DAVE PRICE

Indians vs. Orioles
Play: Indians -116

The Cleveland Indians had been at or below .500 for much of the season, but they are starting to play up to their potential of late. They are now 38-32 after going 7-1 in their last 8 games overall. They have scored at least 5 runs in all 8 contests. The Orioles have allowed at least 5 runs in a ridiculous 18 straight games as their pitching staff has completely fallen apart. It won't get any better tonight for the Orioles with Wade Miley on the mound. The left-hander is 1-1 with a 12.65 ERA and 2.62 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Mike Clevinger has gone 2-3 with a 3.93 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 7 starts this year, including 2-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 4 road starts. The Indians are 13-2 in road games after batting .315 or better over a 5 game span over the last 2 seasons. The Orioles are 1-12 vs. an AL starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.200 or better this season.

Harry Bondi

DETROIT (+120) over Seattle

Tigers are 5-2 on the road this year when talented lefty Daniel Norris starts. Mariners counter by bringing up Andrew Moore from Triple-A. Moore is just 4-3 in minor league ball this season and faces a Detroit team desperate for a win. Wrong team favored here take the Tigers!

The Prez

Tigers at Mariners
Play: Over 9.5

Detroit aims to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of Seattle on Thursday night with first of this series finale scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET at Safeco Field. The Tigers send left-hander Daniel Norris (4-4, 4.42 ERA) to the hill to oppose Mariners righty Andrew Moore.

Norris is riding a two-game winning streak but enters tonight's affair with little to no success against the Mariners in his career. The Tigers southpaw is 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA in four career outings against Seattle. Norris has improved his SwStrike percentage in June after complaining of a late April and May "dead arm" period.

Moore replaces veteran Yovani Gallardo in the rotation and will make the start in front of friends and family. Moore played his college baseball at Oregon State and is currently considered the organizations 2nd ranked pitching prospect.

Moore isn't an overpowering right-hander and relies on his command and secondary pitches to be successful. His four-seamer tops out in the low nineties and his best delivery is considered his changeup.

During his career Norris has struggled with his pitch efficiency resulting in five innings or less in most of his MLB starts and Moore makes his debut versus one of the more dangerous lineups in all of baseball.

Bob Balfe

Cubs -130

Both pitchers are about as dead even in talent and in stats this season, but the Cubs are great against left handed pitching while the Marlines are middle of the road and average at best against right handers. Chicago should get out to an early lead and coast their way to the finish line in this one.
