MIAMI @ ATLANTA | 04/23 | 7:30 PM EDT
MIAMI -5
ANALYSIS: This is a tough spot for the Hawks with Trae Young (ankle) out. De’Andre Hunter (knee) will join him on the sidelines, while Clint Capela (back) and Danilo Gallinari (foot) are listed as questionable. Capela took a hard fall Wednesday against the Knicks and was having a hard time walking around Thursday, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him sit this out. With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo expected to be available for the Heat, they could win this game handedly.
DENVER @ GOLDEN ST. | 04/23 | 10:00 PM EDT
GOLDEN ST. +2
ANALYSIS: The Warriors have been awful on the road, but they are 17-10 at home. That included them defeating these same Nuggets by nine points at home last week. Kelly Oubre Jr. is back for the Warriors, while the Nuggets are missing their top two point guards in Jamal Murray (knee) and Monte Morris (hamstring). I think the Warriors can win this outright, so give me the points.

N.Y. YANKEES @ CLEVELAND | 04/23 | 7:10 PM EDT
CLEVELAND +1.5
ANALYSIS: No question in my mind that Cleveland could win this game outright against Yankees lefty Jordan Montgomery (1-1, 4.24). He has allowed four earned runs each of the past two outings. Cleveland lefty Logan Allen (1-2, 4.50) isn't much better, but the Yankees are 1-4 vs. southpaws this season and still aren't hitting much even after Thursday's comeback win. New York is 2-6 in its past eight after a victory. Tribe at -130 on the runline are good value.
PHILADELPHIA @ COLORADO | 04/23 | 8:40 PM EDT
COLORADO -115
ANALYSIS: Search "Vince Velasquez" on Twitter and hilarity will ensue with all of the memes, gifs, etc., about how much Phillies fans hate that guy. And he is terrible with a season ERA of 4.85 or worse each year since 2017 (yet he makes millions of dollars). This year, Velasquez has surrendered four runs and walked eight -- control always has been the issue -- in just four innings. He starts for Matt Moore (protocols) on Friday. Good luck in Coors Field! The only reason I'm not taking the Rockies on the runline is because the Philly lineup is better than Colorado's. Getting the Rox at just -115 on the ML is good enough value.
MILWAUKEE @ CHI. CUBS | 04/23 | 2:20 PM EDT
MILWAUKEE +1.5
ANALYSIS: This feels like a "hangover" game for the Cubs off finishing a home sweep of the Mets on Thursday night. I'm a Cubs fan, and I'll freely admit that the Mets essentially handed the Cubbies that series for the most part with their terrible defense. There's also the fact Chicago does have a quick turnaround (may not have closer Craig Kimbrel available), while Milwaukee was off Thursday. Presumed Cubs ace Kyle Hendricks (0-2, 6.92) has not been great, while Brewers lefty Brett Anderson (2-1, 2.65) has surprised. Yes, Chicago is 5-0 vs. lefties, but the bottom five of the team's lineup Friday all look like automatic outs. Thus, we'll go Brewers at -140 on the runline.
OAKLAND @ BALTIMORE | 04/23 | 7:05 PM EDT
BALTIMORE +1.5
ANALYSIS: Can an MLB team have a trap game after a day off? If so, the A's are absolutely set up for one as they begin an East Coast trip on an 11-game winning streak -- how they won the 11th on Wednesday vs. Minnesota was crazy. I'm not saying the Orioles will win here, but getting a decent home team at just -135 on the runline is too good to pass up. A's starter Cole Irvin (1-2, 4.60) is just meh. Baltimore's Jorge Lopez (1-2, 8.56) has ugly numbers but was solid last time out.
PHILADELPHIA @ N.Y. RANGERS | 04/23 | 7:00 PM EDT
N.Y. RANGERS -160
ANALYSIS: Thursday was a weird night around the NHL, and I took a beating. We'll get it back. The Flyers were one of several underdogs to win, upsetting the Rangers behind a terrific effort from netminder Brian Elliott. Well, he's not playing in the second of a B2B and the Philly No. 2, Carter Hart, is out injured. It will be Alex Lyon in net, and he's a 28-year-old journeyman with a 4.40 GAA in two appearances this season. This should be easy for the Blueshirts.

