Yes. Baseball is probably my most profitable sport each year. September, in particular, is fun because the books are obviously more worried about football, certain teams have mailed it in, and certain teams are fighting for the postseason. Its been a profitable season and a very profitable month so far.

Very true. I think there's a few books that take a loss on baseball just to keep players from going somewhere else and possibly losing them for football season.
I would say there are more than a few. You would never make it in this competitive environment if you shut down for bases. Even local bookies I know are taking baseball now to hold onto clients
