My free winner for Saturday night is on the New York Mets over the Chicago Cubs, and I want you listing the scheduled starters: Jacob deGrom and Mike Montgomery.
It may or may not be a good thing the Cubs hoped Yu Darvish would be able to come off the disabled list in time for this start, but is still sidelined by right triceps inflammation. Darvish has been less than spectacular, and with him still nursing his injury, Montgomery will make his second start after tossing 5 2/3 scoreless on Monday. He'll struggle in Queens.
Look for deGrom to continue to pitch well, as the price is very cheap considering what's he done of late. On one of the best streaks of his career, the right-hander has allowed two runs in his past 40.1 innings. He is only 2-0 over those 7 starts, but that's because his bullpen has blown leads in each of his previous two games.
deGrom dominates the Cubs and gets the win today.

Yesterday my free play was on the Los Angeles Dodgers, and I listed just one pitcher. Tonight I'm back on the Dodgers and I want you listing both scheduled starters: Walker Buehler and German Marquez.
Buehler is suddenly a legitimate threat for Rookie of the Year thanks to his velocity, command and consistency. The right-hander exhibited his strength in seven innings against these same Rockies two weeks ago in Los Angeles, where he allowed only a solo homer to Gerardo Parra with six strikeouts. I like him to dominate tonight to lead the Dodgers.
The offense should supply plenty of support against Marquez, who is 4-5 this season with a 4.21 ERA. Now, the last time he faced the Dodgers he pitched seven innings and only gave up two hits. He is on a two-game winning streak after pitching seven innings in the Rockies’ 8-2 win against the Reds, but the Dodgers are hitting the ball well right now.
Take Los Angeles and list both.

Look for a shootout in Baltimore, as the New York Yankees and Orioles will sail over the posted total and into double digits.
Since every MLB wager on a run line or total auto-lists pitchers, I want you to be sure the two pitchers on your ticket, when making this play, are Masahiro Tanaka and Kevin Gausman. If they are not the pitchers of record when making your play, disregard this play.
I know that Tanaka has won back-to-back starts, and he's coming off an outing against the Angels in which he allowed a run on three hits over six innings, but he also lost to the Orioles on April 5.
Baltimore has the fourth-worst ERA in the bigs, and I can see the Yankees forcing the Orioles into an early slugfest, which would put Tanaka in danger if he leaves his fastball hanging. The long ball could be his downfall.
Gausman turned in his worst start of the season on Sunday, against the Rays, as he lasted a season-low 2 2/3 innings and allowed a season-high seven runs. Gausman has never shown consistency against the Yankees, and could get chased early.
Play this one high.
