The B.C. Lions are a much better team than they showed in their 37-18 home opening loss against Saskatchewan last Saturday.

Keep in mind, the Lions were favored in that game, against perhaps the class of the CFL (at least so far) in the Roughriders.

After that embarrassing performance, I'm confident we'll see a solid bounce-back effort here tonight. Casey Printers is expected to start after being forced to leave last week's game with a hamstring injury. Remember, the Lions trailed by only three points when he exited the game late in the first half.

The Alouettes have split their first two games, but they certainly haven't been playing inspired football. Their defense has been awful, and their offense has been inconsistent. They're too talented not to get things turned around, but I'm not convinced it happens in this spot. They'll be on the road for the third consecutive game to start the season, and elected to stay in Edmonton after last Sunday's contest.

This is a clear look-ahead spot for Montreal, as it will play its home opener against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats next week. Meanwhile, for B.C. the time to perform is now, as they aim to notch their first victory at Empire Field.

This is a strong motivational spot for the underdog Lions coming off that dismal performance last week, and I'm confident we'll see them give the Als all they can handle on Friday. Montreal hasn't had much success in Vancouver over the years, and this isn't an ideal spot for them to change that. Take B.C.

Boston's injuries are really catching up to them both in the field and on the mound. The Red Sox are forced to start rookie Felix Doubront today, who is 1-1 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.593 WHIP in 2 starts this year. We'll gladly back Colby Lewis of the Rangers Friday, who is 8-5 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.121 WHIP this year. Lewis has actually been at his best on the road, sporting a 3.28 ERA and 0.928 WHIP in 9 road starts. Boston is 5-20 (-15.6 Units) against the money line vs. teams outscoring opponents by 0.5 or more runs/game in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. The Rangers are 11-1 in their last 12 during game 2 of a series and 10-2 in their last 12 road games. Take the Rangers on the Money Line.
