Pick: Mets +122
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Mets take on the Yankees at home for the final game of the Subway Series. The Mets got handled yesterday by AJ Burnett only allowing one hit as the Yankees went on to a 5-0 victory over the Mets. Tonight the Mets will have Livan Hernandez on the hill for them. Hernandez has had a good year 5-2 with a 4.05 ERA. Chein Ming Wang gets the start for the Yankees and he has had a terrible year with a lofty 11.49 ERA this season and has yet to earn a victory as a starter. I look for the Mets to come back with heart after being embarrassed in their own ball park last night and to come out on top tonight, Take the Mets.

Street Rosenthal

7-0 the last two days!

*300 Houston Astros +120
I look for the Astros to sweep the Tigers today. I have found several trends that says they will. To start we find the Tigers are 9-25 SU since 2004 seson on the road after a loss in which they left 18+ men on base and it is not the first game in a series. Plus we find the Tigers are 3-14 SU since 2007 season on the road vs a team that has won at least their last three games. Here is a nice trend in favor of the Astros. Astros are an amazing 19-5 SU since 2007 season after a win in which the left 18+ men on base and it is not the first game of a series. Take the Home Dogs for the win

LENNY DEL GENIO

MLB
Washington vs. Baltimore
1:35 EST

Last week was the Nats most productive of the year as they first took two of three from the Yankees, then did the same to Toronto, which produced a season high four-game win streak. However, this is the Nationals and they have returned to their losing ways ever since dropping five of their last and are now poised to be swept right out of Baltimore. However, we feel that there are plenty of reasons not to "break those brooms" out. One is that the Orioles are a MLB worst 7-29 on Sundays over the last two seasons, which not coincidentally leads them into a horrible 18-47 mark in day games. They are also 2-15 after allowing three runs or less in BB games. John Lannan seems to pitch well every time he takes the mound for Washington as he has allowed three runs or less in EVERY start but one since 4/17! Washington is our EARLY Underdog Winner.

MLB
Colorado vs. Oakland
4:05 EST

Aaron Cook probably doesn?t want to see the month of June come to an end. The Colorado ace looks for a fifth straight victory while trying to help the Rockies complete a three-game road sweep of the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. Cook (7-3, 4.00 ERA) allowed one run and three hits in seven innings of an 11-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. While Cook became the Rockies? all-time leader by passing Jason Jennings with 59 career victories, and Pedro Astacio for most road wins (30), he also improved to 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA in his last four starts since losing June 1 at Houston; however I believe Cook will stumble today and believe we're getting great value on the home side! The surging Rockies (39-35) put themselves in position for their first sweep in Oakland by holding on for an 11-9 win Saturday. Colorado has won 19 of its last 22, and is 21-7 since Jim Tracy replaced the fired Clint Hurdle as manager; I feel this is a perfect 'letdown' spot for an over achieving squad. Vin Mazzaro (2-2, 2.56) looks to bounce back for Oakland after giving up a career-high four runs and seven hits while striking out six in six innings of a 4-1 loss to Tim Lincecum and San Francisco on Tuesday. The rookie right-hander is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts after not allowing a run in the first two of his career earlier this month; I expect him to return to form and settle down in front of the home town crowd. In fact, this is a bad spot for the Rockies which are a poor 12-14 (-3 units) when playing against a team with a losing record. I look for the A's to improve to 13-12 (+1.5 units) in the month of June as the Rockies lose focus after their overachieving run; play on the ATHLETICS!
