I really like the way this one sets up for the Angels on Sunday evening in Anaheim.
Tyler Skaggs will take the ball for the Halos, fresh off a big win in Houston last week. Skaggs bounced back nicely after getting crushed by the Red Sox at home two starts back. He's pitched well in four of five starts this season and I expect him to keep it rolling against the Yankees on Sunday.
CC Sabathia will counter for New York. He missed a start due to injury but has since returned to the rotation and pitched extremely well, not allowing a single earned run over his last two trips to the hill, spanning 10 1/3 innings of work. Keep in mind, both of those starts came at home. In his lone road start this season the Yankees came up short against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
Solid value with the home club in this matchup. There's not a lot separating these two teams but I like the edge the Angels have on the mound on Sunday.

The Minnesota Twins snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.
I think they'll ride the momentum to another triumph Sunday afternoon with Jose Berrios (2-2, 2.84 ERA) on the mound. Berrios had been off to a phenomenal start with three scoreless outings in four starts before the Yankees tagged him for five runs Tuesday. This should be a good spot for the 23 year old right-hander to bounce back as he faces the Reds for the first time.
Cincinnati counters with Tyler Mahle (1-3, 5.00 ERA) who gave up three runs (two homers) through six innings his last time out. Mahle has served up seven homers in 27 frames on the season so the Twins can easily pull away with just a couple of well timed big hits.
Twins are 10-1 in Berrios' last 11 home starts. Reds are 1-4 in Mahle's last five road starts.

I'm recommending a play on the Diamondbacks as a decently priced road dog agains the Nationals on Sunday. Arizona continued their impressive start to the season with a thrilling 4-3 extra innings win over Washington on Saturday. That's back-to-back crushing losses for the Nationals, as the Diamondbacks also rallied for a 5-4 win in Friday's series opener. Arizona has now won 6 of their last 7, while the Nationals have lost 6 of their last 7.
Needless to say the Diamondbacks are playing with all kind of confidence and momentum right now and I think it's worth a shot here to back them at + money. Arizona will be sending out Robbie Ray, who despite a 5.13 ERA in 5 starts this season, is trending in the right direction. Ray has allowed 3 or fewer runs in each of his last 3 starts and has an impressive 26 strikeouts in his last 15 1/3 innings of work.
Washington will send out Gio Gonzalez, who has struggled to pitch deep in games early on an owns a 4.11 ERA and 1.631 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Control has really been a problem for Gonzalez, as he's walked 8 over his last 15 1/3 innings. It's also worth noting that the Diamondbacks are averaging 5.4 runs/game in 11 games against left-handed starters and have gone 10-1 as a team in these contests. Take Arizona!

The Pale Hose are 5-1 already against the Royals this year and figure to do enough against Kennedy to come away with a win here.
