Wow! What a game on Tuesday night at Oracle! Golden State fresh off their 41-point win on Sunday came out going great guns with a 12-0 start and the crowd full-throated as the Dubs looked to put a fork in the Rockets, but to Houston's credit, the Rockets did not fold...In fact, the Rockets took that body-blow, outscored the Warriors 34-18 in the second quarter to lead 53-46 at the break.

Oh, but the home team sparked by Steph Curry scoring 11 straight points in a blink of an eye was able to put the Rockets once again in their rear-view mirror, as Golden State led by 10-points entering that fateful 4th quarter in which Houston once again got up off the deck and held the Warriors to just 12 points in the final 12 minute frame, as the Rockets took back home court advantage.

One glaring hole I noticed was the absence of Andre Igoudala who did not play with a knee contusion, and is listed as questionable for tonight's critical 5th game. Not only that, but Klay Thompson is now dealing with a strained knee, and he did not look his usual self on Tuesday night. As for Houston, Chris Paul has been nursing a sore foot. I don't think you are going to find too many players dealing at 100% at this time of the season, as the wear and the tear of playing this deep certainly takes its toll on these players, but I am not going to look for any of those injuries to influence my selection tonight on Golden State.

Yes, Houston is on their home court, but I am asking them to prove to me they can step up one more time and take the 3-2 series lead. The Rockets deserve credit for getting out of Oakland tied at 2-2, but if you ask me, it was the Warriors who LOST that game, and I think they will come out tonight with a different level of urgency that will lead them back home with a chance to clinch the series on their home court this Saturday night.

The Dubs are 10-4 against the spread their last 14 games played at the Toyota Center. This one is going to be tight, but my money is on Golden State to step up and deliver like the defending champs they are.

Play is on Golden State.

Thursday comp play is Under in the Astros-Indians game.

After a quick pair of interleague games versus the Giants, Houston heads to Progressive Field to resume another series with a Cleveland team that they just played 3 games against from the 18th through the 20th at Minute Maid Park.

The Astros and Indians played 2 of those 3 Under the total, as Houston's Under run stands at 13-3-1 overall their last 17 games played!

The Indians are on a 4-2 Under run that includes that set in Houston, and it should be noted that one of those Unders was when Charlie Morton and Mike Clevinger were on the mound, a 4-1 final that night.

Both pitchers sport ERA's under 3 for their last 3 starts, and for the season 6 of Morton's 9 starts, and 5 of Clevinger's 9 starts have landed Under the posted price.

Can't expect too many runs to be scored today, that is for sure.

MLB | BOS vs TAM
Play on: UNDER 7½ -120

Free Pick on Red Sox/Rays UNDER

I'm recommending a play on the UNDER in Thursday's AL East showdown between the Rays and Red Sox. Each of the first two games in the series have gone UNDER the total set by the books and I see no reason given the pitching matchup that trend won't continue in the series finale.

Boston will send out Rick Porcello, who is having a big bounce back season after the disappointing showing in 2017 following his Cy Young campaign. Porcello is 6-1 with a 3.39 ERA and 1.052 WHIP in 10 starts. Not only will he be facing a Rays team that has scored 2 or fewer runs in each of their last 3 games, but he's owned Tampa of late. He's got a 3.23 ERA over 26 career starts against the Rays and is 2-0 with a 3.10 ERA in 3 outings against them this season.

Tampa will send out Blake Snell, who is without a doubt one of their best starters. Snell is 5-3 with a 3.07 ERA and 1.040 WHIP in 10 starts. Most of that success has come at home, where he owns a 1.07 ERA and 0.829 WHIP in 4 starts. He too has faced the opponent 3 times and Snell owns a 1.38 ERA in those 3 starts vs Boston this season.

UNDER is 41-19-4 in the Red Sox's last 64 when playing the 3rd game of a series, 8-2 in their last 10 following a win and 12-3 in their last 15 division road games. UNDER is also 9-2-1 in Tampa's last 12 after a loos, 21-7-2 in their last 30 during game 3 of a series and 5-0-2 in their last 7 at home. Take the UNDER!

WNBA | Sparks vs Sun
Play on: Sun +2½ -110 at GTBets

The LA Sparks travel out east to take on the Connecticut Sun today in a game I'm betting favors the home side. The Sparks are 2-0 after beating the defending champion Lynx 77-76 in game 1 of their season and than blasting Indiana by 17 points in the follow-up. With this being the Sparks third straight road game of the season, I'm betting some fatigue could set in vs a strong and under rated Connecticut side that absolutely annihilated the Las Vegas Aces, 101-65 in their opener .

CONNECTICUT is 17-7 ATS L/24 in May, June, or July games over the last 2 seasons.CONNECTICUT is 15-5 ATS when playing with 3 or more days rest over the last few seasons.CONNECTICUT is 13-4 ATS L/17 after a combined score of 165 points or more dating back to last season. CONNECTICUT is 12-4 ATS L/26 after one or more consecutive overs .

