Your Saturday freebie is the San Antonio Spurs as the road dog at Golden State.

Unusual early afternoon start time for this Western Conference opening round contest, as the Spurs and Dubs will jump ball at noon local time today.

Golden State had dominated San Antonio to a tune of 8 straight wins - including last year's playoff meeting in May - but with Steph Curry sitting this series out, and the Warriors not looking nearly as invincible as they have been the past few seasons, look for San Antonio to have a little confidence when they hit the court today at Oracle Arena.

Keep in mind the Spurs did capture the last regular season meeting on March 19th, winning it 89-75 on their home court.

Golden State only covered 3 times in their final 10 games of the regular season, and while they should have enough under the hood to get past San Antonio in this opening round, I do not think it is going to be a cake-walk.

Take the Spurs plus the points.

2* SAN ANTONIO

Saturday night's comp play will be to play the Sharks and the Ducks to do what they did in Game One on Thursday night, and that is hold Under the total.

Not too many secrets between these Pacific Division rivals, as Thursday saw a 3-0 win by the Sharks in a game that easily held Under the total to make it 5-1 Under the total the past 6 times these rivals have skated.

Overall, the Under stands at 6-1-3 between the teams when they skate on Anaheim ice!

The host Ducks are also now 7-3 Under the total in their last 10 games overall, and Jones and Gibson are pretty darn good at protecting their nets.

Look for another tight, low-scoring game between the Sharks and Ducks.

It was an Under in Game One, it will be an Under in Game Two too.

3* SAN JOSE-ANAHEIM UNDER

Twins-165

These 2 teams got postponed on Friday night so hopefully they can get the game in on Saturday afternoon. Minnesota gets better production when Brian Dozier demands primary focus from pitching - it opens up the opportunity for other players to get more involved. Which is going to be yet another issue. Brian Dozier always finds a way to get his bases and get his hits - and the players of Chicago can't keep that down. Chicago's Yoan Moncada has shown a propensity for missing the ball - when he is at the plate. With 18 strike outs, and only hitting just .220 during the 4.11 period - a change is something to consider. Moncada and Matt Davidson are both struggling and Minnesota just has much better guys playing right now. Chicago has been playing just awful since 4.5.18 - the wrap up is now. Twins are 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. Minnesota wins

OVER 212

Philadelphia is far and away the hottest team entering the postseason with a 16-game winning streak (11-5 ATS). In particular, their offense has been scintillating, averaging 121 PPG over their last five outings. Basketball bettors are thinking that continues and bumped the total from 210 to 212. The Miami defense finished third in points allowed, but I agree that the Sixers are on fire right now and will back the OVER.

A's vs. Mariners

My 1* Free Play is on the Seattle Mariners (9:10 EST).

This one features Kendall Graveman of the A’s vs. Marco Gonzalez of the Mariners.

Graveman (0-2, 9.45 ERA) has been a disaster so far this season, most recently getting shelled for five earned runs over 3.1 innings. Graveman has to this point conceded 20 hits and 14 earned runs over 13.1 innings of work (including five dingers.)

Gonzalez (1-1, 7.27), hasn’t been much better to open the season. Most recently he allowed four runs off eight hits while striking out four in a loss to KC on Monday.

I’ll point out though that the A’s are just 8-22 in Graveman’s last 30 road starts, while the M’s are 11-4 in their last 15 against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.

As bad as he’s looked to open early, I still give Gonzalez the slight nod in this matchup, as Graveman is a complete train-wreck right now. The Mariners also get the nod at the plate and with those two crucial factors working in its favor, I do indeed feel that that home side is worthy of a second look in this particular matchup.

Good luck…Larry

Is there any doubt how important Stephen Curry is to the Warriors just take a look at Golden State's record when he is sidelined. They are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games including 0-5 ATS in their last five at home including 1-4 straight-up. San Antonio hasn't been the same club that we have seen in recent years and are 0-7 ATS in their last seven road games as well as 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. After the way the Warriors laid down the final weeks I see them putting it together today. Take GOLDEN STATE!

