MILWAUKEE @ BROOKLYN | 06/05 | 7:30 PM EDT
BROOKLYN -175
ANALYSIS: In my opinion, the winner of this series wins the NBA title. This should be fantastic offensive basketball as the clubs combined to average nearly 240 points per game during the regular season. That's tied for the most between teams to meet in a playoff series in the past 50 years (see news feed). Milwaukee won the season series 2-1, but the Nets never had their entire Big 3 in any of those. I also think the season-ending injury to Bucks starting guard Donte DiVincenzo is going to really start to hurt. The Nets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games as home favorites and the Bucks have lost eight straight ATS as dogs.

Game: (915) Detroit Tigers at (916) Chicago White Sox
Date/Time: Jun 5 2021 2:10 PM EDT
Betting Line Provider: Consensus Line
Play Rating: 4 units
Play: Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-125) T Skubal (LHP), L Giolito (RHP) Must Start

As we look to bounce back on Saturday we have a situation that has been great to us over the past month. The White Sox are facing a left handed pitcher. If you’re a new client, Chicago has absolutely stellar stats against lefties, and we look to bet on them quite often in these situations. Detroit has lost 3 of 4, including the first 2 games of this series. They’ll send Tarik Skubal to the mound Saturday. Skubal currently has a 4.59 ERA. Lucas Giolito has been fantastic, not allowing more than 1 earned run in 4 of his last 5 starts. Chicago has won 7 of 9 and they scored 9 runs Friday night. Take the White Sox run line.
Line Parameter: 4 units at -130 or lower, 3 units at higher than -130

HOUSTON @ TORONTO | 06/05 | 3:07 PM EDT
HOUSTON +1.5
ANALYSIS: Toronto is really tough to beat in Buffalo -- although Houston romped there Friday -- but I have to take the runline value here on Houston behind Jose Urquidy (4-2, 3.02) over Ross Stripling (1-3, 5.11). Urquidy is 4-0 with a 1.53 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in his last five starts and Houston has won all five.

CAROLINA @ TAMPA BAY | 06/05 | 4:00 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -160
ANALYSIS: OK, the Hurricanes got their game and they will stick with Petr Mrazek in goal. However, wingers Vincent Trocheck and Warren Foegele are in doubt. The former missed Game 3 and the latter was hurt in it. That's potentially a lot of lost firepower on top of Nino Niederreiter for sure out again. Bolts goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy simply doesn't have back-to-back bad games -- especially at home. Tampa takes a 3-1 series lead. I will say it wouldn't be the worst idea to hedge here on the Hurricanes puckline. Could potentially win twice.

FEATURED PICK
N.Y. METS @ SAN DIEGO | 06/05 | 10:10 PM EDT
UNDER 6
ANALYSIS: This total seems low on the surface, but consider that this total is higher than the average amount of runs scored in Jacob deGrom’s starts this season (5.37 runs per game). With deGrom pitching in a pitcher-friendly park against a quality opposing starter, there is still value. New York was shut out in a 2-0 loss yesterday, with just three hits. The Under is 6-0 since April 23 when the Mets are a favorite after they had six or fewer hits in their most recent game.

MILWAUKEE @ BROOKLYN | 06/05 | 7:30 PM EDT
MILWAUKEE +4
ANALYSIS: The Bucks looked impressive in the first round, quickly dispatching the Heat. The addition of Jrue Holiday has been huge for them, and his defense could be key in this series. The problem for the Nets is that Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving didn’t have a lot of time to play together during the regular season because of injuries. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bucks win Game 1 outright, so I’ll take the points.

L.A. DODGERS @ ATLANTA | 06/05 | 7:15 PM EDT
ATLANTA +115
ANALYSIS: Clayton Kershaw will face the Braves for the first time since last season’s Game 4 loss in the NLCS. He’s coming off his worst start of the season in which he allowed five runs in six innings against the Giants. The outing marked four games in a row in which he has surrendered a home run, which is a main factor into today’s short price. Back the home underdog here in the Braves.

MILWAUKEE @ BROOKLYN | 06/05 | 7:30 PM EDT
BROOKLYN -4
ANALYSIS: In the postseason time and again teams with more rest struggle in Game 1. Look for that to be the case for the Bucks who has had seven full days off since their sweep of Miami. Furthermore, they have not been challenged in two full weeks since their overtime Game 1 victory over Miami. Take the Nets.

