Toronto -105 at BALTIMORE

Toronto's Ricky Romero (7-3, 2.96 ERA) has been impressive over his last seven starts, going 5-1 with a 2.22 ERA.

The rookie left-hander beat the Yankees in his last start, allowing three runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Orioles left-hander Rich Hill (3-2, 7.43) has been horrible lately, allowing at least six runs in each of his last three starts.

And Hill has been even worse pitching at Camden Yards this year, allowing 17 earned runs and 20 hits in 10 2/3 innings over three starts.

Before their 2-0 win Friday, the Blue Jays had won just three times in 14 games, and Romero was the starter in each of those victories. I think the 24-year-old will keep the Orioles’ bats quiet today. Go with the Blue Jays to get the win.

Texas at SEATTLE

Today I'm loving the Rangers as they are in the Pacific Northwest to take on the Mariners in this American League West matchup.

I've said it before in this spot - I love the Rangers' Kevin Millwood and his consistency. Even though the guy got drilled in his last outing, he won't let it bother him and he'll come out and give Texas a quality start and legitimate shot at winning tonight in Seattle.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Millwood (8-6, 3.34 ERA) gave up nine runs in five innings against the Angels on Monday, losing 9-4 in Anaheim. But in eight of his previous nine outings he hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a contest and the Rangers had won six of the eight.

Millwood faced these Mariners on May 4 and gave up five runs in 7.1 innings but his offense did the job for him and got the win 6-5.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Jarrod Washburn (5-6, 3.08 ERA) is on the hill for the Mariners and he's had no luck against the Rangers lately, with the Mariners losing five of his last six outings and he's given up three runs or more in seven straight against Texas. He threw a complete-game one-hitter against the Orioles on Monday, but they aren't exactly the offensive juggernaut the Rangers are.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Rangers took Friday night’s contest 6-4 and Texas is 22-7 in its last 29 against the A.L. West and 8-2 in its last 10 overall. The Rangers are also 7-2 in their last nine in Seattle and 6-1 in the last seven with the Mariners overall. Play Texas is this one!

Atlanta + over Colorado
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Atlanta is batting .297 in the last ten games and this is a game where the starting pitchers have very deceiving records. Jason Marquis has had a fine season but his season ERA is considerably higher than his counterpart on the mound tonight Jair Jurrjens. Marquis is 11-5 while Jurrjens is 6-7. Marquis has been less effective at home while Jurrjens has been a superior road pitcher and he pitched well against the Rockies in a May start. The Rockies are 26-8 in the last 34 games but just 6-5 in the last eleven and the offense has cooled off considerably, batting just .228 in that span. The recent stretch of winning has created inflated lines for the Rockies and Atlanta will be a dangerous underdog Saturday night, playing with their top pitcher on the mound. The Braves should also have a significant edge once this game gets into the bullpens.

BRAVES vs. ROCKIES
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Colorado Rockies Jason Marquis is a first-time All-Star and will face one of his former teams, the Atlanta Braves. The 30-year-old is 11-5 with a 3.61 ERA and will look to set a career-high streak for consecutive scoreless innings Saturday against Atlanta. He tossed eight innings Monday night against the Washington Nationals to win the eighth 1-0 game in Coors Field's 15-year history after a three-hit shutout June 30 against the host Los Angeles Dodgers. Hew has a 2.03 ERA in consecutive wins over the Braves. Atlanta (42-44) beat Colorado last night 4-1 and will start right-hander Jair Jurrjens (6-7, 2.91) who will try to improve on a 1-5 record over his last seven starts with a fourth straight win over the Rockies.Jurrjens, who allowed one run over seven innings in an 8-1 home win against Colorado on May 19, gave up four runs over six innings in Monday night's 9-2 loss to the host Chicago Cubs.Jason Marquis has been stellar of late, not giving up a run in his last two outings. He will carruy that momentum into the All-star break as Colorado only needs three runs to get back on track and get the win against the Braves tonight.

The Toronto Blue Jays Ricky Romero (7-3, 2.96 ERA) has been impressive in his rookie season in the majors, and is off a top tier effort vs the NY Yankees last time out. Over his last seven outings , former Cal State Fullerton standout has gone 5-1 with a 2.22 ERA. Im betting on more of the same top tier work in this spot vs a Baltimore Orioles team that has struggled mightily against LH starter this season, averaging just 4 RPG via a BA that is floating right around the Mendoza line. Final notes & Key Trends: Toronto is 15-6 L/21 meetings in this series. ....Play on the Toronto Blue Jays

Atlanta Braves @ Colorado Rockies
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Atlanta Braves beat the Colorado Rockies 4-1 here in the altitude last night, and we are looking for a similarly low scoring game tonight.

