I'm recommending a play on the Rangers as a big home underdog against the A's on Tuesday. Texas is getting no love here due to the fact that they are sending out Matt Moore, who is just 1-5 with a 8.02 ERA and 2.022 WHIP in 10 starts. The Rangers have found a way to win 4 of his 10 outings, including each of his last 2.
The key here is that Oakland starter Sean Manaea has been just as bad as Moore over his last 3 starts. Manaea has a 9.22 ERA and 1.756 WHIP in his last 3 outings and it's not just 1 bad start. All 3 were poor outings, where he gave up 4 or more runs in 5 or less innings. No team with a starter in this kind of form should be this big of a road favorite against a division rival. Take Texas!