BOSTON @ N.Y. YANKEES | 06/05 | 7:15 PM EDT
BOSTON +110
ANALYSIS: The Yankees are 0-4 against divisional opponents with pitcher Jameson Taillon on the mound. Expect Boston to finally deliver some run support for pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez, as they’ve been outscored 29-5 his last four starts. Take the Red Sox to drop the Yankees to 3-9 over their last 12 games.

BOSTON @ N.Y. YANKEES | 06/05 | 7:15 PM EDT
UNDER 9.5
ANALYSIS: The Under is 10-0 with Eduardo Rodriguez as a dog when the Red Sox lost in his last start. The Under also is 8-0 with the Yankees as a home favorite in the second game of a series when they scored in fewer innings than their opponent in the series opener, and it is before the All-Star break.

N.Y. METS @ SAN DIEGO | 06/05 | 10:10 PM EDT
OVER 6
ANALYSIS: The Over is 9-0 when the Mets start Jacob deGrom on the road and won in his last start against their opponent. The Over also is 9-0 when the line is within 20 cents of pick 'em, the Padres are off a game as a favorite, they are off two wins in which they never trailed and it is not the first game of a series.

OAKLAND @ COLORADO | 06/05 | 9:10 PM EDT
OAKLAND -130
ANALYSIS: The Rockies are 0-9 as a dog off a home game in which they had 12-plus hits. The Athletics are 11-0 as a favorite off a road game when their opponent’s starter has a strike-per-ball ratio less than 1.616 on the season, and it is before the All-Star break, winning by an average of 5.55 runs per game.

DETROIT @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 06/05 | 2:10 PM EDT
CHI. WHITE SOX -216
ANALYSIS: The White Sox are 10-0 when Lucas Giolito starts as a favorite and he went six-plus innings gave up three or fewer runs in his last start and the White Sox won. The Tigers are 0-13 on the road when their opponent’s starting pitcher has same-season revenge.

N.Y. METS @ SAN DIEGO | 06/05 | 10:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -105
ANALYSIS: I hate betting against the Padres, but I don’t ever get a chance to bet Jacob deGrom this cheap as the Mets have won his last three starts and five of his last six with the bullpen not imploding once he leaves. He’s going to love Petco Park. Did I mention he’s given up only four earned runs this season in his eight starts, with no more than one earned run allowed in any game? Mets to win.

L.A. DODGERS @ ATLANTA | 06/05 | 7:15 PM EDT
L.A. DODGERS -125
ANALYSIS: Charlie Morton has been much better recently, but he still has a 4.26 ERA this season. Clayton Kershaw is 7-4 with a 3.33 ERA this season and he has actually been better on the road this season. The Braves struggle against lefties and the Dodgers have the second highest OPS in the league against righties. The Braves are just 15-17 at home this season and 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Dodgers are finally healthy with Bellinger and Pollock back among others, take the Dodgers.

MINNESOTA @ KANSAS CITY | 06/05 | 4:10 PM EDT
KANSAS CITY +101
ANALYSIS: Mike Minor has been solid this season going 4-2 with a 4.65 ERA and he pitched at least five innings every game in May. The Royals have won five straight games while the Twins have lost four straight. The Twins are 10-18 on the road while the Royals are 16-13 at home. The Twins have the starting pitching advantage in Jose Berrios but that just gives the Royals good value tonight.

TAMPA BAY @ TEXAS | 06/05 | 4:05 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -145
ANALYSIS: Rich Hill has been exceptional recently and he won AL Pitcher of the Month for May. He allowed just three runs in 34.2 IP. Kolby Allard will be making his second start of the season after allowing two runs on two home runs in his first start. The Rays are much better on the road and the Rays have some hot bats right now while the Rangers struggle against lefties. Take the Rays on the road.

BOSTON @ N.Y. ISLANDERS | 06/05 | 7:15 PM EDT
N.Y. ISLANDERS +130
ANALYSIS: The Islanders lost in OT in Game 3 on a Brad Marchand shot from a wicked angle but Semyon Varlamov had an unreal game up until then. The Islanders were able to tie it late in the game at 1-1 but were unable to pull out the game in OT. The Islanders were one of the best teams in the league at home this season. I think the Islanders will be able to score at home tonight, and the Coliseum will be rockin. Take the value in the Islanders to even the series 2-2.

CAROLINA @ TAMPA BAY | 06/05 | 4:00 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -160
ANALYSIS: The Lightning lost Game 3 in OT after going up in the series 2-0. They will not want another opportunity to go up in the series at home. The Canes were a worse season on the road all season and I have a hard time thinking they will win both games in Tampa. The Canes have had a hard time scoring all series and I don’t see that changing. Take the Lightning at home.
