Your Sunday freebie is the Houston Rockets to roll the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Minnesota is back in the playoffs for the first time since way back in 2004, and by all accounts this looks to be a pretty quick exit if you ask me.

The Timberwolves needed overtime on Wednesday against Denver in their regular season finale to punch their ticket, and I have a feeling that exhausting contest, and the emotion that the team got swept up in after clinching the 8th seed is going to leave them a little flat against the # 1 seed in the Western Conference.

A look at the regular season numbers when these teams play one another is all you really need to look at when deciding on a side tonight. Houston took all 4 meetings this season both straight up and against the spread, and they are on an overall 9-1 straight up run the last 10 times these teams have faced one another, including 6 straight series victories.

Houston has taken a lot of heat in postseasons past for their failures, you can be sure that tonight they will come out like a fine-tuned machine and put Minnesota in their rear-view mirror ASAP.

Lay the lumber with the Rockets in a blowout here for Sunday.

5* HOUSTON

Sunday comp play on the Under in Game Three of the Jets-Wild series.

Both games played in Winnipeg have made charges at the total, but both did end up holding Under the price, and I think this one holds Under as well.

The Jets have now played each of their last 4 dating back to the regular season Under the total, and 5 of their last 7 have also held Low.

The Wild is on a 5-2 Under run as well, and 7 of their last 10 overall since the regular campaign have also landed Low.

Connor Hellebuyck has only allowed 3 goals through the Jets first pair of victories, and Devan Dubnyk has mostly stood tall in the pipes for the Wild, save for a few defensive Minny breakdowns. The Wild tighten it up on defense at home, and this one holds Under the total on Sunday night.

3* WINNIPEG-MINNESOTA UNDER

Free Pick on Pacers/Cavs UNDER

I'm recommending a play on the UNDER in Sunday's NBA action that has the Cavs hosting the Pacers in Game 1. Cleveland can light it up offensively and haven't exactly been a great defensive team, but the playoffs are a whole different beast. One thing the Cavs definitely did with all those trades is get some more length and athleticism. I believe we are going to see a completely different team defensively in the postseason.

It's also worth pointing out that these two teams didn't exactly light up the scoreboard when they faced off in the regular season. Two of them didn't even reach 210 points. Indiana is also a better defensive team than they get credit for and while it won't be easy slowing down this Cavs offensive attack, I believe they more than enough here to keep this below the mark set by the books.

UNDER is 16-5 in the Pacers last 21 games in the 2nd half of the season when playing against a team with a winning record. UNDER is also 5-1 in the Cavs last 6 home games and 4-0 in their last 4 when playing with 3 or more days of rest. Take the UNDER!

My 1* Free Play is on the Seattle Mariners (4:10 EST).

I had a free play on the Mariners yesterday as well and they’d go on to secure the high-scoring 10-8 victory over the A’s as a very slight home fav. The M’s are an underdog tonight at home and once again I believe they offer great value.

The visitors hand the ball to Sean Manaea (1-2, 1.74 ERA), who gave up two runs off seven hits over five innings in a 4-0 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Manaea has so far lived up to the expectations this season with three straight solid starts. However, regression does seem imminent for the southpaw, who was just 6-7 with a 4.50 ERA on the road last season.

The home side counters with Felix Hernandez (2-1, 6.60), who gave up three earned runs off six hits while walking one and striking out three over 5.2 innings in a victory over the Royals on Tuesday.

I’ll point out that Oakland is a poor 4-5 (-1.2 units) against right-handed starters this year (also just 1-4, -3.5 units in all “day” games), while Seattle is a perfect 3-0 (+3.1 units) this season against lefties (also 4-3, +1.6 units in all “day” games.)

I think Hernandez can match Manaea inning for inning and in a scenario like that, I’m leaning towards the hard-hitting home side. Consider the Mariners in this one.

Good luck…Larry

The NHL Comp Play is on Washington at 7:40 eastern.

The Caps will look to even the series at home after blowing a 2 goal lead and losing in Overtime in game 1. Game 2 round 1 home teams are 67-33 all time off a loss. The Caps have won 4 of 5 at home vs the Blue Jackets and Columbus is 4-12 in Round 1 games. The Caps are a battled tested team and should bounce back tonight. On Sunday a powerful 3 Game NBA Playoff card that has a 20-1 Total and the Western Conference Game of the Month. In MLB action the lead play is a 16-2 totals system. . For the NHL Free Play. DMack's Free MLB Play for Sunday, April 15, 2018 is on the NY Mets runline.

Even off their loss on Saturday, the Mets are still 11-2 through 13 games. Syndergaard (2-0, 4.50) has been good and the Mets have won his first three starts. Thor has 22 strikeouts and figures to get double-digits here. Chacin has been awful for the Brew Crew and rocking an 8.56 ERA in three starts and the 7 of the Mets first 11 wins runs were by runline. Here, we mitigate damage if their is some and betters our profits.

10* FREE MLB PICK (Angels -1.5, -130)

I'll take my chances here with the Angels winning by at least 2 runs in Sunday's matchup at Kansas City. LA will send out their free agent sensation in Shohei Ohtani as a starter in this one. Ohtani has been great both on the mound and at the plate. Today it's all about his arm and he's 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 0.462 WHIP in 2 starts. Last time out he took a no hitter into the 7th inning. Now he faces the worst offense in the American League in the Royals in great pitching conditions. KC will send out Eric Skoglund and I just don't see good things happening for Skoglund. His first start saw him allow 5 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in just 4 2/3 innings. He's just not very good and this Angels offense has been as good as any to start the season. Give me Los Angeles -1.5 (-130)!

New York is winning methodically, and with superior pitching.

The Mets have the No. 2 staff in baseball. Their ERA is 2.78, while they've allowed the second-least number of hits (95) this season.

In contrast, Milwaukee's pitching staff ranks 14th with a 3.76 ERA. Even worse, the Brewers starters have a 4.72 ERA, and the bullpen has struggled in locking up saves.

I'll play New York, as it gets the revenge win.

IMPORTANT: As you know every single Run Line play and Total wager will automatically list the scheduled starting pitchers at the time of the wager. But with this game I am not concerned with who is pitching for either team tonight and want you playing this game on the Run Line regardless. That said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if one of the pitchers scheduled to start is scratched, by betting the game over again in the event that takes place.

I like the Boston Red Sox to get it done against American League East rival Baltimore, as the Orioles won't be able to match things on offense in this series finale. Because of the price, we're playing this on the Run Line.

Boston is streaking again, having won three in a row, and brings the league's second-best batting average into this game. The Crimson Hose are hitting .273 on the year, and that number gets to .299 at Fenway Park, where the Sox have plated a league-leading 65 runs.

The Red Sox have sprayed the field consistently over the first few weeks of the season, with a league-best 58 extra basehits. And since Boston has 137 basehits, we're talking about more than 42 percent being doubles, triples and home runs. That's an impressive ratio.

Since Baltimore has the fifth-highest ERA (4.86) in the league, you can see why the run line shouldn't be a problem. On the road, the O's have an ERA of 5.42 - even worse.

Take the Sox in a rout.
