Comp play for Sunday is for the Orioles and the Red Sox to land Over the total.
Friday's series opener saw 10 combined runs, but the game did land under the price of 10 1/2 runs.
Saturday's afternoon meeting saw 14 big runs posted as the game landed Over the total.
Offense has been the "soup de jour" for both teams this young season, as Baltimore is now on an 8-1 Over run their last 9 games this year, and are 11-4 Over the total in their 15 games played entering Sunday's card!
Boston continues to see their starting pitching get shelled - hey, when you allow Mr. "0-for-Infinity" Chris Davis to get his barrel squared on the ball, you know you have problems. The Sox starting pitching staff sports an ERA over 6 for the year. so it is not surprising that the Red Sox enter this game having played Overs in 3 of their last 4, and they are 6-2-1 Over the total in their last 9 games played
Baltimore will give John Means his second start start after coming out of the bullpen to open the season. Means worked 3 innings in his first start on the 9th. He allowed 5 runs (just 1 of them earned), on 4 hits. His counterpart David Price has gotten out of the gate slowly, as his ERA stands at 12.00 for his 12 innings worked. The southpaw has allowed 8 runs on 12 hits in those dozen innings pitched.
I have to believe the Boston starting pitchers will get their act together, but right now it's hard to build a compelling case for looking for a low-scoring game when the Sox or the O's are on the field. When they are on the field together...watch out, look out!!!
Runs aplenty today at Fenway.
Baltimore-Boston Over.

Play: Milwaukee Bucks -12.5 (-110)
3% Take Milwaukee (#516)
Detroit struggled mightily down the stretch; notching only four wins in their final eleven games. They didn’t cover a pointspread in any of the four regular season meetings with the Bucks, losing three of them by double digit margins. Blake Griffin is nowhere near 100% with his knee injury, even though he is expected to play; a non-factor in two of the three games he suited up down the stretch. And let’s not forget that Dwayne Casey’s teams routinely underachieved in the postseason during his tenure in Toronto.
The Bucks took Boston to OT as an underdog in Game 1 last year and won by 14 as underdogs at Toronto in Game 1 the previous season; a squad with a recent history of STRONG Game 1 showings. Milwaukee’s extremely deep bench is a huge factor here – despite a handful of key injuries, Mike Budenholzer’s squad still enjoys a depth edge here, especially with Giannis expected to be fully healthy for Game 1. There’s a legitimate class difference between these two squads in a game that has 20+ point blowout potential. Take the Bucks.

Can the Thunder step up this postseason and erase the memories of getting ousted in the first round last season as the higher-seed when the Utah Jazz eliminated them in 6 games? That is the question. This time around OKC enters the playoffs as the lower seed when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers to open the postseason, and I am going to put my eggs for this first game in Oklahoma City's basket as I grab the points with the Thunder.
Oklahoma City rattled off wins in their last 5 regular season games, including a thrilling 112-111 win at home over Houston on Tuesday that helped them avoid ending the season in the dreaded # 8 spot and thus avoiding Golden State in the opening round. This is a dangerous Thunder team that has also figured out how to beat this Portland team that they are matched up against in this first round.
These teams played their 4 games during the regular season all after the new calendar year, and all 4 were Thunder straight up and against the spread wins, the average margin of victory being by 7-points! That after the Blazers had swept the Thunder in all 4 both straight up and against the spread the season before.
Portland enters this playoff series having won 14 of their final 17 games since the last time they faced Oklahoma City back on March 7th. The Blazers are in the midst of an 8 game home winning streak since that loss to the Thunder, and they have one of their star players in CJ McCollum back in the lineup after missing 10 games late in the year with a knee injury. McCollum only played a pair of games before being rested in the season finale, and he while he is back, he didn't look anywhere near his usual self in limited duty.
The fact McCollum is not at 100%, and the fact center Jusuf Nurkic is out with that broken leg and Enes Kanter will be called on to matchup in the paint against former teammate Steven Adams is certainly not in Portland's favor.
It's hard to go against the home team this time of year, but based on the season series sweep by the Thunder, and based on the what I am seeing out of Oklahoma City right now leads me to believe the Thunder can steal this first game of the series.
Go with Oklahoma City.
3* OKLAHOMA CITY
