Wunderdog
Toronto at Cleveland
Pick: Toronto +114
Are we getting Roy Halladay as an underdog? Yes we are! He's pitching very well again this season having posted a 3.00 ERA. He's off a gem against the White Sox in which he allowed just one earned run on three hits in 7+ innings. He's never lost a start in ten tries against the Indians. Sabathia continues to struggle having put up a 1-5 mark with a 7.51 ERA. Sure, Toronto doesn't provide a lot of run support, but neither does Cleveland. The Indians are avaeraging just 4.3 runs per game at home (4.0 against righties). The Indians are just 3-8 this season at home against teams that allow under 4.7 runs per game. Sabathia is 10-17 the past three seasons as a favorite of -100 to -150. It's not often we get Halladay at this price and we're going to jump all over it.
Priceless Picks
1 Unit on Baltimore +146
Meche has been awful at home this season to the tune of 0-3 with an ERA of 9.00. With Baltimore's win over KC last night, the Orioles improved to 13-1 against the Royals over the last 3 seasons. In fact, the Orioles are 21-6 in the last 27 meetings in Kansas City. The Royals are 0-6 in Meche's last 6 starts vs. the American League East and just 6-14 in Meche's last 20 starts overall. The Royals are also just 3-10 in their last 13 games as a favorite. Take the O's here to continue their dominance of KC.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Kansas City Royals
Play: Kansas City Royals
We look for the Orioles to return to their losing ways tonight behind Steve Trachsel, who owns a terrible 4-20 team start record in the underdog role, including 1-13 on the road. He'll be opposed by the Royals' Gil Meche, who is coming off a seven-inning outing where he allowed no runs and four hits against Cleveland. Baltimore has lost Trachsel's last three starts and his ERA is approaching 10.00. KC rolls tonight!

Oakland -115 on ML over Texas--Smith (L) has been pitching great for the A's. He's 2-1 with a 2.54 ERA and even lower 2.14 over last 3 starts. He'll handle the Rangers on the road in Arlington
Royals -145 on ML over Orioles--Baltimore is tough, but Meche shuts them down tonight in KC. TAKE THE UNDER 9 RUNS. It smells of an OVER because of their ERA's being sky high, but I say they play a tight one tonight.
White Sox +105 on ML over Mariners--Contreras outduels Silva in Seattle. The Mariners are slipping fast and Silva is 4-9 lifetime vs Chicago. Contreras's ERA is half of Silva's over last 3 starts.
NL FREE B's
BREWERS -120 on ML over Cardinals--Milwaukee gets it done behind Parra at home. Wellemeyer's ERA is 5.29 over last 3 starts and Parra's is 6.43, so TAKE THE OVER 9 RUNS !
San Diego -160 on ML over Colorado--Peavy(4-1) at home over Cook(5-1). They've both been awesome this year. TAKE THE UNDER 6.5 RUNS
PHILLIES -180 on ML over Giants--Cole Hamels gets the W in San Francisco over Misch Hamels with 22 K's over last 3 starts. TAKE THE OVER 7.5 RUNS

