Colorado Rockies at Cincinnati Reds
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Play on the Cincinnati Reds - The Reds host the Colorado Rockies tonight at 7:10 PM ET for the second game of the series. Last night, Cincinnati took the one run win against the Rockies. De La Rosa, who is on the mound for the Rockies has been pitching terrible. He has a 6.91 ERA and 1.745 WHIP in his last three starts and is pitching even worse on the road with a 7.20 ERA and 2.200 WHIP. Volquez who is starting for Cincinnati is making his season debut tonight. Colorado has gone 4-15 when the total is 8.5-10 which is the situation in tonight’s matchup. Play on the Cincinnati Reds

Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox
Play: Boston Red Sox
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Red Sox have lost the first two games of the series dropping them 6 1/2 games behind the front running Yankees and 3 1/2 behind Tampa Bay for the Wild Card spot. There's still time left in the season but the Red Sox need a win tonight versus the Rangers. Tonight they send veteran pitcher, John Lackey, to the mound. Although he hasn't been the most consistent pitcher this year the Red Sox have won 7 of his 8 night starts at home.

The Rangers will counter with new acquisition, Cliff Lee on the hill. Lee struggled in his first outing which could be a problem for the Rangers as he is going againts a Red Sox team who has feasted on Left-handed starters. In fact, the Red Sox are 9-2 against Left-Handed starters in night games at home while averaging a potent 7.8 runs per game.

Supporting Angles: TEXAS is 8-15 (-14.5 Units) against the money line against AL East opponents this season. BOSTON is 22-4 (+15.7 Units) against the money line in home games vs. a starting pitcher whose gives up 7 or more hits/start over the last 3 seasons.

You get a quality team, Boston, as a home underdog? I'm taking the Red Sox in this one

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees
Play: Tampa Bay Rays
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
NYY are the better team but two things against them today: AJ Burnett and a big letdown after the emotional win for the late George Steinbrenner. Also today TB might have their most consistent pitcher in Nieman who is 1-0 with a 2.93 ERA in three starts against the Yankees. TB has won 10 of last 13 games and have beat up Burnett this year scoring 6 runs in 6 innings last time they faced them. A better and more consistent starter on mound will lead to easy winner as TB bounces back after yesterdays loss.

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins
Play: Minnesota Twins
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Minnesota snapped the 9 game Chicago win streak last night. Teams off a loss coming off a big win streak tend to lose focus and struggle in the next game. I also have a nice system here that plays on the Twins. What we want to do is play on certain home favorites off a home win,if they scored 5 or more runs and left 10 or more men on base vs an opponent off a road dog loss and scored 4 or less runs with 5 or more men left on base. This system cashes around 74% of the time. Twins starter C. Pavano has pitched well vs the Sox allowing just 4 runs in 23 innings over his last three starts vs them. With Minnesota having won 17 of the past 22 games at home vs Chicago we will back them here tonight as the free play.

Nationals @ Marlins
PICK: Under 7
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Nationals are 31-15 to the under this season when playing a team with a losing record on the season. Washington is 5-2 to the under the last three seasons when they are on the road and the total is 7 or less. The Marlins are 5-0 to the under the last three seasons when they are at home and the total is a 7 or less. The Marlins were shutout yesterday but don’t look for a bounce back on offense today. Florida is 13-5 to the under the last three seasons when they are coming off of a shutout loss! Also, after a loss this season, the Marlins are 27-15 to the under in their next game.

Livan Hernandez always seems to bring something extra to the mound when he’s facing a former employer and he’s 13-8 with a solid 3.52 ERA in his career outings against the Marlins. As for Josh Johnson of Florida, he is simply one of the most dominating right-handers in the game. Johnson is an amazing 31-9 the last three seasons. He’s compiled a 1.70 ERA this season while holding opposing hitters to a .203 BAA. Also, he’s 6-0 with a 3.55 ERA in his career against the Nationals. Johnson has held Washington hitters to a .211 BAA in 13 games (12 starts) in his career. Consider a small play on UNDER the total in Florida on Saturday evening.

Oakland A's -115
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
I have to give the edge to the A's and All-Star starter Trevor Cahill in this game vs. Kansas City. Oakland still believes they can win the AL West with a strong finish. "For the second half, we should be better and healthier," manager Bob Geren told the A's official website. "We'll be right in there fighting every step of the way." Oakland is 8-2 in their last 10 road games. Cahill is 9-3 with a 2.94 ERA and 1.031 WHIP in 15 starts this season. Cahill is 2-0 with a 4.09 ERA in two career starts vs. Kansas City.

The Royals are 0-4 in their last 4 games, getting outscored 9-33 in the process. This has been a one-sided series, with Oakland going 31-10 in their last 41 meetings in Kansas City. Cahill is 16-3 against the money line when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last 2 seasons. The A's are 7-0 in Cahill's last 7 starts as a favorite and 7-0 in their last 7 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. Roll with Oakland Saturday.

1 Unit on Braves -1.5 +113

The Braves didn't look good last night, but that's a rarity for them at home. They should right the ship on Saturday with Tim Hudson on the mound who is 9-4 with a 2.30 ERA and 1.13 WHIP this year, including a 5-2 record, 1.85 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in Atlanta. The Brewers have rarely played well on the road this season and their starter, Chris Narveson is 1-2 with a 7.16 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over his last 3 starts.

1* on New York Yankees -127
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
This is a great value bet on the Yankees who are usually -200 favorites at home. At this price, we'll gladly give New York a go with our free pick Saturday. Tampa Bay is 0-11 (-11.9 Units) against the money line in road games vs. AL teams scoring 5.2 or more runs/game in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. The Rays have been terrible against the powerful offenses of the AL on the road in the second half as you can see. Meanwhile, the Yankees are 24-4 (+17.0 Units) against the money line in home games when playing against a team with a winning record in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. Also, the Yankees are 15-0 (+15.0 Units) against the money line in home games with a rested bullpen - threw <= 2 innings in each of the last 2 games this season. Take New York on the Money Line.

Red Dog Sports

Texas at Boston
Pick: Texas -140

Play Texas with Cliff Lee is our free play for Saturday as the Red Sox have several injuries, especially with Dustin Pedroia being out. Lee did not pitch well in his first start but has been able to get acclimated with his new team over the break. John Lackey starts for Boston and he has struggled this year. Today he gets to face a tough Texas lineup featuring Ian Kinsler and Josh Hamilton.