LOS ANGELES is 31-50 ATS off a road win by 10 points or more since 1997.Agler is 8-20 ATS as a road favorite of 3 points or less in all games he has coached since 1997

NBA Road favorites (LOS ANGELES) - excellent offensive team from last season - scored 75 or more points/game, after a win by 10 points or more are 5-23 ATS L/21 seasons for a go against conversion rate of 82% for bettors.

NBA Road favorites (LOS ANGELES) - poor defensive team from last season - allowed 72 or more points/game, after a win by 10 points or more are 8-29 ATS L/21 seasons for a 79% conversion rate for bettors.

Play on the Connecticut Sun to cover

Play - Tampa Bay Rays w/Snell (Game 914).

Edges - Rays: Snell 1.07 ERA with 0.83 WHIP at home this season … Red Sox: Porcello 3-5 last 8 overall away team starts during May … With that look for Snell to improve to 7-3 in his last 10 overall home team starts here tonight…. We recommend a 1* play on Tampa Bay. Thank you and good luck as always.

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #901 Thursday Free Pick OVER the total in Cincinnati Reds vs Pittsburgh Pirates @ 12:35 ET - Great American Ball Park is certainly known as a hitter friendly park and this is particularly true in a day game with warm weather. I feel that neither starting pitcher can be trusted here and certainly neither bullpen has been "lights out" this season. That said, with this total dropping from a 9 to an 8.5 this morning there is also additional value on the over in this match-up. The Pirates Ivan Nova has a 7.24 ERA in his last 3 starts. He also is 0-3 with a 5.71 ERA in his last 3 starts at Cincinnati. The Reds Luis Castillo has a 6.00 ERA in his last two starts versus the Pirates and both of those were recent including one this season. Castillo allowed just 1 earned run in his most recent start but he was fortunate as he walked 5 and gave up 6 hits in just 5 innings of work. He won't be so fortunate this afternoon. The over is 6-3-1 in his 10 starts this season and the over is 5-1 in Nova's road starts this season. The Reds over is 32-19 (including 4-2 this season) when they are at home with a posted total of 8 or 8.5 runs. Pittsburgh is 15-7-3 to the over this season when off of a win. Free Pick OVER the total in Cincinnati

MLB | Astros vs Indians
Play on: Astros -125 at pinnacle

Thursday MLB Free play. My selection is on Houston over Cleveland at 6:10 pm et on Thursday.

The Astros took two of three games from the Indians at home last weekend. The Tribe followed up that series by sweeping a two-game set with the Cubs at Wrigley Field. While I do think the Indians will get back at the Astros over the course of the weekend, I don't think it happens in the series opener on Thursday.

Charlie Morton will take the ball for Houston. He continues to be one of the most underrated and undervalued starters in baseball. Morton has gone a perfect 6-0 with a sub-2.00 ERA this season and is coming off another outstanding effort against these same Indians last week. Note that Morton has worked at least seven innings in three of his last four starts but has needed to throw over 100 pitches only twice over that stretch.

Mike Clevinger has certainly pitched well for the Indians this season as well but it's worth noting that he has needed to throw at least 105 pitches in each of his last four starts. Note that the Tribe are just 1-4 over his last five outings. That includes a 1-2 mark here at home.

We're being asked to lay a reasonable price with what I consider to be the superior team in this matchup, with a slight edge on the mound. Take Houston (8*).

10* FREE MLB PICK (Reds -124)

I'll take my chances here with Cincinnati in Thursday's home game against the Pirates. Pittsburgh won 5-4 in extras on Wednesday after blowing a 4-0 lead. The Pirates are still just 1-4 in their last 5 and I think they go right back to their losing ways in this one. Pittsburgh will send out Ivan Nova, who is just 2-4 with a 4.79 ERA in 10 starts. He's not trending well with a 7.24 ERA in his last 3 starts and has gone 3-6 with a 4.47 ERA in 9 career starts against the Reds. Cincinnati will counter with Luis Castillo, who has been on a tear of late. Big things were expected of Castillo in 2018, but he got off to a bad start. He's turned it around an owns a 2.70 ERA and 1.140 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Cincinnati has won each of the last 3 times he's taken the mound and 4 of the last 5. Give me the Reds -124!

MLB | Red Sox vs Rays
Play on: Rays +1½ -132 at pinnacle

MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

The Tampa Bay Rays have dropped three straight while the Boston Red Sox have won four straight (including the first two of this series) but I think the value is on the home team here at Tropicana Field Thursday night. Note that Rays are 6-2 in their last eight games after losing the first two games of a series.

Tampa Bay hands the ball to Blake Snell (5-3, 3.07 ERA) who held Boston scoreless through 5 2/3 innings in March and limited them to two runs through 7 1/3 frames in April for a season ERA of 1.38 against the Red Sox. Rays are 8-2 in Snell's last 10 home starts vs. a team with a winning record, and the 34-15 Red Sox sure fits into that category.

Rick Porcello (6-1, 3.39 ERA) will take the ball for the visitors. He is 2-0 in three starts against the Rays on the season behind a 3.10 ERA, but I have a feeling the Rays' bats will come alive here after scoring just a total of five runs through their last three games.

Free pick on Tampa Bay Rays +1.5.
