RED SOX
Take the Red Sox in Game 1 of the ALCS tonight over the Indians.

I can’t see the Red Sox losing this game tonight. I just can’t.

They hit their stride in the last two weeks of the regular season and it was due in large part to the return of their two sluggers in the lineup, David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez.

They are the two biggest keys to the BoSox lineup. When they are mashing the ball like they are now, it causes the opposition to pitch around them, giving the Red Sox ample opportunities to score early and often.

It also causes the opposing pitcher to run up his pitch count early, and in this case that could spell doom for Cleveland’s C. C. Sabathia.

Sabathia was wild in his start against the Yankees, lasting only five innings while allowing four hits, including two homeruns.

If Sabathia starts to nibble against the BoSox, chances are he won’t see the sixth inning tonight either. The burly left-hander is just 2-4 in seven career starts against Boston with a 3.91 ERA.

The Red Sox will counter with playoff extraordinaire, Josh Beckett.

The right-hander won 20 games for Boston this year and has a spectacular 1.74 ERA in seven postseason appearances. Beckett is 5-2 in his last 11 overall starts and the Red Sox are 5-1 in their last six at Fenway against a left-handed pitcher. More impressively, they are 4-0 in their last four ALCS games and 6-1 in their last seven playoff home games.

Cleveland went just 2-5 against Boston this year.

Take the Red Sox for the win in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Vegas Experts

Cleveland Indians at Boston Red Sox
Friday, October 12th, 7:35 P.M. EDT

Clubs went under in 5-of-7 this year. The under is 5-4-1 the last 10 meetings at Fenway. Both hurlers in top form. Sabathia has gone under in eight of his last 10 starts. Beckett shows a 4-2-1 under mark his last seven. Supporting angles say to Play Under - All teams where the total is 8.5 to 10 (CLEVELAND) - in the league championship series (86-32 since 1997, 72.9%) and Play Under - All teams where the total is 8.5 to 10 (CLEVELAND) - in the league championship series, after having won 3 of their last 4 games. (43-15 since 1997, 74.1%).

Play on: Under

4.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 9.0 Colorado at Arizona (10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
1-Unit Play. Take #953 Colorado (-105) over Arizona (10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
Note: This is our Total of the Week. But wait on this game! I think there's a chance that the number falls to 8.5 before first pitch. If so, consider bumping up this play to a 5-Unit game.

1-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 8.5 (+105) Cleveland at Boston (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
1-Unit Play. Take #955 Cleveland (+140) over Boston (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
I'm looking for runs, runs, runs tonight. We do have two of the better offenses in the league going at it so I'm looking for a first game 'over'. Wait on that 'over' as well because I think there's a decent chance that it drops to 8.0. If that's the case, double the bet to a 2-Unit Play. Just like with the Colorado-Arizona series, we'll be a bit more aggressive after Game 1.

2-Unit Play. Series Play: Take Cleveland (+155) over Boston.
We have to fade the public here.
