Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies
Prediction: Philadelphia Phillies
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Phillies and Braves battle in the oppressive heat in Philadelphia when Jamie Moyer takes the mound Wednesday night for the Phils. Moyer continues to remain in solid KW form with three walks and 20 strikeouts in his last three starts. He's also 4-1 in his last five home team starts and 4-1 in his last five team starts against Atlanta. With that look for Moyer to improve to 10-4 in his last 14 team starts during July here tonight. We recommend a 1-unit play on Philadelphia.

New York Yankees at Oakland Athletics Jul 7 2010 10:05PM
Prediction: Oakland Athletics
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Athletics are 5-0 as a dog vs a team that has won at least their last four games and it is not the first game of a series and 5-0 when Gio Gonzalez starts vs a team that lost their starters last two starts. The Yankees are 0-6 when A.J. Burnett starts after the team won their last two games and 0-5 with Burnett when they won their last three games. Finally, NY is 0-4 in the last game of a three-game road series when they won the first two. The A's are worth a shot.

Kansas City Royals vs. Seattle Mariners
Play: Kansas City Royals

We won with Kansas City in this spot last night and we will go right back with the Royals for the same play but at a much better price. The Royals have been playing real well, going 5-1 over their last six games as well as 9-3 over their last 12 games. The road has not been as good as home but they are a respectable 20-25 in road games on the season. Seattle had been playing much better but it is once again slumping, going 1-5 over its last six games and with the loss last night the Mariners are.500 at home which is far from strong. Kansas City sends Kyle Davies to the hill and he has been a very risky proposition this season with his overall number but Kansas City is 8-8 in his 16 starts and that means money in the pockets as he has netted +4.4 units. Davies went through a rough six-game stretch but he bounced back like a champ, tossing a quality start against the Angels last time out and he can carry that into Wednesday. He has fared well against the Mariners with the exception of one bad game as four of five starts against Seattle have been quality performances including his best start of the season this year where he allowed no runs on one hit in six innings. The Royals are 4-0 in Davies' last four road starts against teams with a losing record and 10-4 in his last 14 road starts overall. The Mariners go with Doug Fister and after a really strong start, some of the luster has worn off. He has been roughed up in his last three outings, posting a 7.71 ERA. That has dropped his season ERA to 3.22 and while still good, the fact that Seattle is just 5-7 in his 12 starts is not. His ERA drops to 2.39 in seven home starts but the Mariners are only 3-4 in those games. He faced the Royals once last season and was hit for five runs in six innings in an 8-4 Seattle loss. The Mariners are just 3-7 in their last 10 home games against teams with a losing record and 0-4 in Fister’s last four starts as a favorite. 3* Kansas City Royals

Cincinnati Reds vs. New York Mets
Play: Cincinnati Reds
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Reds are a solid 8-2 as a road dog from +100 to +125 this year. They are averaging over 5 runs per game on .280 hitting vs leftys this year. Over the past 7 games they are scoring 6 rpg on .300 hitting. The Mets have lost their last 5 times when coming off 1 win. In the pitching matchup the Mets have bright young lefty J. Niese making the start. In his only appearance against the Reds he has allowed 4 runs in 6 innings good for a 6.00 era. Niese has a 3.57 era over his last 3 starts and opposes B. Arroyo tonight. Arroyo has won 7 of 9 road starts this season and has a solid 2/84 era over his past few starts. Last year he pitched a gem here at Citi field. Arroyo went the distance a complete game 4 hit shutout. The Mets have struggled in rubber games this season. Look for the Reds to grab game 3 tonight.

Nick “The BookieKiller” Parsons

Germany @ Spain
PICK: Germany
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
There are many options when wagering on soccer; this play is based off the Greek Sports Book on Germany on the "money line" at +210:

David Villa has five goals in this tournament and he'll be called upon once again by Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque to try and slow down a German side that's brimming with confidence.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Spain defeated Germany in the Euro Championships two years ago; only six players remain from that tournament on this current German team which has been inundated with youth, including; Mesut Oezil, Thomas Mueller, Sami Khedira, Jerome Boateng and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Spain likes to control the ball and the pace of the game, but I believe German coach, Joachim Loew will be ready for it.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
On the other side of the pitch: Miroslav Klose has 14 career goals and is just one shy of equaling Ronaldo as the all-time leader in World Cup history; he had two in Saturday's 4-0 dismantling of Argentina; "I hope Ronaldo isn't worried by it. We chatted after the 2002 World Cup final (where Brazil beat Germany 2-0 thanks to two goals from Ronaldo) and, at that time, I never thought I'd be in this situation," said the Bayern Munich star.

Bottom line: Germany is explosive; the 4-0 destruction of Argentina is the third time this team has scored four goals, which matches Brazil's 1970 record of getting four goal in three different games at the same World Cup.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Loew has been masterful in his game plans thus far as early leads have enabled the Germans to embarrass both sides with precision counter-attacks which left their more experienced opponents looking like novices.

I believe this will be the case once again as Spain will be on its heels trying to deal with the speed of the Germans.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
GERMANY offers great value in this situation.

