ANALYSIS: Martin Perez day in Texas and he is probably the front runner for Cy Young right now along with Nestor Cortes Jr. Perez was 4-0 with a 0.64 ERA in May and he has now made eight straight starts pitching at least six innings while allowing one run or fewer. George Kirby pitched really well in his last start but he is still a rookie and very inconsistent. The Rangers had been one of the best teams in the league in May and pretty much their whole bullpen is available today. I like the Rangers at home.

ANALYSIS: As Ive mentioned before, were going to keep fading the Angels until they win. Patrick Sandoval starts for the Angels today and he had been pitching well this season, but he was lit up in his last start. The Phillies also hit lefties much harder than they do righties. Kyle Gibson has been very consistent this season, he really only had one bad start and that is understandable because it was at the Dodgers. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Joe Maddon give someone like Mike Trout the day off before flying home tonight, he’s been struggling and could use a day. All the Angels batters have been forcing it lately. The Phillies found a reliable trio in Brad Hand, Seranthony Dominguez and Corey Knebel if this game is close while the Angels bullpen has struggled in the few times they’ve had the lead lately. I like the Phillies to sweep.

ANALYSIS: Braxton Garrett is making his first start of the season and he really didn’t have much success whenever he pitched in 2021. Jazz Chisholm Jr. is out of the lineup for the Marlins while the Giants are able to platoon against the lefty in Garrett then put their normal lineup in for matchups to finish the game. Jake Junis has pitched very well this season as well. I like the Giants to win this series.
