CAJUN-SPORTS
Cincinnati Reds vs. Minnesota Twins (MLB) - Apr 28, 2018 2:10 PM EDT
Play: Money Line: -140 Minnesota Twins Pick Title: Cajun-Sports MLB 3* Complimentary Selection
Cajun-Sports.com continue to dominate the diamond with a documented record of 20-9 SU in MLB this season at the Sports Watch Monitor. Cajun-Sports has taken the first half season title the last four seasons make sure you join them for their MLB Trading Bases Report each day. The Cincinnati Reds are in Minnesota for a three-game weekend set against the Twins. These are two terrible teams but someone has to win these three games between them. Even with horrible teams there are situations that present themselves where we can make a profit and Saturday’s matchup happens to be one of those situations. We know the Reds are 21-51 when playing away from the Queen City. The Reds poor performance away from home holds true in interleague play also they are 11-42 on the interleague road. The Twins are 11-1 their last twelve interleague games overall including a perfect 8-0 when facing interleague foes at home. The Twins are 22-10 at home since the 2017 including 4-2 this season. We want to play ON MLB AL Home Favorites taking on a National League opponent both teams with win percentages of 50 and lower during the regular season. This system has a record of 198-124 SU (61.5%) for a profit of +1449 units. Our TPR Index has a projected run advantage of 1.3 runs in favor of the Twins in Game Two of their series with the Reds. With the Twins at home and several key factors in their favor we will lay the chalk with them on Saturday afternoon.

JACK JONES

Jack’s Free Pick Saturday: Baltimore Orioles -129

The Baltimore Orioles ended their losing streak with a 6-0 home victory over the Detroit Tigers yesterday. I look for the Orioles to take Game 2 as well at a reasonable price here Saturday.

Andrew Cashner has proven to be a nice addition to the rotation this season. He has posted a 3.60 ERA and 28 K’s over 30 innings in his five starts this year. Cashner is 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 0.867 WHIP in two career starts against Detroit.

Francisco Liriano is getting too much respect from the books tonight. He is way past his prime and it’s been a long time since he had a successful season. Liriano is 3-5 with a 4.10 ERA and 1.500 WHIP in 11 career starts against Baltimore, and his teams are 3-8 in those 11 games.

The Tigers are 23-55 in their last 78 games overall, including 10-26 in their last 36 road games. The Orioles are 87-42 in their last 129 home games vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the Orioles Saturday.

Edges - Giants: Cueto 12-3 April team starts, including 6-1 at home… Dodgers: 2-8 April away team starts… With Cueto owning a 0.35 ERA and a 0.65 WHIP this season, we recommend a 1* play on San Francisco. Thank you and good luck as always.

Braves+122

Saturday MLB Free play. My selection is on Atlanta over Philadelphia at 6:05 pm et on Saturday.

The Phillies got the better of the Braves on Friday night, but I expect to see Atlanta bounce back on Saturday evening in Philadelphia.

The Braves will hand the ball to Mike Foltynewicz. He was roughed up in his last start in Cincinnati but had been pitching well prior to that and I see this as a fine get right matchup against the Phils, a team he has already faced twice this season. The right-hander has posted a 2.77 ERA in 26 innings of work.

Nick Pivetta will counter for the Phillies. After posting an ERA north of six last season, he's bounced back with an outstanding month of April, going 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in five starts. The Phillies have won in each of Pivetta's last nine trips to the hill going back to last season. I simply feel he's stretching into the realm of being overvalued here.

Atlanta has been a tough out this season and I don't believe there's much separating these two clubs at this point.

Pelicans vs. Warriors
1 Unit FREE PLAY on New Orleans Pelicans +9

Stephen Curry may return tonight, but he’s unlikely to play big minutes. This line has been adjusted too much for his return as the Warriors are 9-point favorites. But the most impressive first round performance was by the Pelicans as they swept the Blazers. They held the Blazers to 102 or fewer points in three of the four games and have really picked it up on that end of the floor, which was their weakness. This team can certainly score with the Warriors as they have topped 100 points in 11 of their last 12 games, including scoring 111 or more points in eight of their last nine. New Orleans is 9-0 ATS in its last nine games overall. Golden State is 3-12 ATS in its last 15 games following a win. Give me the Pelicans in Game 1.

Joe Thornton has been activated from the injured reserve, but after missing so much time, if he plays can he possibly be effective?

Evander Kane delivered a cross-check on Thursday and was given a game misconduct late in the 3rd period of the 7-0 whitewashing the Sharks absorbed. He will be sitting this one out with a one-game suspension.

Meanwhile, things continue to be golden for the team with the name the Golden Knights, as Vegas picked right up where they left off after their opening round sweep of the Kings, as they made it 5 straight playoff wins with the 7-0 shell-job they laid down on San Jose!

In case you haven't noticed, Vegas is ON FIRE! More specifically, Marc-Andre Fleury who has now worked back-to-back shutouts, and has 3 total in the 5 games with ONLY 3 goals total allowed. That qualifies as on-fire my friends.

