The MLB comp Play is on Minnesota Game 920 at 2:10 eastern.

The Twins blasted Cleveland on Saturday and sets up a big play against for Cleveland here. We are playing against road favorites off a road favored loss by 5+ runs if they scored 2 or less runs on 5+ hits vs an opponent off a home dog win by 5 or more runs with 0 errors. These road favorites are 7-18 since 2004. The Indians are 1-5 on the road off a road loss by 5 or more and the Twins are 3-0 as a home dog off a home win by 5 or more and have taken the last 2. Look for them to take the finale of this series.

ART ARONSON

This is a 1* Free Play on the Golden State Warriors.

We had the “over” in Game 1 as our official (paid) play, and we also gave out the Cavaliers as a free selection. In Game 2 though we expect the Warriors to pull away for the comfortable cover against this now dejected Cavaliers side. We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics. This particular play is based primarily on common sense and strong/relevant ATS stats. LeBron James and company gave it their best shot in Game 1, but it still wasn’t enough, as a combination of bad luck and bad refereeing would be their downfall. The Warriors can now smell the blood in the water and we think they’ll deliver another deadly upper-cut in Game 2. Note that the Cavs are a poor 7-18 ATS already this year after a loss by ten points or more, while Golden State is still 20-16 ATS in its last 36 when leading in a playoff series. Consider the WARRIORS in Game 2.

Reds vs. Padres
Padres-111

Don't look now but we're into June and the Padres are still within striking distance of first place in the NL West. True, they're only 26-34 and in the basement. However, that only finds them 5.5 games out of first place. By this time of the season, San Diego is normally in a similar position to what the Reds find themselves in; Cincinnati currently sits 16 games out of first place in the NL Central, already with no hope of making the playoffs.

A big part of the Padres' ability to remain somewhat competitive has been the pitching of Tyson Ross. The Padres are 8-3 when he takes the mound on the season, 4-1 here at PetCo and 4-0 his last four overall. Castillo, on the other hand, is off a 5-2 loss at Arizona. He gave up all five of those runs (4 earned) in just five innings. That brings him to 2-3 with an ugly 6.49 ERA through seven road starts. Castillo has served up more than twice as many home runs as Ross, despite the fact that Ross has thrown more innings. Lastly, it should also be noted that Ross is 4-0 with a dominant 1.29 ERA (0.964 WHIP) in four starts vs. the Reds. At roughly a pick'em price, take a look at Ross and the Padres.

Play - Chicago Cubs w/Lester vs Matz (Game 901).

Edges - Cubs: Lester 8-3 overall with 2.71 ERA and 1.21 WHIP this season; and 7-1 last eight team starts during June … Mets: 2-6 last eight overall games against Lester; and Matz 5.40 ERA home as opposed to 1.61 ERA away this season… With that we recommend a 1* play on the Cubs. Thank you and good luck as always.

Let's make some money with a value play on the Arizona Diamondbacks against the visiting Miami Marlins, as I deliver the Snakes again.

I told you it was one thing to play in the humidity like the Marlins do, but to play in the Phoenix desert, it's downright blistering, and in the middle of the afternoon I think that will play a role in this game.

I told you yesterday Arizona could come into today ahead of the pack with a win and a Rockies loss. The Diamondbacks are now half-game ahead of Colorado after last night's 6-2 win over the Fish. They're now 17-13 at home after beating Miami by a combined final of 15-3 the last two nights.

The Marlins, meanwhile, are in the N.L. East basement and have lost five in a row and eight of 11. They're also 10-20 on the road this season. And it's hard for them to do anything with a .234 batting average that ranks 24th in the league. Miami ranks dead last as the only team that has not plated 200 runs this season, with just 195.

Look for the Snakes to take advantage of the offensively starved Marlins, and do it in dominant fashion.

Your Sunday freebie is the Under in the Rays-Mariners series finale.

Both games played at Safeco Field this weekend have landed Under the total, as Tampa Bay has now played 6 of their last 8 games overall Under the total, while Seattle is on a 10-2 Under run their last 12 games played.

