TEXAS A&M-CC 140
ANALYSIS: I am very surprised to see the Islanders being the underdogs here. They have been playing great and they are very comfortable playing away from home. They are 17-3 ATS away from home, including 9-2 ATS as underdogs away from home. In March, teams need a standout player. The Tigers don’t have a single player averaging double digit points while the Islanders have three players averaging more points than the leading scorer for the Tigers. I am expecting the star power of the Islanders to lead them to a win.

LOS ANGELES +1.5
ANALYSIS: My model says the Kings cover in almost 70 percent of the simulations, so you're getting excellent value with them at this number. Los Angeles has won nine of its last 13 contests, and two of its four losses in that span were by one goal. Meanwhile, the Avalanche have four of their last six games, with one of their two victories in that stretch being by a single goal. Colorado is 2-3-0 in its last five on the road, and both wins were one-goal triumphs. Take the Kings +1.5 goals at -150.

INDIANA -4
ANALYSIS: The Cowboys had a great season but they struggle versus elite defensive clubs like Indiana. Wyoming lost five of its last nine games; all the defeats were by six-plus points. Hoosiers point guard Xavier Johnson has been incredible the past eight games, averaging 18 points and seven assists, and Mike Woodson has the backcourt depth he needs with Trey Galloway and Rob Phinisee finally healthy. Lay the points.
TEXAS A&M-CC @ TEXAS SO. | 03/15 | 6:40 PM EDT
TEXAS A&M-CC +3.5
ANALYSIS: SWAC champ Texas Southern is back in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year, while Texas A&M Corpus Christi hasn't been here since 2006-07. The Tigers play stingy defense, allowing 39 percent shooting overall and 31 percent from deep. But I like the Southland-champion Islanders, led by former Purdue assistant Steve Lutz, to hang around and possibly win outright. They're a veteran club with a balanced attack, and they're relentless on the glass (14.2 offensive rebounds per game, plus 4.7-rebounding margin). Back Texas A&M Corpus Christi to improve to 11-3 ATS in its last 14 as a dog.

TEXAS SO. -170
ANALYSIS: I've been on Texas Southern often this season after the Tigers shockingly won at Florida early, the first-ever win by a SWAC school against a ranked SEC foe. I also think that TSU played in the First Four last year -- and won -- is an advantage over Big Dance newbie A&M-CC. The Islanders rank 269th nationally in 2-point shooting percentage (47.3) and 277th from 3-point range (31.6), and Texas Southern is a good defensive team.

TEXAS SO. -3.5
ANALYSIS: Texas Southern had its ups and downs throughout conference play, but had one of the more difficult non-conference schedules outside of the Power 5. One on their key wins was over Florida. The Tigers also have the experience from last year’s play-in game, in which they defeated Mount St. Mary’s. Consider buying the half point down to three as Texas Southern survives a close battle with Texas A&M CC.

OREGON @ UTAH ST. | 03/15 | 9:00 PM EDT
UTAH ST. -4.5
ANALYSIS: From a power rating standpoint, Utah State was one of the best teams left out of the NCAA Tournament, and tonight the Aggies will be Oregon's problem. Don't forget that the schools host the first rounds of the NIT, so the Aggies are at home tonight against an Oregon squad still missing Will Richardson. It's also an Oregon team that has lost seven of 10 to limp to the finish line. Utah State's better offensively, defensively, on the glass, at the FT line, and basically everywhere you want to look.
INDIANA @ WYOMING | 03/15 | 9:10 PM EDT
WYOMING +4
ANALYSIS: The Cowboys bring plenty of size to this fight, with five players who are at least 6'7 seeing regular time in the rotation. That size is why the Cowboys can get to the free-throw line so consistently (their 37% free-throw rate ranks 33rd nationally) and why they shoot so well on the interior (their 54.5% shooting percentage inside the arc ranks 32nd). That could cause problems for an Indiana team that is sound defensively but lacks size on the interior after Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson. This feels like a tough, lower-scoring game that will come down to the final possessions, so I'll happily take four points with Wyoming.

