Baltimore Orioles @ Boston Red Sox
PICK: Under 9.5

Another under for these clubs yesterday. Don't look for a change today. Jon Lester has dominated the Orioles in their meetings. As for Jeremy Guthrie, he'll be facing a Red Sox lineup that continues a prolonged slump. The Red Sox have stayed under the total in eight straight games. The Orioles have stayed under the total in nine of their last eleven games. This a combined streak of 17-2 that is favoring the under here! Consider a small play on UNDER the total in Boston on Saturday night.

Texas Rangers at Kansas City Royals
Prediction: Kansas City Royals
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVlCE PLAYS VlSlT THESPREAD.COM
Kansas City starter Luke Hochevar has a better 5 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio in his last 3 starts. Kansas City is 4-1 in the last 5 starts made by Hochevar. The Royals are 4-0 with Hochevar when the Total is 9.0 to 10.5 and they are 5-1 with Hochevar vs. winning teams. Texas is 1-6 their last 7 Saturday games and 2-5 their last 7 games vs. AL Central teams. Starting pitcher Derek Holland has allowed 14 runs in his last 15.2 innings of work. The Rangers are 2-5 in the last 7 starts made by Holland. PLAY ON KANSAS CITY +

When it comes to the series history, it looks like the Nationals are San Diego's "BITCHES"! In the last 5 seasons, the PADRES are 40-17 vs Washington. And in our nation's Capital, SAN DIEGO is 14-2 in the last 16 meetings. Washington is a team that is always a great 'go AGAINST'. But put them up against an weak opponent with a winning percentage of LESS than .400... and they've gone a PERFECT 0-4 in their last 6 games. The Nats are also 1-7 in their last 8 HOME games vs right-handed starters.

TIM STAUFFER has looked great in his two starts thus far in the 2009 season. He just allowed ONE earned run at home vs the Marlins last Monday night. And he went 7 innings on the road vs the Giants in the start before that... allowing only 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and a 7-1 K/BB ratio. We;ll gladly take the money with an Underdog that has an ERA of 2.08 on the year, and an opponent team batting average of only .208. He'll be taking on a home favorite in JD MARTIN that enters tonight's game with an ERA of 11.25. He got rocked in his Monday night start at home vs the Mets, allowing 8 hits in only 4 in innings.... and 5 earned runs.