Wizards vs. Raptors

The NBA Comp Play play is on Toronto at 5:35 eastern.

The Raptors are the 1 seed and have plenty of playoff experience. This should be the year they get to the finals. They start things off at home where they are 34-7 and average 112 points per game. The Wizards are 1-7 ats in games they lose as a road dog and have failed to cover 4 o 5 on the road vs winning home teams. The Wiz have struggled on the rad of late going 1-7 ats. The winning team has covered 9 straight in the series. For our system round 1 game 1 teams off a loss are 11-2 ats vs an opponent off a favored loss. Look for Toronto to take game one. On Saturday its Hoops, Hockey and Hard ball as we have a Pair of Perfect system NBA Playoff Game 1 Power systems, a Game 2 NHL Historical Banger system and top Play MLB Blowout and more. For our NBA Free pick. Play on Toronto. RV- GC Sports

Pacers vs. Cavs
Free Pick on Pacers/Cavs UNDER

I'm recommending a play on the UNDER in Sunday's NBA action that has the Cavs hosting the Pacers in Game 1. Cleveland can light it up offensively and haven't exactly been a great defensive team, but the playoffs are a whole different beast. One thing the Cavs definitely did with all those trades is get some more length and athleticism. I believe we are going to see a completely different team defensively in the postseason.

It's also worth pointing out that these two teams didn't exactly light up the scoreboard when they faced off in the regular season. Two of them didn't even reach 210 points. Indiana is also a better defensive team than they get credit for and while it won't be easy slowing down this Cavs offensive attack, I believe they more than enough here to keep this below the mark set by the books.

UNDER is 16-5 in the Pacers last 21 games in the 2nd half of the season when playing against a team with a winning record. UNDER is also 5-1 in the Cavs last 6 home games and 4-0 in their last 4 when playing with 3 or more days of rest. Take the UNDER!

Maple Leafs vs. Bruins
Toronto vs. Boston Over 6 +108

The Maple Leafs and Bruins here should play to an entertaining one, giving value to the Over in this spot.

Both teams averaged well into the 3's in terms of goals averaged per game this season, as they both like to attack the net.

Its the pace of play that will really give this Over value. Expect both sides to crash the net and really look to get multiple chances per possession.

Some trends to note. Over is 10-4-2 in Bruins last 16 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Over is 8-1 in Maple Leafs last 9 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game.

Expect back and forth action here.

Back the Over.

Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Phillies vs. Rays

DMack's Free Play for Saturday, April 14, 2018 is on Philly/Tampa Bay Over

Jake Arrieta signed late in the game and is probably not as sharp as he would have been with a full spring training under his belt. In his Phillies debut, he allowed three runs in four innings while throwing 74 pitches. Chris Archer is the best the Rays have but he hasn't been getting people out and rocks a 6.48 ERA into his fourth start of the season. Tampa Bay will go with him as long as they can regardless of the score. Play the Over.

Devils vs. Lightning
Devils+1½ -133

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Game #57 Saturday Free Pick New Jersey Devils Puck Line +1.5 goals -130 @ Tampa Bay Lightning @ 3 ET - The Devils dug an early hole against the Bolts in Game 1. However, after falling behind 3-0 they did a good job battling it back to get it to 3-2. Even though they ultimately lost 5-2 that was the result of some late goals. I feel we're getting excellent line value here with only having to lay a small price to get New Jersey at +1.5 goals in this one. They are highly likely to play a much better game than they did in Game 1 as they carry momentum from the way they played after that early deficit. Keep in mind, goalie Keith Kincaid actually had wrapped up the season going 7-0-1 in his last 8 starts. He'll be better tonight. Last night there were 3 games and the teams that were down 1-0 in the series all battled very hard. The Wild lost by 3 goals but that game was very close well into the 3rd period. Also, the underdog Flyers did respond and get a huge road win and the Kings lost in double OT so of course that was a one goal loss. You'll see another very hungry dog here and if the Devils do fall short I fully expect it will be by just a goal so I am grabbing the value with this puck line. Free Pick NEW JERSEY DEVILS +1.5 goals -130

Angels vs. Royals
Angels-162

Saturday MLB free. My selection is on Los Angeles over Kansas City at 7:15 pm et on Saturday.