The pitching matchup for this series finale will be Blake Snell and Felix Hernandez.

Hernandez has been a shell of his former self, as he enters this one at just 5-4 with a lofty 5.83 season ERA, but Snell has been the bomb for the Rays, as he enters this start with a 7-3 ledger, and a 2.56 season ERA. Over his last 3 starts, Snell sports an ERA of just 0.98.

I am going to look for the pitching to shut down the hitting once again, and with both teams struggling to plate runs, how about another Under in the Rays-Mariners series to conclude the weekend in King County.

3* TAMPA BAY-SEATTLE UNDER

Sunday comp play release will be for the pitching to once again bow to the hitting in the Boston-Houston series finale with Rick Porcello and Charlie Morton on the mound.

After a Thursday Under to open the 4-game series, these teams have landed Over the total the past 2 days, and today looks to me like a third straight day in the Over column.

Porcello sports a 4.96 ERA for his last 3 starts, and the Over is 2-0-1 in those 3 outings for the Boston hurler. For the season, the Over stands at 6-4-2 when Porcello takes the hill.

Morton has kept his ERA respectable at 2.84 for his last 3 starts, but 2 of those 3 starts have landed Over the posted price.

Boston is on a 7-1 Over run their last 8 games, while Houston's Over run stands at 7-2-1 their last 10 times on the field.

Runs add up to an Over at Minute Maid Park tonight.

JACK JONES

Jack’s Free Pick Sunday: Tampa Bay Rays -105

The Tampa Bay Rays will be highly motivated to avoid the sweep today after losing the first two games of this series to the Mariners. They should get the job done due to their big advantage on the mound.

Blake Snell has been one of the most underrated starters in baseball this season. The left-hander has gone 7-3 with a 2.56 ERA and 0.995 WHIP in 12 starts for the Rays, including 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA and 0.872 WHIP in his last three. Snell is also 1-1 with a 0.87 ERA in two career starts against Seattle.

Felix Hernandez has continued his downhill slide this season. He is 5-4 with a 5.83 ERA and 1.402 WHIP in 12 starts this year, including 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA and 1.353 WHIP in his last three.

The Rays are 6-0 in their last six during Game 3 of a series. Tampa Bay is 7-2 in its last nine after losing the first two games of a series. The Rays are 7-0 in Snell’s last seven starts vs. AL West opponents. The Mariners are 1-6 in Hernandez’s last seven Sunday starts. Bet the Rays Sunday.

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #901 Sunday Free Pick Chicago Cubs Money Line (-) @ New York Mets @ 1:10 ET

As long-time followers know I shy away from laying big prices in money line sports and this is a moderate price here but should prove well worth it. The Mets are dead last in the majors with a .306 slugging percentage versus left-handed pitching. The next closest team to them is 48 points higher so it is evident that New York is far and away the worst team in the league versus southpaw pitching. As for the Cubs, they have a solid .447 slugging percentage versus lefties and that is good for the #7 spot out of all 30 teams. Also, with yesterday's extra innings win, Chicago has won 6 of its last 7 games. With the loss yesterday, the Mets have now lost 4 straight games versus left-handed starters. Overall, New York has lost 9 of its last 12. The Mets are starting lefty Steven Matz and he is dealing with a strained left index finger and has given up 7 earned runs in 10 and 1/3 innings spanning his last two starts versus the Cubs. Chicago counters with lefty Jon Lester and he has allowed a total of just 4 earned runs in 20 and 2/3 innings spanning his last three starts versus the Mets. New York is a long-term 4-14 as a home dog in a range of +125 to +175 and that includes 0-3 this season. The Cubbies are 9-4 this season versus southpaw starters. Free Pick CHICAGO CUBS

1 Unit FREE PLAY on San Diego Padres -104

The San Diego Padres have a huge edge on the mound today over the Cincinnati Reds and should be bigger favorites because of it. Tyson Ross is 4-3 with a 3.43 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 11 starts this season. Ross has never lost to the Reds, going 4-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in four previous starts against them. Luis Castillo is 4-5 with a 5.49 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 12 starts this season. He is 2-3 with a 6.49 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in seven road starts for the Reds as well. Ross is 7-0 when the money line is -125 to +125 this season. The Reds are 23-48 in their last 71 games overall. The Padres are 6-1 in their last seven home games vs. a right-handed starter. San Diego is 4-0 in Ross’ last four starts. Give me the Padres.

