MLB Dodgers vs. Giants Picks & Predictions for July 6, 2013
By Anthony Rome

LOS ANGELES, CA (ATS Consultants) - The Dodgers will look to pick up another victory against the horrendous Giants tonight when the two NL West rivals clash in San Francisco at 7:15 PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -160 money line favorites over the Dodgers, who are +147 on the ML. With S Fife facing off with Madison Bumgarner in the pitching matchup, the total is currently sitting at 7 runs.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Giants opened as -145 money line favorites but their odds have jumped to -160, while the Dodgers' odds have gone from +134 up to +147. Los Angeles enters play with a 41-44 overall record and is 16-23 on the road, while San Francisco is 39-46 overall and 24-16 at home.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 54% of the betting public currently favors Los Angeles. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most updated numbers.

MLB FREE PICK: Take Los Angeles. According to latest MLB trends, Los Angeles Dodgers are 10-2 last 12 on grass, 7-1 last 8 vs. National League West and 7-2 last 9 during game 2 of a series. San Francisco is 3-13 last 16 vs. a team with a losing record and 0-5 last 5 vs. a right-handed starter.

The Dodgers send young right-hander Stephen Fife (3-2, 2.83 ERA) to the mound against lefty Madison Bumgarner (8-5, 3.08 ERA) Fife has started to come into his own. The young pitcher was outstanding in his last start, giving up no runs and just four hits against Philadelphia on June 30. Since June 3, he has not allowed more than three runs. He has started twice against the Giants, allowing three runs on 6 2/3 innings on June 26 (6-5 Giants win) and one run in 6 1/3 innings last year. Bumgarner has pitched well against the Dodgers, but lost his last start on June 24, giving up two runs in seven innings. But San Francisco lost to the Dodgers, 3-1. The Dodgers are moving up in the National League West, while the San Francisco Giants are faltering in last place. The Dodgers have won 10 of the last 12 and their last three series. They are finally getting healthy and the emergence of OF Yasiel Puig has made them look like a contender again. They are hitting a solid .256 against left-handers and are scoring 3.85 runs per game. That's not saying much overall but in their last 10 games, have averaged scoring 5.3 runs per game. San Francisco is having issues hitting the ball as they scored just three runs in three games at Cincinnati and were no-hit by Homer Bailey on July 2. Expect Puig, Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez to score enough on Bumgarner to deliver another Dodgers' win.

MLB FREE PICK: LOS ANGELES DODGERS +147