The Angels are rolling along nicely right now and there's no reason to go the other way on Saturday night in Kansas City.

Yes, Royals starter Jakob Junis has pitched well so far this season, not allowing a single earned run in two starts, spanning 14 innings of work. However, one of those performances was weather-aided in Detroit and the other came at home against the Mariners. He'll face a much tougher challenge against the hot-hitting Angels on Saturday night.

Garrett Richards has struggled with his command in the early going this season but has still managed to go undefeated through three starts thanks to giving up only 12 hits in 15 innings of work, while striking out 19. Kansas City continues to struggle to put runs on the board so Richards does catch a break in this matchup.

The price says it all in this one as the Angels are listed as considerable favorites for a reason. I believe the price could be even higher. Take Los Angeles (10*).

Playing the Houston Astros on the Run Line for my free play today, as they'll get the best of the Texas Rangers.

Though pitchers are automatically listed when making Run Line wagers, I am insisting you DO NOT worry about who the scheduled starters are. In the event of a scratch, you MUST re-wager the game with the new pitcher(s) who are scheduled. This play will stand no matter who pitches for either team.

I know the Astros have endured a rough patch offensively of late, but they're going to be on track for this game, in an important American League West clash, and after winning a close one last night, 3-2.

Houston still boasts the seventh-best batting average in the league, hitting .253 this season. The team has scored 61 runs, ties for tenth in the bigs.

On the other hand, the Rangers have scored merely 15 runs in five road games - fourth least in baseball. They have just nine extra basehits on the highway - third least in the bigs.

I think the due theory is in play here, and the Astros will tee off on whomever the Rangers throw tonight.

Look for a great effort at the plate, and lay the Run Line.

The Last Call

Saturday's Free Play: Detroit Tigers + 128

The Mets hadn't played at home since April 4, but came home to Queens riding an eight-game win streak. They won again last night.

At 11-1, the Mets are off and running, making a statement with their well-rounded lineup and rotation. Tonight they'll win it again.

Milwaukee's pitching staff ranks 17th with a 3.95 ERA. Even worse, the Brewers starters have a 5.01 ERA, and the bullpen has struggled in locking up saves.

On the flipside, the Mets have the No. 2 staff in baseball. Their ERA is 2.59, while they've allowed the second-least number of hits (86) this season.

I'll play New York tonight, as it gets the win. Don't bother listing anyone, just play the Mets straight.

1* METS

The Seattle Mariners got me the money last night with a win over the Oakland Athletics. Tonight I like the M's as my free play, as they're getting healthy and streaking a bit at the moment.

I won't bother listing pitchers, but I will make note I don't mind going to battle with the Mariners against Oakland starter Kendall Graveman, who is 0-2 with a 9.45 ERA. Whomever the A's put on the mound is going to be in trouble, but Graveman could get shelled. He is in after lasting just 3 1/3 innings in his last start, a 6-1 loss to the Angels.

Plus, Graveman is 1-3 with a 4.81 ERA in 10 career appearances against Seattle, including eight starts.

Seattle is hitting .258 - sixth best in the bigs - and an even better .271 at home, which is fifth best in the league.

Take the hard-charging Mariners tonight as they win again.

10* FREE MLB PICK (Brewers +109)

I'll take my chances here with Milwaukee. New York escaped with a 6-5 win in the series opener Friday and have now won 9 straight to improve their record to 11-1 on the season. You would think the Mets would be way overvalued right now, but instead the books are begging for you to take them as a short home favorite. I'm not taking the bait. I think Milwaukee has the edge on the mound here with Chase Anderson going up against Matt Harvey. Anderson is just a few mistakes away from a really good start to the season. He's allowed 6 runs on 13 hits in 3 starts, with 4 of those runs and hits coming via home runs. He's one of the more underrated starters in the game. Harvey is a big name and hasn't been terrible in his 2 starts in 2018, but he's looked far from an ace and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he struggled here. Give me the Brewers +109!
