Atlanta at San Diego
Play: Atlanta +105

We gave out San Diego last night to our clients as they got the easy win, but tonight we will be backing the Atlanta Braves. The Braves send LH Jaime Garcia (2-5, 4.03 ERA) to the hill and he will face the Padres RH Dinelson Lamet (2-2, 6.60 ERA) Garcia has done well in his career against San Diego and he is sporting a 2.57 ERA in 7 starts against the Padres. His last start in April he held the Padres to 2 runs over 6 2/3 innings. Garcia being a LH pitcher is HUGE advantage as well. The Padres are the worse team in baseball against LH pitching with an ugly .216 team average. As for Lamet he has pitched well his last 2 starts but still gave up 3 runs in both of them. He still has for the month of June a nasty 8.55 ERA in 4 starts. We believe this kid will be someone to watch in the future but he is still learning on the job and we will be happy to take the Braves getting plus 105 at the time of this writing.

Minnesota at Boston
Play: Over 10

Kyle Gibson is one of many fringe MLB starting pitchers that has routinely been smacked around this season. He currently owns a 6.23 ERA while allowing 86 hits and 33 walks over 65 innings. Gibson has also surrendered four home runs in his last three starts which is concerning with tonight's outing at Fenway Park. And his inability to go deep into games means the Twins bullpen should get some work tonight; a group that has a 4.90 ERA. This all provies a great chance for the Red Sox to bounce back from last night's 4-1 loss. On the other side, David Price has yet to find his footing since returning to the rotation. Price has allowed three or more runs in five of six starts this season and has failed to go beyond 6 innings in all but one of those games. It’s also worth noting that Price got crushed in his most recent start against the Twins last year wherehe allowed five runs on 11 hits in just 5.2 innings of work right here at Fenway. Not a single Boston starter has pitched more than 6 innings in five consecutive days/games which means the Red Sox pen, for as solid as they’ve been, is a little bit overworked right now and that may open the door for Minnesota to tack on some runs in the latter stages of tonight’s game. The over is 9-4-1 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams and I expect this game to reach double digits.

PITTSBURGH (+110) over Tampa Bay

Another free winner here last night on the Indians and today we jump on the Pirates, a team that got us a win last night as part of a 2-0 sweep for the “Steam Team.” There’s simply no way Tampa Bay should be a road favorite here. Starter Chris Archer is overrated in this spot when you consider that he’s just 3-2 with a 4.17 ERA this season on the road. The disappointing Bucs are just 36-42 overall this year, but have played much better at home, with a record of 20-19. The price is right. Take the home dog.
