PICK: Los Angeles Angels
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Jered Weaver(13-4,3.89 ERA) enters into this tilt against the visiting Detroit Tigers off a a seven-hit shut outs of the Indians at Progressive Field on Wednesday night. That was his fourth work horse complete game effort of the season. Weaver has been his very best at home this season, as is evident by his 8-1 record along with a 2.76 ERA in 13 home contests . He is buoyed by an explosive Halos offense that has averaged 8.2 RPG when his is on the mound. With that said, I'm all in on the Angels tonight no matter who the Tigers send to the mound (Justin Verlander). It must noted that Verlander is 0-2 along with a 4.55 ERA in 5 career starts vs LAA, and in his first ever start in Angel Stadium was smashed for 7 runs in a 5 inning effort and a 12-10 loss. The Angels has won eight of 10 and 27 of the last 35 home games against the Tigers, and I'm betting on more of the same positive action in this spot. Final notes & Key Trends: Tigers are 3-8 in Verlanders last 11 starts as a road underdog. Angels are 26-9 in Weavers last 35 home starts. .....Play on the LA Angels

Oakland Athletics @ Seattle Mariners
PICK: Over 8.5
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
We catch a real good number here as this total does not line up with what we have on the mound for tonight. After a huge run on the ‘Over’, Oakland cooled off over the past week as five of its last seven games stayed ‘Under’ and that is part of the reason we get some good value on Monday. The pitching was the main reason for the low scoring output for the A’s as they held opponents to three runs or fewer in five of those games but that will not be the case tonight. One of those games that did not see three runs or less came with Vin Mazzaro on the mound as they allowed seven runs in that game to the Yankees. Since tossing a quality game back on June 18th, his fourth in a row, he has gone 11 straight starts without throwing another one while posting a 6.95 ERA and a whopping 2.10 WHIP. His season numbers are now 5.31 and 1.73 respectively while his numbers on the road have gone to 5.22 and 1.68 respectively. The ‘Over’ is 5-1-1 over his last seven starts. Seattle has gone ‘Under’ in two straight games and it is 7-4-1 in its last 12 games as the offense has found a rut. The Mariners have scored three runs or fewer in nine of those 12 games but the bats should see some life tonight against Mazzaro. Ian Snell will be making his fifth start for the Mariners and he has been up and down since coming over from the Pirates. After posting a 5.36 ERA and 1.62 WHIP for Pittsburgh, he has put up a 6.63 ERA and 1.74 WHIP for Seattle and at home, those jump to 13.50 and 2.73 respectively in two starts at Safeco Field. Oakland is hitting .291 over its last 10 games against right-handed pitching and the ‘Over’ is 10-2 in the A’s last 12 road games against a right-handed starter. Meanwhile the ‘Over’ is 4-1 in the Mariners last five home games against a right-handed starter and the ‘Over’ is 8-2 in their last 10 games after allowing five runs or more in their previous game.

1 Unit on Colorado Rockies -166
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Rockies have won 6 of their last 7, including back-to-back games over the Giants, and they have the advantage again tonight with Marquis on the hill against Zito. While Zito has performed better of late, it can't be overlooked that those starts were against the Reds and Mets. The reality is that Zito is 4-7 on the road with a 4.52 ERA. Marquis is having a career year for Colorado, going 14-8 (16-8 against the money line) with a 3.58 ERA. He has been brilliant in his career against the Giants, going 6-2 against the money line with an ERA of 2.30 and a WHIP of 0.938. The Rockies are 16-4 when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 54% to 62%) this season, winning by an average score of 5.8 to 3.7. We'll ride the Rockies tonight.

I am taking a shot on the Indians who actually have been playing decently of late. The Royals have dropped 7 of the last 10 and the rallying call in KC is to avoid dropping 100 games. Frankly I am just not convinced that tonight starter for Trey Hillmans club Gil Meche is still sound physically. Gil, who I actually do respect as a pitcher, has struggled quite a bit since coming off the DL. He's surrendered 8 runs and 15 hits in the 10 frames worked. Although I do not place enormous stock in this he is also only 5-9 through his career against the Tribe. Indians lefty Jeremy Sowers has battled inconsistency all season and we need him to be sharp tonight, I don't need an All Star performance from Sowers against this weak Royals lineup. I just need a solid nights work. Key here is to get Meche out of the game by the 6th innning and then feast on the Royals horrid middle relief group.

EZWINNERS

Oakland A's @ Seattle Mariners
Play: Seattle Mariners -120

The Mariners starting pitcher Ian Snell pitched fantastic in his last start at Detroit, out pitching the Tigers ace Justin Verlander. That was by far Snell's best start in the big leagues this season. Snell has had great numbers in AAA, and since Oakland features a glorified AAA lineup I will back the Snell and the Mariners in this game. Play on Seattle.

