Atlanta Braves -110
The Braves lost a tough one last night to the Marlins 7-6. The Braves Wagner let the Marlins score two runs in the bottom of the ninth. Tonight, the Braves send out Medlen who since inserted in the rotation has given the Braves a huge lift with a 10-1 team start record. Medlen has given the Braves quality starts in all 11 outings allowing 4 runs in less in every start. For the Marlins they send out Sanchez and the Florida righty has been struggling of late with a 6.19 ERA and 1.875 WHIP in his last three starts. Against these Braves Sanchez hasn’t pitched very well with a 4-7 team start record and 4.65 ERA. Medlen has faced these Marlins once and he outdueled Florida ace Johnson 4-3 allowing only one earned run over six innings. The Marlins are very good home dogs this season posting a 1-10 record as dogs of +100 to +125. Also, whenever Florida lines up against a good pitcher like Medlen with an ERA of 3.50 or better they struggle with a 6-17 record. It’s all Braves tonight.

When the Astros host Johnny Cueto and the Reds in Game Two of this three-game series they will send Roy Oswalt to the hill knowing he has dominated Cincinnati in this series, going 22-5 in his career team starts. He enters tonight's game in fine current KW form with four walks and 20 strikeouts in his last three starts, posting a 0.90 ERA in those games. In addition, Oswalt is 8-0 in his last eight home team starts, issuing eight walks against 44 strikeouts in those games. On the flip side, Cueto checks in 0-7 with a 5.03 ERA in his career road team starts during the month of July. Stay at home with Oswalt and the Astros here tonight. We recommend a strong 3-unit play on Houston.

Matchup: N.Y. Mets at L.A. Dodgers
Time: 4:10 PM EDT (Sat)
Listed pitchers must go: (R) PELFREY, M vs. (R) MONASTERIOS, C
Play: L.A. Dodgers (ML -120) SOLID GOLD PLAY
This is all about fading Mike Pelfrey. After pitching some tremendous ball and making a serious run at an All-Star berth, the Mets righty has fallen on some seriously hard times. In fact, he's on what amounts to a record-breaking run of futility over his last handful of starts. I've been going against Pelfrey in some fashion throughout the bad run, and I'm not about to switch gears here. It sure doesn't hurt that he's always been at his weakest pitching in day games on the road. The Dodgers are not playing well right now, so I can't make a great case for them. But with Pelfrey getting bombed, I am dead against the Mets here and therefore playing the Dodgers to rebound with the win today.

Matchup: L.A. Angels at Texas
Time: 8:05 PM EDT (Sat)
Listed pitchers must go: (R) SANTANA, E vs. (R) FELDMAN, S
Play: Over (10 -110)
rvin Santana has been very solid lately for the Angels. But he's now heading to his personal house of horrors. Santana owns a disastrous 8.15 ERA lifetime at this site and several of his career starts against the Rangers have been shootouts. Scott Feldman throws for Texas and he's been the definition of barely adequate this season. 13 of Feldman's 19 starts have seen ten or more runs put on the scoreboard, so there's a good percentage play at work on that side of the equation. These two teams have combined for a grand total of only six runs in the first two games of this series, but I expect the offenses to spring to life in a big way tonight. I'm on the Over between the Halos and Rangers.

ChiSox (+110) for 2 Units
The White Sox are now rolling in Oakland --on a 5-1 run. We'll look for that run to be extended today behind Freddy Garcia. The 'Sox are 38-14 on the road with Garcia, who has been consistently giving Chicago a chance to win all season. Chicago is 14-2 after allowing 5 runs or more, and they're 10-2 in game 2 of a series; they're also 25-10 on Saturdays, and won 14 of their last 20 vs right handed pitchers. On the other hand, the A's are just 5-14 in their last 20 vs winning teams. And Oakland is a mere 2-7 with Mazzaro at home. Mazzaro is pitching great, but Chicago has been awfully good vs righties this month (.310 batting average). We'll grab Chicago.