Nothing much to think about, as the play here on Saturday is Vegas on the Puck Line. You simply must ride that hot-hand until someone is able to put a few pucks past Fleury. No one has done it yet.

Stick with the Knights on the Puck Line this Saturday night in Sin City.

3* VEGAS -1 1/2 GOALS

Rockies vs. Marlins
Marlins+125

I'm recommending a play on Miami as a home dog against the Rockies on Saturday. The Marlins are starting to get healthy and while they lost the opener Friday to Colorado, it was a highly contested game. I like the value here with Miami in this one, as they are starting to hit the ball and will be facing Rockies struggling starter German Marquez, who has a 6.14 ERA and 1.591 WHIP in 5 starts. Last time out Marquez was roughed up by the Cubs, as he allowed 6 runs on 8 hits in just 3 1/3 innings of work.

Marlins will send out Caleb Smith, who will be looking for his first win of 2018. Smith is 0-3 with a 5.82 ERA and 1.524 WHIP in 5 starts. The key here is how much better Smith has thrown the ball at home compared to the road. Smith has a solid 3.48 ERA at Marlins Park compared to a 7.94 ERA away from home.

Adding to this is a strong system. Home dogs of +125 or more who are a strong fielding team (average 0.5 or less errors/game) and off a game where they got shutout are 32-19 (63%) on the money line since 1997. Take Miami!

Diamondbacks vs. Nationals

1* on Washington Nationals +115

The Key: I like the price we are getting with the Washington Nationals as home underdogs to the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon. The Nationals aren’t getting much respect from the books due to their 11-15 star to the season. But it won’t last. Jeremy Hellickson has pitched well in his 2 starts this season, both of which have come on the road at the Dodgers and Mets. Now he’ll be starting his first home game for the Nationals today. Patrick Corbin has dominated at home this year for the Diamondbacks, but he sports a 5.07 ERA on the road. Corbin is 1-1 with a 5.31 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 4 lifetime starts vs. Washington. Washington is 20-4 when revenging a one-run loss over the last 2 seasons. Hellickson is 8-2 when the total is 7 to 8.5 over the last 2 years. Take Washington.

Tigers vs. Orioles
Orioles-132

We are recommending a solid play here on the Baltimore Orioles with Andrew Cashner on the mound. Neither of these teams are any good this year, but it is amazing how badly the Tigers have slipped in recent years and they no longer have the power to take advantage of a hitter-friendly ballpark like Baltimore.

For the Tigers, Francisco Liriano is off to a decent start this year but has not been the same kind of pitcher he was at his peak. And even when Liriano was good, he always struggled badly in Baltimore with its Homerun-friendly confines.

In 11 career starts against the Orioles, Liriano's team has posted a 3-8 record which is part of why we were so surprised when we saw the lines had Baltimore as a relatively modest favorite. So we have the better team and the better pitcher at home laying somewhere between 125 and 135. This is a solid move.

Take the Baltimore Orioles today.

BRANDON LEE
MLB | Apr 28, 2018
Mariners vs. Indians
10* FREE MLB PICK (Under 8)

I'll take my chances with Saturday's AL action between the Mariners and Indians finishing UNDER the mark set here by the books. I think we are seeing a total a full run higher than it should be due to the recent struggles of Seattle starter Mike Leake. Last time out Leake gave up 8 runs on 12 hits in 3 3 1/3 innings at Chicago (White Sox). He's still allowed 3 or fewer runs in 3 of his 5 starts this season and the Indians offense hasn't exactly been lighting it up. At the same time, I don't expect a lot of offense from the Mariners, who will be up against Carlos Carrasco, who is 4-0 with a 2.31 ERA and 0.857 WHIP in 5 outings. It's also worth noting that mother nature should help keep this low-scoring. Temps for the game are expected to be in the low 40's with the wind blowing straight in from left field at close to 15 mph. Give me the UNDER 8!

ERIC SCHROEDER

I wish I could get more into detail for this game, but without a line it is tough to discuss an angle I'm working with. But I do like Trevor Oaks in this game, as Kansas City's young right-hander is set to make his Major League-debut in Game 1 of today's doubleheader at Kauffman Stadium.

Acquired from the Dodgers in January, Oaks had thrown three straight quality starts for Triple-A Omaha and becomes the 26th man for the twin bill. He was 1-2 with a 3.09 ERA across four starts, and registered 11 strikeouts and six walks over 23 1/3 innings.

This kid has been ready for the bigs for a couple of years now, as he's fully recovered from Tommy John surgery in 2012 (while he was in high school), and has lived off a fastball that hits 96 miles per hour. He can deliver a sinker and has a good feel for his change-up.

This is a kid who can pounds the bottom of the strike zone, and can induce outs on the ground by letting his natural progression through the game build momentum on the hill.

My free play is the Royals with Oaks.

5* ROYALS (List Oaks)
