St. Louis is 29 games over .500, just took three of four from Colorado, and defeated the Reds in six of its last eight games. John Lackey has been one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball since allowing eight runs at Colorado on June 8. He hasn't allowed over two runs in a game since then, going nine straight quality starts. He takes on Anthony Desclafani, who has had much more of a roller-coaster season.
