NEW YORK @ NEW ORLEANS | 04/14 | 8:00 PM EDT
UNDER 220.5
ANALYSIS: This will be Zion Williamson's first-ever game against the Knicks -- that fan base was crushed when New York didn't win the 2019 draft lottery and New Orleans jumped up. The Knicks lead the NBA in allowing just 104.2 points per game, and 71 percent of my model simulations have this game finishing Under the total of 220.5 points.
L.A. ANGELS @ KANSAS CITY | 04/14 | 2:10 PM EDT
OVER 9
ANALYSIS: Conclusion of a three-game series between these clubs in Kansas City on Wednesday, and the scheduled starting pitching matchup is Griffin Canning (0-0, 6.75 ERA) for the Angels and Brad Keller (0-1, 19.29 ERA) of the Royals. Looking at those two ERAs, not a huge surprise that 60 percent of my model simulations land Over this total of 9 runs.

ARIZONA @ MINNESOTA | 04/14 | 2:00 PM EDT
MINNESOTA -196
ANALYSIS: We get rare Wednesday afternoon hockey. There is a curfew in the Twin Cities due to unrest there, so this was moved to a 2 p.m. ET start time from a usual night puck drop. The Wild are the better team as it is and will welcome back winger Kevin Fiala -- he missed Saturday and probably would have missed Monday's postponed matchup vs. St. Louis due to injury. Fiala has 14 goals and 25 points in 36 games. Arizona enters on a four-game skid and is at the end of a very long road trip. This should be a rout. The Yotes have dropped their past four at Minnesota.

COLORADO @ L.A. DODGERS | 04/14 | 10:10 PM EDT
L.A. DODGERS -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Dodgers won the opener 7-0 and I think they keep pouring it on here. Dustin May owns a 2.31 career ERA versus the Rockies. Jon Gray has been outstanding so far for the Rockies, but he's 1-5 with a 6.84 ERA in six career starts at Dodger Stadium. Seven of the Dodgers' nine wins have come by at least two runs. Play the Dodgers -1.5 runs at -125.
N.Y. YANKEES @ TORONTO | 04/14 | 1:07 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -130
ANALYSIS: These pitchers faced off April 3, the Yankees winning 5-3. Blue Jays starter Ross Stripling is 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA lifetime versus New York. In that first matchup, the Yanks produced seven hits, two walks and three earned runs against Stripling in 3.1 innings. After a frustrating offensive night Tuesday, in which the Yanks hit into three double plays and had a runner picked off with the tying run at the plate, I'll back New York to bounce back and take the rubber game.

CLEVELAND @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 04/14 | 8:10 PM EDT
UNDER 7.5
ANALYSIS: Yesterday's game was a matchup of the two best pitchers in baseball, and it did not disappoint. But the pitching matchup tonight is quite strong as well. With both teams' offenses frustrated from yesterday, I do not see either breaking out in this game. Chicago is the slight home favorite in this game at 5-6 on the season looking up at the 6-4 Indians in the standings. The Under is 7-0 since June 30, 2019, when the White Sox are the home favorite and playing a team that has a better record.

WASHINGTON @ SACRAMENTO | 04/14 | 10:00 PM EDT
WASHINGTON -1.5
ANALYSIS: Things are rough right now for the Kings, who have lost seven straight. Buddy Hield (illness) is listed as questionable for this contest, but maybe the biggest potential loss will be that of Richaun Holmes (hamstring), who is listed as doubtful. He’s only missed four games this season, but the Kings lost each of them by at least eight points. Add in Russell Westbrook being on fire right now, and I’ll take the Wizards to cover this small line.

CALGARY @ MONTREAL | 04/14 | 7:00 PM EDT
MONTREAL -150
ANALYSIS: It's the second of a back-to-back for Calgary, which was a 3-2 OT upset winner in Toronto on Tuesday -- thus, the Flames will either start a potentially tired Jacob Markstrom in net in this game or a very shaky backup after trading former No. 2 David Rittich to the Leafs ahead of Monday's deadline. The Flames are 1-6 in their past seven in the second of a B2B. Montreal is on regular rest and without No. 1 goaltender Carey Price, but Jake Allen is essentially a 1A. The home team is 4-1 in the past five meetings.

BOSTON @ MINNESOTA | 04/14 | 2:10 PM EDT
BOSTON +130
ANALYSIS: I think the Red Sox are good underdog value here behind ace Nathan Eovaldi (1-1, 1.46) even though the Twins are starting their ace in Kenta Maeda (1-0, 2.61). Eovaldi has allowed one or zero runs in six straight starts, while Maeda has looked just OK so far this year. It's the first game of a doubleheader, and thus only seven innings. Minnesota is resting two of its best hitters in outfielder Byron Buxton and catcher Mitch Garver -- plus starting shortstop Andrelton Simmons landed on the injured list Wednesday. Boston appears to be starting its key guys in the opener.
CHI. CUBS @ MILWAUKEE | 04/14 | 1:40 PM EDT
UNDER 7.5
ANALYSIS: Two very good starting pitchers in the Cubs' Jake Arrieta (2-0, 2.25) and the Brewers' Corbin Burnes (0-1, 0.73). Both are capable of shutouts, and Milwaukee never seems to score much when Burnes is on the mound. The Brewers also are without two starting outfielders in former NL MVP Christian Yelich (day-to-day) and Lorenzo Cain (landed on IL). The Cubs, meanwhile, aren't hitting at all ... yet managed to burn me Tuesday night in Milwaukee thanks to a late Willson Contreras homer. Chicago is giving both Contreras and Kris Bryant this one off. Thus, we like the Under.
SAN ANTONIO @ TORONTO | 04/14 | 7:30 PM EDT
SAN ANTONIO -190
ANALYSIS: I stupidly backed the Raptors on Tuesday against a very short-handed Hawks team, but I'm not doing that 24 hours later as Toronto will remain without both Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet and has now ruled out Gary Trent Jr., too. Thus, it will be a completely anonymous backcourt. San Antonio is on normal rest and healthy for the most part. DeMar DeRozan (assuming he plays; no reason he wouldn't as it's not part of a B2B for the Spurs) usually has big games against his former Toronto team.
N.Y. YANKEES @ TORONTO | 04/14 | 1:07 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -125
ANALYSIS: Yankees starter Corey Kluber (0-1, 5.68) is nowhere near his former two-time Cy Young-winning form, but he was solid vs. Toronto (4 IP, 1 ER) in his season debut before being not quite as good last time out at Tampa Bay. The Jays have scratched starting pitcher Ross Stripling and will go with T.J. Zeuch (0-1, 3.68). Keep in mind the Jays currently don't have much of a home-field advantage playing in Dunedin, Fla. This probably will come down to the bullpens, and the Yankees' is much better. Toronto closer Julian Merryweather exited Tuesday's win with left hip irritation and presumably won't be available here.