N.Y. Jets at BALTIMORE -3
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Tonight's FREE winner comes from the gridiron as I love the way this Baltimore defense gets after it - even in the preseason - and how they are going after the Jets tonight.

Tough spot for the Jets' Mark Sanchez as he gets his first start in the NFL and it comes against the best defense the league has seen in quite a while. Play Baltimore in this one as the Ravens even shut out teams in the preseason - as evidenced in their 23-0 shutout win of the Redskins last week.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Ravens get to go against not only a rookie QB but a rookie head coach who they know very well in Jets' coach Rex Ryan who was their defensive coordinator.

Baltimore has got a wonderful little battle going at RB between Willis McGahee and Ray Rice. Both guys have looked great in training camp and expect that to spill over into tonight's game against the Jets.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
At QB, Joe Flacco will play into the second quarter and then expect to see a lot of Troy Smith in the third and fourth quarter. Smith hasn't looked too bad in camp and is getting more comfortable running the offense. Defensively, there's no worries with this team, even with the second stringers.

New York is giving the slight edge to Sanchez to win the starting spot over Kellen Clemens, but tonight could go a long way to clearing up that battle. If Sanchez performs well, the job is his. Both guys will get snaps with the first-team offense, just too bad for them it'll all come against a tremendous defense that is getting it's work in.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Jets are without two starters on the offensive line - which doesn't help either QB out. Love the Ravens in this one, play Baltimore to win 24-10.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
G-Man stands at 25-20 the last 45 days with my comp plays.

Monday night, I look for things to calm down at Fenway Park, and the UNDER to finally prevail.

Boston just played a very HIGH-SCORING series against the NY Yankees, as all 3 meetings landed HIGH.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
That makes 10 of the last 11 games played at Fenway having gone OVER. Normally, that kind of stat would have the G-Man licking his chops to back the OVER in tonight's game, but wait just a minute!

Chicago comes to Beantown having played UNDER in their last 4 games, and 8 of their last 11 overall.

The teams have also combined to go UNDER to a tune of 8-3-1 the last 12 games played in Boston, and the Pale Hose are on a 10-3 UNDER run their last 13 on the road.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Both Jose Contreras, and Clay Buchholz are coming off quality starts, and I think they will mow the hitters down again tonight.

G-Man playing this one LOW.

Cleveland -105 at KANSAS CITY
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Now on a 44-35 roll with the plays I'm giving away! For today's complimentary play, we're looking at the Cleveland/Kansas City match up...

Good spot for the Tribe, as southpaw Jeremy Sowers has really come on since returning from his stint in the minors. He's notched quality starts in 4 of his 5 efforts since then, going 2-2 and allowing a combined 11 runs over his last 32 innings pitched! True, he's lost 2 straight, but the last one was hardly his fault, limiting an excellent Angels offense to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6 2/3 innings last Wednesday... Things will get a lot easier against a sputtering Royals offense tonight!
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
On the flip side, Gil Meche has hardly been impressive since coming back off the DL, allowing 4 runs in 5 innings in both starts since then. Granted, he does have rock-solid numbers against the Tribe, but two things should have Royals-backers worried in this contest: A. Meche's 1-5 record and 5.73 ERA at home this season. And B. Cleveland has really caught fire lately, playing loose and making it happen at the plate, scoring at least 6 runs in 14 of their L28 games (going 17-11 over that span)!

Finally, along with their edge on the mound and at the plate, the Tribe's pen also gets the edge by default, as KC's bullpen has been a disaster, posting a 6.59 ERA their L3 games! Sorry Royals-backers, but the bleeding continues, as Sowers will outpitch Meche with ease, while the Indians offense continues its hot-hitting ways in this one! Indians roll Monday night!
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Take Cleveland behind Sowers over Kansas City and Meche in this MLB match up.

Detroit at L.A. ANGELS -125
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
I bucked all the trends Sunday in giving you the Blue Jays as a winner over the Angels. That victory gives me 11 wins in my last 15 complimentary selections, including four straight! Now I'm ready to roll over that success into another week.

Jered Weaver (13-4, 3.89 ERA) hasn't been pitching as well as he did in the first half of the season, but he has been winning.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Angels right-hander is 5-1 with a 5.43 ERA in his last nine starts, and Los Angeles is 8-1 in that stretch. Weaver stepped up in his last outing, throwing a seven-hit shutout Wednesday against Cleveland.

He is 2-1 with a 7.08 ERA in four career starts vs. Detroit, and allowed three runs and seven hits in seven innings on April 21 in his last outing against the Tigers.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Detroit ace Justin Verlander (13-7, 3.29) hasn't had any success against the Angels in his career, going 0-2 with a 4.55 ERA in five starts. He pitched eight shutout innings against Los Angeles in Detroit on June 5, but left with a no-decision. Verlander was rocked for seven runs and nine hits in five innings in Anaheim on April 22.

