Nelly

Washington at Milwaukee
Play Over

Yovani Gallardo was great in his last start, with over seven innings of shutout ball but he still walked four or more batters for the fourth straight game. Even with the goose egg, Gallardo has allowed 12 runs in his last four starts and the Brewers have not had a great deal of success behind him. J.D. Martin has made just two starts and he has lasted a total of six innings, allowing ten hits and five runs in the process. Washington's bullpen has been decent in recent weeks, but faltered again last night and the Brewers bullpen has been a disaster of late with a 6.09 ERA over the last ten games. Both teams are hitting with Milwaukee batting .289 in the last ten games and Washington batting .284 in the last ten games so the most likely scenario is a high scoring game Thursday afternoon.

San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds
Play San Diego Padres +1½

The San Diego Padres have handled the Reds thus far, and may have their best chance yet in this one. The Reds are short of players and Johny Cueto is pitching about as bad as he has in his brief career, carrying an 8.65 ERA into this one. The Reds are also mired in a deep slump as they have only cashed four of their last 18 games. I'm going with the Padres on the runline in this one.
