The Rockies are looking to end a four-game losing streak after the Brewers won 8-4 in last night's meeting. Today's offense will be sparked by Jesus Aguilar, who has 26 home runs and a team-leading 77 RBIs in 101 games for the Brewers. Travis Shaw has six runs scored in his past 10 games for the Brewers, and if he gets on base to manufacture some runs, it's added cushion with the lead.

Play Milwaukee here.

Your Sunday freebie is the Under in the Yankees-Red Sox finale.

After a wild 15-7 opener on Thursday, things have settled down scoring-wise between the teams this long weekend, as both Friday and Saturday's meetings held Under the posted price.

The Yankees can't seem to find any offense with just a pair of runs tallied the past 2 days, so look for the Under to be the way to go tonight when David Price matches pitches with Masahiro Tanaka.

Price owns a scant 1.71 ERA for his last 3 starts, and the Under has connected in 2 of those 3.

Tanaka's ERA over his last 3 is even lower. at 0.84, and 2 of his last 3 starts have also held Under the total.

With the Yankees bats having gone silent this weekend, have to expect Price to limit the scoring, as New York and Boston play to their third straight Under on ESPN.

Yankees-Red Sox Under the total.

3* N.Y. YANKEES-BOSTON UNDER