Jim Feist

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Play: Boston Red Sox

Boston goes with veteran knuckler Tim Wakefield, who is having another fine season, eating innings and providing quality starts. He has a 3.38 ERA his last three starts and for his career he is 20-5 against Tampa Bay. Boston has the top offense in baseball, one that is patient at drawing walks and they can know starters out of the game early with high pitch counts, like they did against Matt Garza in this series. Lefty David Price has a 4.76 ERA against Boston, but is a big favorite here. An excellent spot for the big dog. Play the Red Sox.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Oakland starter Gio Gonzalez has allowed 5 runs total in his last 3 starts. The Athletics are 4-1 in game 3 of a series and they are 5-2 their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning record. The A's are 5-2 when the total is 7.0 to 8.5. New York starter A.J. Burnett has lost his last 6 starts. The Yankees are 1-5 when their opponent scores 2 or less runs in their last game. The Bombers are 0-5 with Burnett as a favorite. Look for Burnett to get lit up again tonight.

Houston Astros -123
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Astros starting pitcher Brian Moehler is pitching better than his 1-4 record and 5.47 ERA for the season would indicate. Moehler has lowered his season ERA from 6.32 to 5.20 over his last three outings as he has posted a 1-1 record and 2.70 ERA during that span. Moehler has actually had five straight quality starts coming into this game and I expect him to pitch well against a Pittsburgh team that actually has a record that is worse than the Astros. Pittsburgh sends a struggling Daniel McCutchen to the mound for this start against Houston. McCutchen is 1-2 with an ERA of 6.60 in his last three starts and those numbers are actually improvements over his 1-3 season record and ERA of 8.87. Opposing batters are batting well over .300 against McCutchen so I expect even the light hitting Astros offense to have success in this game. The Pirates are only 7-19 in the last twenty six meetings with the Astros. Play on Houston.

1 Unit on LA Angels +109
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
After losing the first 2 games of this series, the Angels are primed and ready to bounce back strong tonight. In fact, the Angels are an incredible 21-5 in their last 26 games after losing the first 2 games of a series, and they should be in good hands with the southpaw Saunders on the hill. Right away I like the fact that Chicago is only batting .229 against lefty starters this season. The Angels are 4-1 in Saunders' last 5 starts vs. the White Sox and 21-6 in his last 27 starts during game 3 of a series. Saunders is an impressive 16-6 on the money line when valued as an underdog of +100 to +150 over the last 2 seasons. Garcia is having a great season for the White Sox, but I like LA's chances against the righty. The Halos are batting .263 with a .326 on base percentage against right-handed starters this season. The Angels are 60-26 in their last 86 during game 3 of a series and 10-2 in their last 12 games as an underdog. Take the Halos showing solid value in this bounce back spot.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Oakland A's rock the Yankees tonight and AJ. Burnett is a poor 2-3 with a 4.00 ERA and he can't win on the road, The Yanks rocked the A's last night and Oakland counters with Gio Gonzalez who is 7-5 and a nice 3.50 ERA , He is 3-0 and a smooth 1.54 ERA since June 7th. He is the medicine that the A's need to scratch out a win @ home. Here is a stat that we love tonight!! The AJ. Burnett show is 0-5 and + 11 ERA the last few weeks.

Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Play: Toronto Blue Jays
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Toronto comes into this game off a tough loss against the Twins but they hit the ball very well last night. Kevin Slowey (8-5, 4.57 ERA) takes the mound for the Twins and he has struggled on the road this season with an ERA of 6.11 over 7 starts. Slowey has also struggled against the Blue Jays in the past with an ERA of 6.07 over 5 career starts against them and he has struggled over his last 3 starts with an ERA of 8.56. The Blue Jays send lefty Mark Rzepczynski to the mound making his first start of the season and he pitched great last season with an ERA of just 3.67 over 11 starts. Mark Rzepczynski has also pitched solid in his last 3 starts in AAA Las Vegas with an ERA of just 2.41 so he should be ready to make his 2010 MLB start tonight against the Twins. The Twins are just 1-4 in their last 5 games after a win and they are also just 5-15 in their last 20 games played against the Blue Jays. Take Toronto to pull out the win tonight at home where they are 20-8 in their last 28 games when playing a team that has a losing record on the road.

KC Royals +133
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
My hometown boys are catching some heat, 9-3 their last 12 and they won last night in a late inning thriller. Fister gets the start for the Mariners and has been pounded his last 3 games with a ERA over 7, and lost to the Royals already once this year in an 8-4 game. I like the Royals bullpen and while starter Kyle Davies has been inconsistent (8-8 ytd) for the Royals but looked awesome in his last start against the Angels and I like him tonight in this one to get 6 quality innings and go to a more than decent bullpen. Seattle not a dominant home team, and are 3-7 their last 10 at home. KC hitting .300 as a team against right handers and .290 against southpaws in their last 10 games, and with an improving bullpen, their record reflects this as of late.

Edwin Jackson has turned his season around he was 3-6 then faced the Tigers, a former team, and then Tampa Bay, a former team and he promptly threw a no hitter, and then division rivals LA and beat them too as he is now 6-6. Can he gear up to face the Cubs who aren't in playoff contention? Probably not as much as the others, but he will stay hot and out duel Ryan Dempster for his 4th straight win. Play Arizona
