It's been a while since there has been playoff hockey in Winnipeg, and plenty of the Jets have little or no playoff experience. That being the case, I will look for some nerves this Wednesday, and also look for a lower-scoring tight game between the host Jets and the visiting Wild.
Minnesota finished the regular season by holding Under the total in 6 of their final 9 regular season contests, while Winnipeg played Unders in their last pair of games - both on home ice - and the Jets have played 4 of their last 6 overall at home Under the posted total.
In the season series, 2 of the last 3 meetings did hold Under the total, and with this being playoff hockey, the goals tend to become tougher to pot.
Play Minny and Winny Under in Game One this Wednesday night.

The Philadelphia Phillies haven't shown a lot of consistency at the plate thus far this season, but last night they did right by us with a 6-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.,
Tonight I like the Phils again, versus Cincinnati and its struggling pitching staff.
The Reds' staff that ranks dead last with a 6.04 ERA. Cincinnati starters have a 5.44 ERA, fourth-worst in the league, while its bullpen checks in with a league-worst 6.95 ERA. Talk about consistency - Cincinnati is equally bad on the mound, whether it is with its starters or relievers.
Now that staff will have to contend with a Phillies lineup that has performed better at Citizens Bank Park, where they're hitting .276 - the fifth-best home batting average in the league. And while some teams have played six and seven games at home already, the Phils have played just five, yet still rank second with 40 runs plated at home.
Philadelphia also ranks seventh overall in the bigs, with 54 runs scored.
Take the Phillies, as they run it again.

I'm recommending a play on the Phillies as a short home favorite against the Reds in Wednesday's series finale. Philadelphia has won the first two of the series and are now 4-1 at home on the season. Cincinnati is just 2-8 thru their first 10 games and I just feel this is too good a price to pass up on the Phillies.
The Reds are getting some respect here because they are sending out Luis Castillo, who had an impressive rookie campaign and big things are expected of him in 2018. However, he's not pitched well in either of his first 2 starts. He's allowed 10 runs on 12 hits and 4 walks in 10 innings of work.
With the way Philadelphia is swinging the bats right now, I think you have to roll the dice with the home team. Phillies will be giving the ball to Nick Pivetta, who really threw the ball well at home in his last start, allowing just 4 hits with 9 strikeouts in 5 2/3 shutout innings. Take Philadelphia!

I'll take my chances here with Milwaukee as a huge road dog against the Cardinals. These two teams have split the first two games of the series. Milwaukee won 5-4 on Monday and St Louis rallied late for a 5-3 win in extra innings last night. I just don't see how the Cardinals should be this big of a favorite given how close these two teams are. St Louis will send out veteran Adam Wainwright, who had to really grind in his last start, throwing 92 pitches in 3 2/3 innings. The Brewers are calling up Junior Guerra from Triple-A and he's been throwing it well this spring and let's not forget he was Milwaukee's Opening Day starter a year ago. I think there's an excellent chance the Brewers win this one, making this an easy play at this price. Give me Milwaukee +149!

The Red Sox roughed up Luis Severino yesterday, tagging him for five runs on eight hits and three walks in just five innings in a 14-1 blowout win. The Boston bats are hot, and I expect another slugfest at Fenway tonight.
David Price will toe the slab for Boston, and the Yankees have owned Price over the years. His 5.68 ERA in 12 starts against New York over the last three seasons is higher than against any other team. The Yankees lineup is batting .320 over 247 combined at bats versus Price.
New York will hand the ball to Masahiro Tanaka, who has looked sharp in two starts so far. Tanaka was 4-7 with a 6.48 ERA in 15 starts on the road last season.
