MONTREAL @ N.Y. RANGERS | 04/27 | 7:30 PM EDT
MONTREAL +1.5
ANALYSIS: Honestly, it might be worth a shot on Canadiens +300 on the moneyline for this one Wednesday but since even the puckline is plus money (+120) I'll stick with that -- although I reserve the right to come back on the ML on Wednesday if New York rules a bunch of guys out. Which I think it may well do because the Rangers are now locked into their playoff seeding following Tuesday's loss to Carolina. Less than zero reason to play any key guys in this game or the finale Friday.

PHILADELPHIA @ WINNIPEG | 04/27 | 7:30 PM EDT
WINNIPEG -180
ANALYSIS: Wednesday game. Winnipeg is better anyways -- and 5-2 in its past seven as a favorite -- but the Flyers probably mail this in completely having to go to Canada in their last road game and ahead of their home finale Friday. Philly already has shut half of its roster down.

BALTIMORE @ N.Y. YANKEES | 04/27 | 7:05 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Yankees homered five times in Tuesday's 12-8 win over Baltimore, their sixth victory in seven games. They've scored 22 runs in their past two games Now they face converted reliever Tyler Wells, who shut them down over four innings 10 days ago. Despite that sterling outing, Wells sports a 6.75 ERA with two homers and four walks allowed over eight innings. I expect New York's revitalized attack to have a lot more success in its second crack at Wells. Look for the Yankees' Jordan Montgomery to turn in another strong start and back New York -1.5 runs at -125.

SEATTLE @ TAMPA BAY | 04/27 | 6:40 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -140
ANALYSIS: Drew Rasmussen is starting and he has been very solid this season. The Rays are also ranked 4th in the league in wOBA against lefties this season. Marco Gonzales has been very hit or miss and he’s struggled against teams that are tough against lefties. The Mariners hit lefties really well but they struggle in wOBA against righties ranked much worse at 9th overall. The Mariners were the beneficiaries of a couple crucial errors last night that lost them the game, I think the Rays will have much more success tonight.

N.Y. METS @ ST. LOUIS | 04/27 | 1:15 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS 110
ANALYSIS: Getting in my last plays before I head out, the Cardinals need a win here bad to avoid losing the series. They have Steven Matz pitching against one of his former teams in the Mets, and he has pitched well to start this season despite his first start. The Mets are ranked 17th in the league in wOBA against lefties. The Cardinals had a tough task facing Max Scherzer then Chris Bassitt back to back. Carlos Carrasco has been pitching well but he’s neither of those other two. The Cardinals bullpen is better than the Mets and they should be able to salvage this home series.

OAKLAND @ SAN FRANCISCO | 04/27 | 9:45 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO -175
ANALYSIS: Sam Long is expected to be the opener today for Jake Junis who didn’t allow a run in 5 IP in his first appearance. Paul Blackburn has been pitching very well but the Giants are ranked 8th in the league against righties in wOBA. The Athletics are ranked in the bottom 5 in wOBA overall. The Giants also have the 2nd best ranked bullpen in the league while the As are ranked just 16th. It’s a little juicier than I had hoped, but I still think this should be in the -180 to -200 range.

N.Y. METS @ ST. LOUIS | 04/27 | 1:15 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS +1.5
ANALYSIS: Wow, as good as the Mets might be, I struggle to see the Cardinals being swept at home. New York closer Edwin Diaz probably isn't available after finishing the previous two games. It's former Mets lefty Steven Matz on the mound and while he has been meh so far (actually good in past two outings after a lousy debut), New York's splits are much worse against southpaws, and the Mets are resting regulars Jeff McNeil and James McCann ... I'm surprised Pete Alonso is playing after taking a pitch off the head Tuesday. The Cards may well win but I'll take the runline at -160.

L.A. DODGERS @ ARIZONA | 04/27 | 3:40 PM EDT
L.A. DODGERS -180
ANALYSIS: This is about the limit of where I probably will go this season on a road team (I will never do -1.5 on a runline for a road team), but it's very tough to see the Dodgers lose back-to-back games to the Diamondbacks as they have utterly dominated the series since 2020. LA starter Julio Urias has 7-1 record across nine games (six starts) with a 1.55 ERA and 38 strikeouts against just six walks in his career vs. the Snakes. Arizona appears to be resting a few regulars.

MIAMI @ WASHINGTON | 04/27 | 7:05 PM EDT
MIAMI -145
ANALYSIS: The Nationals have lost six straight while the Marlins have won three straight and have their best starter, Pablo Lopez (2-0, 0.52 ERA), on the mound on Wednesday. This is a good spot to side with Miami as both teams are going in opposite directions. The Marlins have won all three of Lopez’s starts. Marlins to win.

KANSAS CITY @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 04/27 | 2:10 PM EDT
UNDER 7
ANALYSIS: Last season, the Under was 14-5 when the Royals and White Sox met. We have two great pitchers in Zack Greinke and Dylan Cease in this matchup. Greinke owns a 2.25 ERA in his three starts for the Royals this year. Cease struggled in his last outing in Cleveland but did well in his first two starts of the season. Cease faced the Royals five times in 2021, and the Under was 4-1. Only six runs were scored in Tuesday's contest, so I expect another low-scoring game.

HOUSTON @ TEXAS | 04/27 | 8:05 PM EDT
HOUSTON -120
ANALYSIS: The Astros will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time since April 10-12. On the mound will be Cristian Javier, who has not gone beyond four innings in any of his first three starts. Additionally, Houston lost all three of those games. That’s a value angle on a price that’s dropped steadily from the -125 to -130 range. Take the Astros as they hit Glenn Otto hard last season, tagging him for seven runs on seven hits and four walks in a 12-1 victory.

SEATTLE @ TAMPA BAY | 04/27 | 6:40 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -140
ANALYSIS: The Mariners used an explosive seven-run fourth inning to pull away from the Rays on Tuesday. The win was Seattle's fourth straight and seventh in eight games. I expect the Mariners to come down to Earth in terms of their run production. They’ve averaged over 6.5 runs over their last eight contests. Expect the Rays to bounce back and defeat Seattle.