Los Angeles Lakers (63-25) at Utah Jazz (58-32)
The Los Angeles Lakers travel to Utah, leading the Jazz, 2-0 in the semifinals. The Lakers have won two of the last three in Sal Lake City.
Utah will be aggressive in tonight's crucial Game 3 fight and will make this a tough battle for Kobe and his troops, playing forceful defense. The Jazz have played well at home and have covered the spread in eight of the last ten games at home, 6-3 ATS in its last nine versus the Lakers at EnergySolutions Arena. Go with Utah in a close battle. The Jazz are 39-5 at home this season and the home team in this rival has covered the spread in 5 of the last 6 meetings.
Utah Jazz - 4
MLB
Philadelphia Phillies (20-16) at San Francisco Giants (14-21)
San Francisco will send Pat Misch to the hill. The lefthander is 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in two outings, including 1 start this season. He faced the Phillies on May 2, allowing four runs, five hits and striking out two in four innings at Citizens Bank Park, a 6-5 victory, but did not record a decision.
Philadelphia counters with Cole Hamels. The southpaw is 3-3 with a 3.10 ERA in seven starts this season and is 2-0 with a 3.68 ERA, in three career starts against San Francisco.
The struggling Giants have lost five of their last six games and are just 14-21 thus far this season. Go with Philadelphia to outscore San Francisco. The Giants have been lifeless at the plate and have lost Pat Misch last 5 starts.
Philadelphia Phillies - 175
Mr. A's
Baltimore Orioles (17-18) at Kansas City Royals (15-19)
Baltimore has dropped five of their last six games overall and five of its last six on the road, while Kansas City is 3-3 in their last six and 1-4 in their last five at home. However, the Orioles have defeated the Royals in the last 10 meetings and sixth straight in Kansas City.
Baltimore will send Steve Trachsel to the hill. The right-hander has struggle, four straight loses, 1-4 with a 7.43. Trachsel is 1-3 with a 4.81 ERA in nine career starts against the Royals. Baltimore has lost five of his last six starts. Kansas City counters with Gil Meche. The right-hander is 2-4 with a 5.98 ERA this season. He pitched outstanding in his last start, going seven scoreless innings, in a 2-0 win against the Indians on Sunday. Meche is 4-4 with a 2.95 ERA in 15 career starts against Kansas City.
Take Baltimore! Orioles' Steve Trachsel may be struggling, but he will face the comatose bats of the Royals. Kansas City is 1-4 in their last 5 home games and 3-7 in Meches last 10 starts at Kauffman Stadium.

1 Unit on Cards/Brewers OVER 9
When these two teams get together in Milwaukee, we normally see a lot of runs. So it should come as no surprise that the Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Milwaukee. The Over is 5-2 in the Cardinals last 7 games as a road underdog and 5-2 in Wellemeyer's last 7 starts with 4 days of rest. The Over is 5-2 in the Brewers last 7 vs. the National League Central and 21-9-2 in the Brewers last 32 Friday games. Milwaukee is also 20-9 Over at home when the money line is +125 to -125 over the last 2 seasons and 35-15 vs. NL teams allowing 4.3 or less runs/game on the season over the last 2 seasons. Take the OVER here.
Marco D´Angelo
Today's Pick: TAMPA BAY RAYS
Tampa Bay Starter James Shields has been brilliant at home so far and should silence the Angel Bats tonight. In 3 home starts he has a ERA of 1.64 and that was against Boston,Toronto and Baltimore. TAKE TAMPA BAY.
Ben Burns
Today's Pick: Lakers/Jazz UNDER
After a high-scoring Game 2, the over/under line has climbed by several points for Game 3. That provides us with some additional line value. while most are expecting another shootout, I won't be surprised if the final score is lower than anticipated. The Jazz have held six straight opponents to double-digits in scoring in their last six games here. Those opponents averaged just 87.33 points. The last time the Lakers played here, the total was 216.5 and the teams combined for just 201 points. Including that result, the UNDER is 11-5 the last 16 times that the Lakers played a road game with an over/under line of 210 or greater AND 17-9 the last 26 times they were listed as road dogs in the +3.5 to +6 range. Consider a play on the UNDER.
King Creole
Today's Pick: ATLANTA BRAVES
TOM GLAVINE has looked pretty shaky in home starts (6.36 ERA) and daytime starts (15.43 ERA) so far in the 2008 season. But get him on the ROAD (2.92 ERA) or in NIGHT time starts (1.56 ERA), and you're talking a whole different story. He also has dynamite numbers against tonight's opponent. His record against the Buccos is 4-1 since the 2005 season with an ERA of only 2.40. He has not given up more than 3 runs in any of those 5 starts. He also loves this day of the week as he is a PERFECT 5-0 in his last 5 Friday starts. We'll also gladly get on board the current hot streak for the Braves as they are on a current 6-0 run in their last 6 games. Also 5-0 on Fridays and 5-0 vs starters with a higher WHIP of 1.30.
The Pirates usually have their problems when taking on left-handers (4-10 L14 vs southpaws). IAN SNELL is a guy who's allowed TWICE as many walks (10) as strikeouts (5) in his last 3 starts. That alone is great 'Play AGAINST' material. His ERA in last 3 starts is 6.61... it's OVER 5.00 in all home starts.... and 5.96 in NIGHT starts. His career ERA against the Bravos is 5.40. Pittsburgh is 7-20 after scoring 5+ runs... 2-6 on Fridays... and 4-10 at home with an OU line of 9-10.5 runs. Take the Braves.