Verlander allowed three runs and six hits with 10 strikeouts in eight innings Wednesday in a 3-1 home loss to Seattle. He hasn't been as good on the road as he has at home, going 6-5 with a 4.27 ERA in 14 starts away from Detroit.

Weaver has been nearly unbeatable at home, going 8-1 with a 2.76 ERA in 13 starts. The Tigers are 13 games under .500 on the road, and the Angels are returning home, where they are 36-22, after a successful 6-4 road trip.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Detroit had troubles with the lowly A's in Oakland over the weekend, has lost 10 consecutive road series and is 8-15 in its last 23 road games. That doesn't add up too well from the Tigers today facing Weaver. Take the Angels in this one.

Oakland at SEATTLE -125
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Our free play run stands at 22-10-1 the last 33 days.

For Monday we look for Seattle to enjoy their return to the pacific northwest where they are 5 games above .500, and will be playing a division-rival whose number they have had this season.

Seattle is 6-3 this season against Oakland, and they are also 9-3 the last 12 overall meetings against the Athletics.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Ian Snell is coming off a 5-plus inning win over Detroit, and Justin Verlander, and we can see him building on that win against a team he will be facing for the first time.

Vin Mazzaro has gone 2-0 his last 3 starts, but is just 4-8 for the year, and in games he has started this season the A's are only 5-10.

Oakland is just 25-35 this season on the road, so we will stick with the "home cooking", and look for the Mariners to take the series opener on Monday.

Play on the M's.

How easy was that Twins winner yesterday? Minnesota cruises to an easy 10-3 win just like I said the team would.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
I’m making it two straight Comp Play winners tonight as I’m taking the Tampa Bay Rays on the road at the Toronto Blue Jays.

These teams have met 12 times this season with Tampa Bay easily dominating its AL East rival, going 9-3 against the Jays. When playing in Toronto, the Rays have taken 4 of their 6 meetings this season.

Consider, too, while Roy Halladay is still one of the best pitchers in the majors, his team has done little to help his cause. Over his last 15 starts the Blue Jays are just 5-10 and have won just 2 of his last 7 starts at home.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Keep in mind, too, in four games against Tampa this season, Toronto has gone just 1-3 with Halladay on the mound.

Things won’t get any better tonight as the Rays get over.

LT Profits

Oakland Athletics @ Seattle Mariners
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
A pitching matchup between Vin Mazzaro of the Oakland Athletics and Ian Snell of the Seattle Mariners may need seem like an obvious Under at first glance, but a close look reveals that Under is the play here.

Mazzaro had a terrible start, but he has appeared to turn a corner lately, as he has allowed three runs or less in each of his last three starts. Yes his stamina is a question mark, but he has the support of an excellent Oakland bullpen that has posted a 2.91 ERA over the last 10 games. It also helps that the Mariners offense is hitting just .251 as a team while averaging 4.00 runs over the last 10 games.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Oakland offense has been even worse, averaging 3.80 runs over this same span. This should make life easier for Seattle start Ian Snell, who is coming off of his best start in a Mariners uniform as he allowed one run and four hits in 5.2 innings vs. the Detroit Tigers last Wednesday. This is also his first career starts vs. the Athletics, which should work to his advantage.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
In fact, this will also be the first time that Mazzaro has faced the Mariners, so we expect both offenses to struggle against these unfamiliar pitchers tonight.

Pick: Athletics/Mariners Under 8.5

Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners
Selection: Oakland/Seattle Over 9
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Oakland Athletics will use starting pitcher Vin Mazzaro. Vin Mazzaro has had big pitching problems this season. In fact, Vin Mazzaro has a 5.31 ERA on the season. We see Vin Mazzaro giving up many runs once again tonight.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Seattle Mariners will use starting pitcher Ian Snell. Ian Snell is also having big pitching problems this season. In fact, Ian Snell has a 6.63 ERA on the season. In addition, Ian Snell has a 8.31 ERA in his last 3 starts. We also see Ian Snell giving up many runs once again tonight.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
With two struggling starting pitchers on the mound tonight, it's clear we should see a high-scoring game.

Take the Oakland Athletics/Seattle Mariners Over 9

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
This is a low total for an AL game, especially one indoors. Yes, both pitchers are very good, one an ace, but these offenses are strong, as well. Tampa Bay is 5 th in all of baseball in runs scored, the Jays are 13th. Tampa Bay righty Jeff Niemann has an ERA over 4 his last three starts. Both teams have faced the other pitcher this season, as well.

Prediction: Toronto Blue Jays
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Roy Halladay comes off a loss in his last start, 6-1 to Boston, but we expect him to bounce back here (at an unusually great price!) considering a 117-57 TSR on turf throughout his career. Tampa Bay is ten games under .500 on the road this year and scored just one time off Halladay (solo HR) the last time they faced him after beating him three times earlier in the year. Take Toronto.