Jason Marquis is going to the All-Star Game for the Rockies, as he is 11-5 with a 3.61 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, impressive numbers when you consider how high his home stadium is. In fact, Marquis has a 3.72 ERA here at Coors Field, suggesting that his overall ERA would be closer to 3.00 if he pitched at sea level. Marquis also comes into this game in peak form, as he has tossed 17 scoreless innings in his last two starts while allowing a total of just nine hits.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Now Jair Jurrjens may be just 6-7 for the Braves, but his key numbers are actually better than those of Marquis. Jurrjens has an excellent 2.91 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, but he has gotten very little run support and that does not figure to change tonight. He has also owned the Rockies, as he allowed one run and just three hits in seven innings in his only start against Colorado this season after hurling 7.2 scoreless innings the last time he pitched here at Coors last year.

Finally, the Under is 13-6-1 in the last 20 starts Jurrjens has made on grass, as well as 26-8 in the last 34 Rockies games overall.

The Pirates are 20-7-2 UNDER their last 29 games and they are 5-0-1 UNDER in the last 6 starts made by Ross Ohlendorf. PLAY ON 'UNDER' (Hamels vs. Ohlendorf)

Play: Chicago Cubs
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Cubs will be more than happy not to be underdogs today as Friday's loss dropped them to a miserable 2-14 in that role this season. Now, the "cards" are in their favor as St. Louis averages a scant 3.8 runs per game vs. lefties and must solve Ted Lilly, who boasts a fantastic 1.96 ERA in eight home starts this season. St. Louis starter Brad Thompson has been a disaster of late with three straight losses, including two by a combined 21-0 margin! CUbs love the day action and so does Ted Lilly when favored. CUBBIES ROLL HERE TODAY!!

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on the Dodgers as they face Milwaukee starting at 8:05 EST. Supporting this graded play is a strong system that has produced a record of 36-14 making 23.2 units for 72% winners. Play against home teams that are verage offensive team scoring 4.3 to 4.8 runs/game facing a good NL starter posting an ERA<=3.70 after allowing 10 runs or more. Weaver is a solid 10-1 (+10.6 Units) against the money line in road games vs. teams whose hitters strike out 7 or more times/game in the second half of the season since 1997. Take the Dodgers.

It's been more than two weeks since the Toronto Blue Jays have won consecutive games. With Ricky Romero pitching, they have to like their chances to end that drought. The red-hot rookie will try to close out a stellar first half Saturday night by winning his fifth straight start as the Blue Jays continue their three-game road series against the Baltimore Orioles. Before a 2-0 victory Friday, Toronto (44-44) had won only three of its previous 14 - each time with Romero (7-3, 2.96 ERA) on the mound. Baltimore is a poor 11-19 (-5 units) against division opponents! Good value on the BLUE JAYS!

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
The Tigers have won 3 straight, while the Indians have dropped four of their last five. Detroit has also won six of seven against Cleveland this season after last night's win. Galarraga appears to be returning to form, allowing just 2 runs over 13 1/3 innings in his last two starts. Pavano has subpar numbers and he's been getting hit hard lately. Pavano has allowed 22 earned runs and 44 hits in his last 27 innings of work. These two hurlers squared off at Comerica Park on May 1st, with Cleveland getting a 6-5 win. Pavano pitched well, but it was also the first time Detroit had faced him. Now that the Tigers hitters have been in the box against Pavano, they should produce better this time around. We also have a serious bullpen edge with Detroit. It also doesn't hurt that Detroit is one of the best home teams in baseball at 26-12. The Tigers are well worth a half-unit play tonight.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
These two teams have scored a lot of runs in the first two games of this series and the 4 games these guys have played this year have produced 58 runs, so perhaps this play looks a bit iffy. Afterall 58 divided by 4 equals 14.5 per contest! I don't think it does look iffy for a number of reasons. Despite all of this stuff, this venue is considered an UNDER Site and UNDER is still 9-3-2 last 14 here. As bad as Washington is, they can hit the ball but they will be in their worst hitting posture tonight facing a lefty, and the same will be true for Houston facing the rightly. We do have a Ump working behind the plate that has been very kind to throwers. Culbreth worked games have produced just 7.8 runs this year, batters are hitting a meager .235, and pitchers are enjoying a 3.50 ERA. Mike Hampton gets a lot of bad press, but the fact is, he his throwing very well of late, allowing just 1 run in 4 of his last 5 starts. Overall, his last 32 innings have seen just 7 runners step onto the plate and his last 7 games have seen 6 UNDERS. The Nats pitcher can be good, and he can be bad. But his last effort was marvo at Colorado, allowing 1 run over 7 innings and the one prior to that was pretty good as well. In fact except for one bad game, his last 5 of 6 have been super duper overall and his games have seen UNDER at 4-2 last 6. His last 5 road affairs are 4-1 UNDER as well. I think that things will slow down a bit for these two teams but in the meantime because of the way they have played, we have a good number to work with and I will play it with ferver.
