Habs No. 1 netminder Carey Price stopped all seven shots in the opening 20 minutes but didn’t come out after the intermission and will miss at least a week in concussion protocols. So that presumably means Jake Allen again Wednesday, and he has been a bit shaky of late -- including allowing three of the four goals Monday. The Canadiens are now 3-10 in their last 13 road games.

The Hawks are dealing with injuries to Danilo Gallinari (foot), De’Andre Hunter (knee) and Tony Snell (ankle), who all are in jeopardy of missing Wednesday's contest. I think the Knicks keep their winning streak alive.

ANALYSIS: The Raptors are finally looking healthy for once with Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby all expected to play in this game. The same can’t be said for the Nets, who are still without James Harden (hamstring). Kevin Durant (thigh) is also questionable to play. With the Nets having just played Tuesday, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kyrie Irving get the night off for rest, either. If he does sit out, this line could move dramatically in the Raptors’ favor. I’ll take a chance and lock it in now.

ANALYSIS: How on earth are the A's home underdogs on a 10-game winning streak and about to sweep a struggling Twins team down two regulars in shortstop Andrelton Simmons and outfielder Max Kepler? Minnesota also could be without slugger Miguel Sano after he left the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with a hamstring issue. The Twins do start a very good pitcher in Kenta Maeda (1-1, 3.07), but I'll gladly take Oakland on the runline at -170 while I can get it -- some books have the A's as ML favorites so the +1.5 wouldn't be available -- behind Frankie Montas (2-1, 4.91). He has been excellent the past two times out.

The Pirates have been playing sneaky well to start the season and they are 6-4 in their last 10 games, while the Tigers are coming into this game having lost four in a row and seven of 10. Michael Fulmer has actually looked good this season but if the Pirates get to him, they get one of the worst bullpens in the league. Take the Pirates at plus money in the first game of the doubleheader.

ANALYSIS: The Oilers just beat the Canadiens 4-1 at home on Monday, and they get they again at home but this time without Carey Price who was injured during that game. Jake Allen will get the start after relieving Price in the first game and allowing three goals. The Canadiens have actually owned this series this season, winning four of six games, which is why were getting such good value. However, the Oilers have won two in a row and six of 10 while the Canadiens have lost two in a row and seven of 10.

ANALYSIS: Carlos Martinez has started three games this season, and he has allowed 13 earned runs in 15 IP overall. The Cardinals are 0-3 in games he has started while the Nats get Max Scherzer today. Juan Soto is out, but the Cards were strategically pitching around him this series before he was hurt. Take the value in Scherzer at home.

ANALYSIS: The Athletics have now won 10 straight games after starting the season 1-7 and have vaulted into first in the division. They get Frankie Montas starting today, who has looked like his old self his last couple starts allowing just one run in 12 innings. The Twins start their ace in Kenta Maeda, he has not allowed more than two runs in any start, but he also has only made it through five innings once. The Twins were struggling to hit before they had a three-day layoff, and we can see it didn’t help much as they didn’t score a run yesterday and it only hurt their defense by forcing Willians Astudillo to play Second Base. Take the As.
