I'll take the two-time defending AL champions this afternoon with the AL West title on the line.
The Rangers have lost the first two games of this series but shouldn't be counted out as they are 13-3 in their last 16 games after dropping the first two games of a series.
I also like the fact Texas has a veteran on the mound in this spot while the A's bring a rookie to the hill.
The Rangers are 8-3 in Dempster's starts and 4-0 in his last 4 starts when giving him the ball following a team loss. He has been waiting a long time to pitch in meaningful games, and I expect him to come through.
A.J. Griffin has had a tremendous season, but I believe this moment may be too big for him at this stage in his career. Take the Rangers at a nice price.