OAKLAND @ BALTIMORE | 04/23 | 7:05 PM EDT
OAKLAND -130
ANALYSIS: The A's have won 11 straight and had a day off to recover from their 13-12 thriller against Minnesota on Wednesday. In their five previous games, they allowed a total of two runs. Tonight they face Orioles right-hander Jorge Lopez, who sports an 8.56 ERA. Even though A's lefty Cole Irvin is far from dominating, he's facing a much weaker lineup. The price is cheap. Back Oakland to keep winning.

L.A. ANGELS @ HOUSTON | 04/23 | 8:10 PM EDT
HOUSTON -135
ANALYSIS: Andrew Heaney is just 1-1 with a 5.65 ERA this season and he faces Zack Greinke in Houston tonight. Greinke is 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA and the Astros crush left handed pitching to the fourth best OPS in the league. The Angels are still without some key players including Anthony Rendon, and Mike Trout could be out tonight after getting hit by a pitch in the arm last night. The Astros play much better at home despite their record, take the Astros.
SEATTLE @ BOSTON | 04/23 | 7:10 PM EDT
BOSTON -130
ANALYSIS: This is a battle of southpaws between Yusei Kikuchi and Martin Perez. The Mariners have the third worst OPS in the league against lefties this season, and the Red Sox only allowed three hits last night, despite taking the loss. Both teams are seriously overperforming right now, but the Mariners only have four hits in their last two games, and eight in their last three games. Scoring and winning this much without hitting is unsustainable, and the Red Sox score over five runs per game including the fourth most runs scored against lefties this season.
KANSAS CITY @ DETROIT | 04/23 | 7:10 PM EDT
KANSAS CITY -111
ANALYSIS: The Tigers have the worst OPS in the league against lefties this season, and they are facing Mike Minor tonight. Casey Mize has pitched well to start the season although he hasn’t completely found his command yet. He allowed two walks in each of his first two starts, then three home runs in his most recent start. If the Royals can get to him, they get the worst bullpen in the league in the Tigers. Take the value in the Royals.
OAKLAND @ BALTIMORE | 04/23 | 7:05 PM EDT
OAKLAND -130
ANALYSIS: The Athletics have now won 11 games in a row and most importantly, they had the day off yesterday to regroup and fly east. They get an Orioles team who is 2-11 against the Athletics in the last 14 games straight up, although they haven’t matched up since 2019. Cole Irvin is starting for the Athletics after his best outing as a starter, going six scoreless innings against the Tigers. He faces an Orioles team that is 20th in the league in OPS against lefties. Jorge Lopez is 1-2 with an 8.56 ERA for the Orioles, and he has allowed five home runs in 13.2 IP. Look for the Athletics to take advantage of him early.
MINNESOTA @ LOS ANGELES | 04/23 | 10:00 PM EDT
MINNESOTA -160
ANALYSIS: The Wild have won five games in a row including two in a row on the road in Arizona. They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and they face the Kings who are 8-9-4 at home this season. Cam Talbot is expected to start, it looks like he has been playing three games out of four games and this would be his third straight. He is 16-6-3 this season with a 2.34 GAA. The Wild are 5-2 against the Kings this season, take the Wild while they’re hot.

BOSTON @ BROOKLYN | 04/23 | 7:30 PM EDT
BROOKLYN -185
ANALYSIS: We backed Boston to upset the visiting Suns on Thursday because Phoenix was in the second of a back-to-back -- and that's why we will go with Brooklyn here. The Celtics played without Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams on Thursday and neither will go here. Plus, Kemba Walker will sit out because he has yet to play both ends of a B2B this season. Kevin Durant might return for Brooklyn, but I like the Nets regardless.
