Play: Pirates
A temporary flip here, as I still want to try to fade the Pirates, but not here. Taillon has looked terrific recently, and is already emerging as the staff ace with Cole continuing to be less than spectacular. Samardzija is off a nice start for the Giants in which he broke out his curveball for the first time in a few years, and got some good results from it. Edge still belongs to Taillon here, though, and I would definitely give the Pittsburgh pen an advantage as well, with the Giants relievers not doing especially well lately. I made the Pirates roughly -120 here, so any plus price is a take with the Bucs.