JACK BRAYMAN

My free play for Friday night was on the Detroit Tigers over the Toronto Blue Jays. Last night I played the same matchup and took the Tigers once again.

With the Tigers rolling, it should come as no surprise I'm playing them again, and once again I won't bother listing pitchers.

Detroit is now 19-12 at home and has won four straight while in pursuit of the Cleveland Indians, atop the American League Central. The Tigers are just 2 1/2 games back after gaining a game with last night's 7-4 win.

Toronto continues to struggle, having lost five straight and nine of 12, while sporting a disappointing 13-16 road mark after losing in Detroit the last two nights. Toronto is hitting just .218 with runners in scoring position with two outs. Not good under pressure, and that is always a problem when you're losing, and having to be on the road.

The Tigers have the league's fourth-best home batting average (.275), while their batting average (.259) ranks fifth in the bigs. Detroit also has scored the fourth most runs at home, with 156 runs plated.

Take Detroit today, as it gets the win.

4* TIGERS

Free pick on White Sox/Brewers OVER

I'm recommending a play on the OVER in Sunday's MLB action that has the White Sox hosting the Brewers. It's going to be ideal scoring conditions here. The wind will be blowing straight out to center at 17 mph.

As good as White Sox starter Dylan Covey has been of late, I look for him to struggle here. Milwaukee has been red-hot at the plate, as they come in scoring 6.4 runs/game and are hitting .288 as a team over their last 7 games. Chicago should also be able to score early and often here, as the Brewers will send out Brent Suter, who has a mere 4.88 ERA and 1.316 WHIP in 10 starts. Take the OVER!

DAVE PRICE

1* on Houston Astros -163

The Key: The Houston Astros should cap off a 3-1 series win with a victory over the Boston Red Sox Sunday night. The Red Sox remain without their best player in Mookie Betts and could be fade material until he returns from the disabled list. Charlie Morton is the better starter in this matchup. Morton is 7-0 with a 2.26 ERA in 11 starts this year, including 5-0 with a 1.85 ERA in 7 home starts. He has never lost to the Red Sox, going 2-0 with a 2.46 ERA in 3 lifetime starts against them. Rick Porcello owns a 3.65 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 12 starts this season, and a 3.78 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 6 road starts. Porcello is 1-1 with a 5.56 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 4 lifetime starts vs. Houston. In his last 2 starts against the Astros, Porcello has yielded 9 earned runs and 19 base runners in 9 innings for a 9.00 ERA. Take Houston.

Marlins over Diamondbacks

Okay, here we go the Marlins have lost their last five and will send Dan Straily (2-1, 3.69 ERA) who has had four quality starts in five outings and is 1-0 lifetime against Arizona with 17 strikeouts in 12 innings. Matt Koch (3-3, 4.31) will get the nod for Arizona but he has a 5.19 ERA at home. Take MIAMI!

10* FREE MLB PICK (Phillies -117)

I'll take my chances here with the Phillies as a short road favorite against the Giants on Sunday. Philadelphia has a clear-cut edge on the mound in this one with Jake Arrieta going up against Ty Blach. Arrieta is 5-2 with a 2.16 ERA and 1.148 WHIP in 10 starts and has a 1.08 ERA in his last 3 starts. Black is just 3-5 with a 4.90 ERA and 1.599 WHIP in 12 starts, has a 5.16 ERA and 1.618 WHIP in 6 home starts and a 7.94 ERA and 2.383 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Give me the Phillies -117!