ST. BONA. @ COLORADO | 03/15 | 11:00 PM EDT
COLORADO -4
ANALYSIS: This is a tall task for a Bonnies squad that went 4-10 ATS on the road and only covered once in five attempts as an underdog. Bottom line, this is a bad spot for them. Add in that they're going to Colorado to play in the elevation and at 11pm Eastern. This might be tough and we saw they faltered a bit early in the year. I think that's probably who they really are, especially on the road. I like the home court advantage here too much to pass it up. Lay it.
BELMONT @ VANDERBILT | 03/15 | 7:00 PM EDT
VANDERBILT -3.5
ANALYSIS: I love the NIT because the books are not looking at this tournament or any of the other smaller ones nearly as much. That means nice edges and this is one of them. I'm projecting a 6 point Vandy win here. Belmont couldn't hang with Murray either time they played recently and I think Vanderbilt coming out of the SEC will give them similar trouble. This one appears likely to get to two possessions, lay the points with the Commodores.

DETROIT @ EDMONTON | 03/15 | 9:00 PM EDT
EDMONTON -260
ANALYSIS: I would obviously knock this down to regulation (or play with the Capitals) but hard to see the Oilers losing at home as Detroit has lost five straight games and not been all that competitive in most of them. The Wings also are without two of their best offensive players in Tyler Bertuzzi (unvaccinated so can't play in Canada) and Robby Fabbri (likely done for season). Edmonton's Mikko Koskinen has a 2.18 GAA in five games this month and has won his past four at home overall. The Oilers are the only team that is undefeated when scoring first this season (18-0-0) and the only team undefeated when leading after the first period (17-0-0).
N.Y. ISLANDERS @ WASHINGTON | 03/15 | 7:00 PM EDT
WASHINGTON -145
ANALYSIS: I like backing the Islanders when Ilya Sorokin is in net and at home but generally fade them when it's Semyon Varlamov anywhere, and that's the case tonight in DC. He has just one win in his past seven outings and is 1-3 with a 3.39 GAA on the road. Washington's Vitek Vanecek is riding a four-game winning streak during which he has posted a 2.24 GAA and .930 save percentage. The Isles are 1-6 in their past seven as road dogs and have lost four straight at Washington.

TEXAS ST. @ NORTH TEXAS | 03/15 | 8:00 PM EDT
UNDER 118.5
ANALYSIS: North Texas allowed only 55 points per game, which led the nation. The Mean Green possess a stingy defense and an offense that uses almost the entire shot clock on most trips down the court. They suffered a 42-35 setback against Louisiana Tech in the Conference-USA tournament on Friday. Texas State have allowed an average of only 62 points this season. As low as that total is, with the Bobcats going 20-8 to the Under this season, this number is still too high. The Under is the top play.
INDIANA @ WYOMING | 03/15 | 9:10 PM EDT
INDIANA -4
ANALYSIS: I bet Indiana in this game not only because of its crashing the Big Ten Tournament party last week but more because Wyoming has been dragging the last four weeks after an amazing first two-thirds of the season when the Cowboys took smart shots. They have lost five of their last nine and now have to travel more than 1,200 miles to Dayton to play a Hoosiers squad that has come full circle and looks like the confident bunch that started 6-0. Indiana to cover.

INDIANA @ WYOMING | 03/15 | 9:10 PM EDT
WYOMING +4
ANALYSIS: The Cowboys are back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015, this time in the play-in game against Indiana as a No. 12 seed. I like how Wyoming matches up with Indiana, as they can counter Indiana's best player, 6-foot-9 Trayce Jackson-Davis, with their own big man, Graham Ike. Checking in at 6-foot-9 and 252 pounds, Ike is averaging 19.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. The Cowboys also have senior guard Hunter Maldonado, a player who can do it all. Maldonado is averaging 18.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Indiana also shoots under 70% from the free-throw line as a team, so with a close spread like this, I love the fact that Wyoming is getting over one full possession of points.
